"I'm glad as well," Ethiriel countered, though she didn't voice her previous concerns from before the two of them became acquainted. "I would like to hope that I do not come across as overwhelming. If that were the case, I'd pray not to chase him off."

The Sigel nodded towards Nell's suggestion, quite liking the idea, but it wasn't until Dair confirmed his mutual interest that her smile tugged upwards at the corners. "I would also like that. I'm sure Henry would love to meet Dair as well as have a chance to see you again, as well. I heard that you managed to pull him into safety at the spring viewing? It must have been a sight," Ethiriel chuckled, bringing up a hand so that her fingers could rest delicately on her collar bones. She knew that Henry was muscular and relatively tall, so she could only imagine the strength needed to tug him around.

Turning to Dair -- or, at least, in his general direction -- Ethiriel added, "Henry, my guardian, is quite nice. Rather exuberant, but pleasant company once you become adjusted."

"Well ," she said with a laugh, "I did what I could! Couldn't just leave him out there for the birds, could I? Hopefully most of the parties the Lab has aren't that exciting. " There was a bit of a pause before she added, a bit hesitantly, "Right?"

"I think I might know what that is like, " Dair interjected, earning him a gasp of mock-indignation and a light punch on his arm from Nell.

"Of all the things! Well, I'll let you two keep chatting, I'll get in touch with Henry later and see if we can't work something out, and I'll have him pass along Dair's phone number when that gets set up. Probably this weekend." This last bit was directed more towards Dair, who had perked up at the mention of it.

"It was good seeing you again, Ethiriel! Hopefully we'll be seeing some more of you soon! " And with a "bye!" to Ethiriel and a wave to Dair she took off down the path again.

"Yours is like that too?" he sounded a bit dazed, still not quite used to the boundless energy of his guardian.

With another dainty laugh, Ethiriel responded, "I suppose not. It seems to be everyone's luck within the lab for unfortunate circumstances during events."

While she wasn't sure what exactly the noise was, the Sigel heard the soft landing of Nell's fist on Dair's flesh and she raised a brow. She did chuckle at her fellow Raevan's remark, lifting her chin a little. "That sounds like a wonderful idea, Nell. I would love to keep in touch, so I look forward to a phone in his possession.

"Do enjoy the rest of your run."

"Indeed. I do not know Nell well enough to make a proper comparison, but Henry may be just a tad more... excitable. He is quite the character." There was clear adoration in Ethiriel's voice. Once upon a time, she could admit how nice a person Henry was, but his care was unwelcome. He was quite a bit better of a guardian than Leo was without a doubt, but the situation had tainted her opinion of the nurse until he proved himself.

As she finished speaking, Ethiriel hovered closer to Dair and reached out her arms for him to take. She preferred being connected to others whenever possible, but her underlying reason to get close was to possibly map her new friend out -- so long as he would allow.

Dair thought about Nell, and then thought about a more excitable Nell. "Oh. Wow." Maybe it was the case that guardians tended to have opposing personalities from their Raevans, Ethiriel didn't seem to be an excessively excitable person from what he had seen at least.

"I would be glad to meet him, then, " he said, his tone warm, but his words a bit hesitant. He looked down at his hands, rough and clumsy, and then over at Ethiriel's much more graceful ones. They were the trait that seemed to draw the most attention and the one that was the hardest to hide as well. But...with a final glance up at her face he reached out to take her hands, his fingers gently curling around hers

Dair's hesitance was met with upturned brows, but Ethiriel kept her expression calm and collected. She knew that not every Raevan cared for touch or physical contact, so until the tree responded in the negative, she kept her arms just outreached.

Upon first contact, the tea Raevan's fingers twitched in response, but as soon as Dair's rough fingers curled around her own, Ethiriel smiled and her brows relaxed -- at least for a moment. As she felt the bark that decorated his hands, the Sigel gave a gentle squeeze before trailing a tip along their rough texture. Her brows had raised, almost as if impressed, as she soaked in the feeling with great interest -- it was honestly one of her favorite feelings and she almost didn't want to wander away from Dair's hands. However, soon she trailed up along his wrist, higher up his arm until she met his skin -- still rough but smooth enough in comparison. Gently, she pressed her palms against the balls of his shoulders before smoothing them out and sliding along towards his chest. The scar-like veins that peeked out from the Frei's top made her pause again, the difference in texture obvious enough. Ethiriel didn't linger for too long, eventually dragging her fingers along Dair's covered neck before gently caressing his jaw. From there, hands trailing upward, she searched the contours of his cheek bones and temples, fingers softly combing through his thick, coarse hair until she was met by his branches. In surprise, she felt along -- it was like a mix between Rhede's antlers and her own crown, though distinctly bark-like. One hand traveled back down to meet the side of Dair's neck while the other found its way down the middle of his head, trailing down his forehead until they met his nose and drug along its length.

