He looked up at Shade with wide eyes, speechless with surprise. For one thing, she was dressed like a fighter. For another, her hair... it was black?
Her playful tease made Dex's face turn bright purple with bashfulness. "Shade!" he finally gasped out, inhaling sharply. The onlookers were laughing, but Dex couldn't hear any of it. He was too caught up in Shade.. and her changes. "You know.. if you wanted to spar.. you just had to ask.." he said stupidly. He wasn't sure what to say!

And there was the blush. Her expression lighting up with a grin the girl nodded, "I suppose that's true. I didn't intend on fighting you....but I kinda got thrown into it so I thought, why not?" The dancer bit her bottom lip, "I also wanted to see if ya would recognize me. Since you seemed intent on throttling me into the ground I say my disguise works pretty well." Laying on top of him with her legs tangled in his was rather...nice? Was that even the word to put to the heat that spread through her stomach and her body as she started to realize their intimate pose?
Still, the realization was enough to make her wiggle until she could tumble away from him. Waving on the onlookers the girl grinned, "What never seen a playful spar between friends? You guys just don't know how true fightin' really works." She even was working on an accent to make her sound less Oban and more...country. It was fun actually. Smiling she pushed away from the ground and dusted off her pants. I suppose adding some dirt only helps my ruffian look. She teased herself with a smile before looking back towards Dexurn - her expression even more radiant as she glanced over at him.

Disguise? So that's what that was. She was changing her looks a little to be as undercover as possible. After all, her uncle was still a threat. It made sense, but.. "I little warning.. woulda been nice," he gasped out, watching her stand. Her surface look was different, but her movements were still clear to him now that her identity was confirmed. No matter what she wore.. she was graceful and smooth and- 'Dex! Watch your head!'
Taking a deep breath, he quickly pushed himself up, rubbing his arm that had gotten stuck. The change in her tone and speech... It was odd, seeing the changes being put into place. Yet, as she smiled back at him, his heart leapt up into his neck. She.. must feel so much better with the cover. So much more free already... Good gods, he could barely breathe... He was dumbfounded. The changes had done nothing to retract from her beauty in his eyes. Oh, was he supposed to say something? "I.. I'm thirsty," he murmured, trying to get the gears in his head aimed straight again.

"But where would have been the fun in that?" Quipped Shadiya playfully. She supposed that was a decent reaction at least. So far he hadn't seemed to reject her new appearance. While there was still a knot of worry the relief was beginning to seep in - as long as Dexurn was there for her the girl was happy.
Despite the pain in her legs the girl bounced over towards Dexurn, "You're what?" She asked with a slight tilt of her head as her hands reached out to wrap around an arm, "Thirsty for what?" She blinked innocently before a light flush decorated her cheeks, "I mean...water? Or ale? Or something else?" She tugged at him while her hip bumped against his, "Whatever it is I'm willin' ta pay the price since you won and I owe you an apology anyway for the surprise attack."
Honestly though she was still flushed from their fight. If it hadn't been for the audience watching their sparring match the girl may have been tempted to enjoy their fallen position a bit more. Just the thought made Shadiya grin before gently shaking her head. Behave yourself, Shade! Was her new persona really going to let her be so outgoing? As she glanced up to Dexurn she could only hope so. Even if her words didn't say much there was still enough said by the look in her eyes as she studied the Matori's face and gently bit her bottom lip, "Ready to go...uh find that drink?" She managed quietly before moving her hand to tuck back a stray strand of her now raven hair.

His skin sparked as Shade touched his arm. It had to be the adrenaline from the spar. From the shock. That was why everything seemed overwhelming. He was just still worked up from the fight.
Yet, he kept staring, and his heart continued thudding. No... it was the new way of interacting with Shade. The freedom in her eyes and posture. She looked as happy as she had from dancing... and he'd been able to "dance" with her this time. "Um.... both," he said, shaking his head to fight off the rest of the fog in his brain. Damn, she sure was pulling his strings today. "Lots of both..." Patting her hand that was on his arm, he lead her through the crowd among a few whistles and amused chuckles. "Where did you, um, wanna go?" As if he could think of a place to go with his head in such a tizzy!

" A bit of this and that, eh?" Shadiya smiled before nodding her head, "Sounds good to me. I could use a drink as well - let's just celebrate a new future with lots of drinks and good food." She flushed lightly, "I mean...as Shade and such." New future? With Dexurn? Could she even hope for such a thing? Though it didn't seem entirely out of the picture considering how she was leaning into him as they walked.
"Where do I wanna go? Anywhere as long as it's with you." She replied nonchalantly before a flush decorated her cheeks at the realization, "I mean...I know a good tavern. Let's go there~ Come on!" Laughing to try and cover up her little blunder of a confession the girl tugged at the Matori so that they could go and enjoy the evening a bit more...
