Adria paused for a moment, watching the Agent's face. "Well," he said slowly, eyes locked on hers. "..I'm not dead, yet. So I still have time enough to figure out what I'm fighting for, and how I'm going to do it. No offense, but I think...I think, I'd rather choose my own course than have someone tell it to me. Doesn't seem like you have a lot of room for free thinking in the Negaverse. But."
He seemed a bit tense, like he wasn't sure where this conversation was going or if he was going to say something to upset her. He wasn't even sure where his mind was; it still felt like he had a lot of layers to sort through.
But...he was getting somewhere, at least.
"...Maybe you're where you need to be, and I'm where we need to be. And maybe I'll understand you better, and you'll understand me better. One day. I'm just...not sure that day is today, sorry."

"Figure it out sooner rather than later," she suggested, sensing that her attempt to do much of anything with him were all for naught. If anything, she'd pushed him deeper into the arms of order. Disgusting. Disappointing too.
"I make my own way," she said flippantly, lifting her hand to inspect her nails as he talked. She might have let Alkaid and Metallia influence her, but Stellerite was convinced she was a queen in the making. One day, anyway.
"Confidence is attractive you know," she pointed out, forefinger pointing at him with a curl of a smirk on her lips. "Get some, then try and talk to me again. We can discuss your revelations when you have them. I'm curious, really, to find out what you think when you get in a little deeper."kyuseisha no hikari i somehow missed this, again, sorry ;;

Adria's lips pursed at her words and he shrugged. He knew he didn't have a lot of confidence--in just about anything, so he doubted he was going to reach the point where she'd be satisfied.
Still, he nodded.
"I'll try. You...take care of yourself." He wanted to say something else--like, 'Stay out of trouble', but he wasn't sure it would mean anything. He didn't want violence and didn't wish ill-will on anyone. She had been kind enough to talk, even though they hadn't agreed on much.
He waved halfheartedly before he turned away. He didn't want to dawdle--and now seemed like a good time to go home and process. He slipped into the darkness to contemplate.