Once she was content, the hand that remained on Dair's face mirrored the one cupping his neck.

While Ethiriel couldn't see Dair's eyes, his skin tone, anything... she admired his appearance as much as she possibly could. In their silence and her exploration, her smile had increased enough to meet her eyes as she offered him a glance at her white teeth.

Part of her was aware of how intimate an action that this was, but so long as it was allowed she didn't let it ruin her mapping. Had he truly cared, he could have pulled away -- though, there was the possibility that he had been so uncomfortable that he was afraid to say anything. She hoped it was the former in this case.

To tell the truth, his hands and forearms didn't have nearly as much sensation in them as the rest of his skin did, so her touch felt nearly non-existent, and would have been easy to not notice if he couldn't see it. But see he could, his eyes tracking the path of her fingers until he could no longer see them without craning his head around awkwardly. He ducked his head obligingly to allow her to feel his branches more easily, eyes flickering closed for a moment as her hands brushed over them.

Ethiriel's smile, much broader than before, was enough to draw one similar from him once she had finished. "Not too terrible, I take it," There didn't seem to be any indication that he was going to move away, though she probably had noticed a bit of tension that had slowly left him gradually. He had been expecting a bit of a different response, though if asked he probably wouldn't be able to say exactly what he had been expecting.

After five years of exploring with touch, Ethiriel was familiar with many subtle reactions that one would hold -- she had, indeed, notice that the tenseness that Dair held eventually dissipated, making her own smile soften just a tad.

"Not at all," she said, leaving her hands gently on the oak tree's neck. Unless asked, Ethiriel didn't elaborate further on her opinion of Dair's appearance... at least, for now. She closed her eyes again and relaxed; his scent was still concerning, burning the Sigel's nose slightly, but she was becoming accustomed to it -- at least it no longer bothered or worried her; this was just how he was. The Sigel often wished that she could properly offer compliments to others, at least on their appearance, but Ethiriel had long gotten over the failing of her vision.

Though sometimes she did wish she could get a certain someone's lingering image out of her head -- it was almost torture sometimes.

Her smile had faded at that last thought, but only for a moment as she consciously fixed her expression. "How fortunate that we happened upon each other on such a lovely day. The weather will turn soon..." Ethiriel definitely didn't like the cold.

"I am actually looking forward to it," he admitted. While it hadn't been hot necessarily, being outside for too long definitely left him feeling a bit dried out. "Though I think Nell feels otherwise..." She had already mentioned how the mornings were already cooler than she liked, which didn't bode well for the next few months for her.

"Though if this is one of the remaining nice days that is left to us, I would hate to keep you from it." He tipped his head towards the path in the direction she had been headed. "If you wish to continue your walk I would be more than happy to accompany you." True she had Nedhudir to guide her, but perhaps the extra company wouldn't be unwanted either.

Smile still in place, Ethiriel lifted her chin at Dair's comment, lips parting in consideration. Fall months weren't bad, but spring was definitely the season for her. If it was too hot or too cold, the Sigel found herself having to stay inside or bundle up. In a way, colder days were easier to prepare for than hot ones, being able to bundle up and either retract her silver or keep it bundled. "Maybe you will be able to enjoy the more temperate months with me, someday."

While his essence might not have been as sensitive as her own, Ethiriel figured that most of the plant-based - whether it be by soul or essence -- Raevans preferred those two seasons.

Brows raising in thought, Ethiriel hummed in thought. She had honestly been so distracted, so interested in her current company, she forgot about the trek ahead of them. It was merely to get out of the house and get Nedhudir some exercise, but with his patient and taught nature, the collie hadn't complained once as they remained stationary. With a laugh, the Raevan nodded and slowly slid a hand back down Dair's arm to carefully wrap around. "And I would be more than happy to have you."

As they continued Ethiriel's earlier intentions, she and Dair talked about many things: her blindness and other senses, the world around them, what they knew of themselves and just about any topic the two of them could possibly think of by the time Nell had decided to finish her run for the day. The three of them gave their parting goodbyes, but Ethiriel and Nell were sure to exchange phone numbers for future plans -- Henry was to know about Dair's growth as soon as he was home so that he could make plans for the four of them.

Once the newborn Raevan and his guardian were gone, Ethiriel continued her walk with Nedhudir until later in the evening.
