"It was worth a shot," Ernst shrugged. Or maybe it was just that she kind of reminded him of the Artemis girl he already knew. To be fair, it wasn't the outdoorsy part of Erica that was familiar in Marisol. She seemed very alert, though. Athena might be his next guess, but he'd wait for a response to Davor's inquiry, first. No use shooting himself in the foot if Davor was already right. Meanwhile he could maybe try and see where she'd put her token.

Actually. There was a thought. He paused very briefly in his shoveling to point at Davor. "I've already given my dorm away, but do you think you could guess his?" He grinned, already beginning to shovel again. The path upward was very clear, and they only really needed to get the speaker situated in the right place now. He guessed it was time to actually help take the burden off their shoulders, for now.

"Poseidon's not a bad guess but it's wrong," she stated, voice kind and acting as if the pronunciation had been perfect. "I was chosen by Hermes, if you can believe that." As usual she left out the why and instead went to work shoving the stereo the rest of the way. The shoveling had worked to make it easier and she felt less tired than she had before. Although she wasn't quite ready to run off to check on the progress of the other trails.

At Ernst question, she turned, taking in Davor. He was tall, an odd mixture of rough outdoorsman and kindness. The softness of his eyes was almost hypnotic in that she felt the urge to protect him--silly, he was rather clearly older than she was. It was the scar on his lip that made her wonder but she'd learned to read people a long time ago. No one could run a con without knowing the people they were around.

"Hephaestus would be my guess. A large, handsome man, who looks as rugged as stone but if given a chance can make your heart melt like a litter of newborn puppies," she grinned, a wink directed at the man in question before she turned back to Ernst.

That... that wasn't quite the answer he'd been expecting. Hey, did it suddenly feel warm out here on the slopes? Sure enough, Davor felt himself burning up as his face flushed red at Marisol's answer. He threw a glance Ernst's way that could have been anything from gratitude to, frankly, pleading for the attention back off of him, hard to say when he was so caught off-guard himself.

"Ah, we're done here," Davor announced somewhat needlessly, quickly turning away from them both to inspect the speaker and -- maybe also to cover the rare, bashful smile he couldn't help. Hell, he could appreciate that she hadn't commented on his pronunciation, either. He'd have to ask Ernst what Hermes' Chosen were all about, later, maybe.

He'd been about to interject with his next guess, but Marisol's answer stopped him cold. He tried to imagine her face next to Zan's impish one and could concede that yes, she might as well be from that dorm, too. "Not entirely unexpected," Ernst said. "But it wasn't my next guess, either, so thank you for sparing me the embarrassment." He offered her a very merry grin, which widened when she pegged Davor.

Man, the look on that guy's face. It made asking the question worth it - and Davor certainly was rugged and handsome, even if Ernst wasn't sure that he'd made his own heart melt quite like puppies yet. He was definitely a good fighter; Ernst would give him that. And way too nice for his own good. "Sharp, you are. But I'll head that way, since it does look like we're done here." Ernst pointed off into the distance, at the intermediate trail. Why not get this done while he could?

Then he'd stand out. Maybe he'd get a reprieve next time around.
