Kida laughed a little as he was cooking. "Vlad may seem energetic but would you believe me if I said he is practically almost fifteen hundred years old?" Kida asked as he brought out some deer steak with mash potatoes, corn and broccoli. "Yeah I think this year he will be 1,474 give or take." Kida laughed. "And that old geezer acts his age occasionally to. Now those are scary times. You know something gonna really go down when he acts his age. So keep that in mind if ya marry him." Kida laughed a little. "So tell me what made you two team up?"

Did this man think she and Vlad were a couple? Goodness, she was pretty sure Vlad wanted rid of her the first moment he got. She still wasn't sure why he had freed her from the goblins. "We only met today. Less then a few hours ago. " She admitted. "He has chosen to be honorable, and not abandon me to fend for myself until other arrangements are made. It is something most would not do, and I am very thankful. But, I don't think marriage, or teaming up, would be the correct choice of phrasing. But I do enjoy his company. I rather like getting him a little agitated, in the way we women do. I like it much more then that gaze I see lurking behind his eyes." She didn't go into too much detail, and instead thanked him for the food and started to eat, as she waited for Vlad to return.
"Do you really have a problem with ticks?" She asked him. "You might try the River sap from the Eastern Edge---." The place where she came from. "the area is thick with magic, but there is a natural river that has a sort of sap that is good for that I believe. "

Kida blushed heavily. "I-I don't have a problem with ticks. He made that crap up to mess with me." He pouted as his face suddenly changed into an evil smile. "Hey listen you'd like to have him by your side always right? Why not contract him? Contracted demons can't leave their owners side unless ordered. All you'd have to do is kiss his lips and boom your contracted together. Plus as a bit of a revenge from me I know he has to be a virgin completely. I have never once seen him with a woman of any sorts unless it's for battle and stretegic planning. So how about it? You gain power to change your fate and I get my petty revenge. Sound good?" He asked smiling as he giggled at the thought.

A contract? It would change her fate. "Help me, and I will." She just needed him in the right place at the right time. Sure, it was petty...but she was desperate. She looked the male over then reached into the pocket , that was well hidden, of her gown and pulled out a small gold ring. It wasn't worth much, but her people believed that when you make allies who gift them with something. So she reached out , offering it to him. "I, Princess Ariella of the Eastern Edge offer you friendship." That was the official way to say it, and she did just that. She was well trained. "I wasn't allowed to bring anything with me. I hid that in my dress." She said.

Kida and pushed the ring back to her. "Keep it. It's fine. Now all we have to do is try to out tactic a fifteen hundred year old tactician.... Hmmm." He looked at the ring and smiled. "I've got it." Kids smiled. "Put on your ring and pretend like it's cursed then when Vlad tries to remove it that's the moment to strike." Kida stated laughing. "It's so perfect I'm surprised at myself. Hahaha!" He laughed. "What's so funny?" Vlad asked as he appeared from nowhere. "Holy cow!" Kida leaped over the table landing beside Ariella. "Vlad... Ugh did you do what you had to?" Kida asked as Vlad nodded sitting down. "Yeah..." He said looking at Arialla. "Our problem is done for good. Now I guess I'm the morning I'll be on my way and Kida do me a favor and get Ariella home. I'm going to bed." Vlad said starting to get up to leave the room.

She put the ring back on quickly, without being noticed. As he was about to leave she quickly spoke up. "Wait, please...before you go. Just help me remove this." She held her hand up to reveal the ring. "I don't think my magic alone is strong enough to do it. It is cursed." She said, looking at him. Oh, how she was well phrased in playing weak. It was a survival tactic for women around the world, especially those who were royal. People were eager to believe such a tale and take it easy on them..believe them. "Once I am free, I can leave and we will both take care of our wants."

Vlad sniffed a little then stared at Ariella. "I smell no curse on it. Why try to lie to me about something like that after the help I've given you? You ungrateful wench..." With that he left the room and slammed the door behind him. "Damn that didn't work. We will have to think of something else." Kida said trying to think hard of scenarios that they could use to help their cause. But he stopped thinking and looked at Ariella. "You ok?" He asked concerningly.

She smiled lightly. "I've had much worse." She wouldn't take it to heart. After all she barely knew either of them. Why should she care? "Well I don't think we have any time left. He leaves in the morning and I doubt he will come near me now." He was far too angry with her. ((On phone))

Kida looked at Ariella. "Hmmm.... What if you apologize? Vlad is a monster of logic, reason and strategy. But I've seen a side of him I don't think even he knows he has." Kida softly pat her back. "He has kindness. Though he lacks very much consideration for others he has a soft spot for things with life. Especially since he has seen so much death in his life. So I'm sure if you apologize to him you may see an opening." Kida smiled as he left the building.

It was her last shot. She got up and went to the door, knocking lightly. "Vlad?" She spoke softly, wanting to access that tender part of him. She knew it had to exist, because he had saved her from the goblins. "I have come to apologize. I am sorry...you're right...you did a great thing when you saved me from marriage to the goblin." In her mind, it was a great thing. The creature had stunk, a great deal, and had already been cruel to her. Marriage to him would have been a nightmare. But one she had been condemned to and would have suffered through, for the sake of others. Now she didn't have to worry about that.

Clad was laying in the bed. He never really slept since his room had first been stormed by the slavers. When a knock was heard from the door Vlad quickly raised his hand as shadow blades appeared aimed at the door. He listened as it was Ariella. He listened as she apologized and sighed. "Do you truly wish for my power that you'd play this farce?" He asked as he snapped his fingers. The blades vanished as the door opened. He sat up on his bed. "You know what the cost is for a contract right?" Clad said as he suddenly appeared in front of her with his hands softly on her cheeks. "The price is your soul is mine when you die. Do you honestly wish to be at my disposal when you die?" He asked as his eyes glowed silver brightly.

She came in and shut the door softly, for privacy. She smiled lightly at him. "I don't yearn for power. I have magic of my own. I do however, want freedom. " Something rarely felt by people of her rank. Women specifically. "How is you having control of my soul any different from how I am treated now? My own family sent me off to the goblins, who would have tortured me and used me at their own will. I just know that you are the first person who did something for me without expecting anything in return. I don't really know if I want to be separated from that person." Tears welled in her eyes. She desperately wanted to be free , free from the expectation that she would be a treaty. That she would never get to choose anything for herself. "Please don't send me back."

Vlad looked at her in a little bit of shock. But oddly enough a soft smile appeared on his face. He took in closely to himself as he embraced her. "Tell me your wish and I will grant it. This will be our contract. But be warned the void you will face after death will be of nothingness. No happiness, no pain, only insanity. Will you face the end with pride or live your life as it is by stone?" He took a few steps back then reached a hand out towards Ariella.

She smiled. "to die, will be an awfully big adventure." She was completely unafraid. She was knowingly making her choice, as she stepped forward and took his hand. If she was going to live, she wanted it to be on her terms. No longer would be let herself be a pawn in the game others played. No. If she was going to play, she would be her own master.

Vlad smiled as he slowly pulled her into him, he gently lifted her chin as his eyes glowed brightly. His silver eyes glowed amazingly in the darkness. He slowly moved in on her, their lips just a little from each other until he kissed her. He slowly pulled her closely into himself as he wrapped his arms around her. His warmth surrounded her like a blanket. A warmth began softly throbbing on the side of her neck. They continued kissing for a little longer until he slowly pulled away. "The contract is sealed now Ariella."
