Aqio leaned back against a counter as the other youth looked at the list. He looked up to Saj then over to Aqio. It was a simple phrase of. "So. Did you want a hidden blade on the handle, just in case someone comes up behind you? Or would you rather have a spike?" Aqio had this smug little half smirk as he remembered his first encounter. He had told the blacksmith that he would wait on the second handle extension until he was a confirmed Assassin. For now a simple set of daggers would work till he rose up in ranking. He waited to see Saj's reaction.

Having been told what to expect, the offer was not a surprise, but confirmation at least that his company — Aqio — knew the man as well as he thought he did, and also that the merchant was the sort to go above and beyond. Both were satisfying and worked in his favor. He gave a grunt of acknowledgement and held up two fingers, hopefully indicating the ‘second’ option, though he followed it up with an attempt at making a spike gesture.
Hidden blades, while they certainly had their uses, also came with complications, and one of their best advantages was for an element of surprise, particularly with an already-engaged opponent not anticipating a certain angle of attack. For someone approaching from behind or needing any kind of instant stoppage reaction, a spike allowed for quick damage and easy release with little chance of the spire getting lodged and stuck undesirably—unlike a blade, which usually had more likelihood of lodging or catching.
Quick, simple, and effective.

The blacksmith nodded. "Alright, spike. Give me a few hours, I have a few stock blades that were finished just this morning. Enough for you. I'll have to add the spike to the handle...then call you over." he vanished into the back. Aqio jumped off the half-wall he was leaning against. Smiling at the other. "Well...just a few hours. What did you want to do?"

What did he want to do?
Sajah studied his company for a moment, at an impasse. For starters, it was a wildly rare occasion wherein it was his wants that were to be catered to in any fashion to begin with—that simply hadn’t been the life he’d lived, though he supposed some of that would certainly be changing going forward. Still. In this moment, he couldn’t say he had anything specific he wanted other than to have his weapons in hand, and make it safely out of Oba’s borders with his and Nyko’s life in tact.
So, he shrugged. Aqio had been helpful, and had his thanks, but unless the other Matorian specifically wanted something of him, he was content to stand exactly where he was until he had what he needed, and go.
He assumed if Aqio wanted something specific, he would make it clear. People usually did.

Aqio chuckled as he sat and waited with the other. As the two waited, the smaller of the pair of Water youths sketched out a small map. The general area of the city was drawn out. Small back alleys and what looked to be almost hidden streets. He glanced up as the blacksmith came back out, giving the other the sheathed blades. Aqio smiled to himself as he heard the blacksmith mutter to Sajah. "No charge. Its not everyday I get to craft weapons of this sort. Consider it a well wish for your luck in future events." The hybrid would refuse any coin the Water male would try to give him. Turning with a wave as Aqio looked up. The smaller Water male slipped the parchment that now had a drawn path. "The red ink is the path that will take you out of the city the fastest. Without being seen. Use it if you wish, you won't be bothered. Take care, Sajah..." with that Aqio stood. Walking away as he hummed as he slipped his head veil back on.
