Character Name: Jack BurnettLocation: Walking around the Shark Stage area Action: Talking with Benji Normally Jack might have simply laughed and brushed off the implication that he hadn't been listening, but his observation skills and attention to details were a source of pride for him. Even the mere suggestion that he hadn't been paying attention, whether joking or not, was something he would not take laying down. His smile transformed into a sly smirk and he held up an index finger to wave in Benji's face. "Ah, ah, ah. What you said was that you shouldn't have been going through that area at night and that you tried to break into an abandoned house while ignoring gang signs. You never said anything to suggest you weren't ignoring them on purpose." He put his hand down. "But accidental or not, that still sounds like a pretty crazy thing to do going into an abandoned area at night all alone." At the mention that several of the gang members weren't likely to be having kids after that incident, Jack snorted in amusement. "Must have put up quite a fight," he murmured. "I'd like to have seen that. Next time you should call me so I can get a front row seat. Where's your phone?" The red-head blinked at being asked where he had come from before smiling and shrugging. "Moved here recently and just enrolled in that new school that recently opened up, Romano's. Gonna be starting there soon, but I'm still getting to know the locals in the meantime." Chuckling, he playfully elbowed Benji in the side. "How about you? What school are you going to?"

Benji has an energy draining wristbandCharacter Name: Benji Rhodes Location: Shark Stage Action: Wandering with Jack What was with this kid and getting all up in his face? That finger was so closed to just getting snatched up, but no, Benji was going to be nice. "Yeah, crazy. Just a little bit. But whateves. And naw, you're not invited, I bet your lily a** would just get in the way." There was no way in hell that he would even consider Jack to be someone that would come into a fight with him. He seemed fun enough, but scrawny, and more of a d**k who would just run his mouth non-stop instead of fighting. Not the kinda person you'd want at your side when things went bad. Still, despite his growing irritation at the kid and his blabbering, Benji pulled the phone out of his pocket and handed it over, keeping a close eye on Jack, just in case the sketchy b*****d decided to run away with it. He'd get a first hand look at just how hard he could fight! "Ah, fresh meat! You better be careful in this city. There's some freaky s**t going down sometimes. Night time is ******** crazy... But yeah, anyway, I go to HITS. That technical school for super nerds. What can I say? I'm handsome AND a genius."

Character Name: Jack BurnettLocation: Walking around the Shark Stage area Action: Talking with Benji "What?! C'mooon, I could at least be good support and cheer you on from the sidelines!" Jack laughed at being rejected. "You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, you know. You might just end up underestimating it." Nevertheless, his face brightened at being given Benji's phone and he happily went to contacts where he input his own number. Then he called it and made sure his own phone rang. "Perfect! Now we can keep in touch!" Jack handed the phone back to Benji with a broader grin than ever as if he'd just a game of bingo. "Hehehe, you sound like an old man, giving me warnings like that. How old are you, anyway? You can't be that much older than me, can you?" At the mention of HITS, he tapped his chin and looked thoughtful. "HITS..." If he remembered right, that stood for the Horizon Institute of Technology and Science. "...Uh...but that place is a charter school, right? Can't you only get in by chance?"

Benji has an energy draining wristbandCharacter Name: Benji Rhodes Location: Shark Stage Action: Wandering with Jack "You can SAY you're good or what not, but I'm not giving you the chance to prove it, kiddo." Benji pretended to give his returned phone a good looking over, juuuuust in case Jack had done something stupid. Of course he knew he didn't, Benji had watched him the entire time! "Old man? Dude, I'm sixteen! And yeah, charter school, but if you're smart, and got great grades, then you're golden. So what ever." Benji happened to get into the school through recommendations. All the schools he looked at before just weren't challenging, and his teachers recognized that. Before he knew it, he woke up hella early each morning to catch the bus to go to that goddamn charter school. And he LOVED it. "Anyway, Jack, you have any preference on what to do? Music's nice and all but I'm not one to stop and stare for way too long."

Character Name: Jack BurnettLocation: Walking around the Shark Stage area Action: Talking with Benji "If you're only sixteen, then you have no right to call me 'kiddo'," the red-head protested. "When's your birthday? I bet you aren't even a full year older than me!" He took out his own phone and saved the number that had just called him to his contacts under Benji's name. "Yeah? Good for you, then," Jack said with a genuine smile. "It'd suck to be stuck in a school where everything was so easy for you, it was boring." At being asked about his preference regarding where he wanted to go next, he stopped, thinking. "Are you hungry, yet? We could go get some snacks or lunch if you feel like."

My birthday is in January, so watch, soon I'll be seventeen, and you'll be even more of a little whippersnapper!" Benji gave his best old man voice and scowl, shaking his fist as if he was shaking a cane. At least HE thought it was funny. The mention of food sounded fantastic, especially with how hard the sun had been beating down on them the past few minutes. "Do you think we can get a drink? Man, I wish we were back at the water station. "

Character Name: Jack BurnettLocation: Walking around the Shark Stage area Action: Talking with Benji and enjoying the new music that started playing Breaking into an unrestrained grin at Benji's impersonation of a curmudgeon, Jack put his phone away and spread his arms, palms out in surrender. "Alright, alright, so you're older than I thought. But that just means you'll be the first one I'll be pestering when it comes to getting into night clubs and stuff." And then the music began as the band called American Authors hit the stage. "Whoa...speaking of clubs, that's some nice music. Hm?" He glanced back at Benji. "Aw, maaaan, you want me to go back there?" Despite the whine in his voice, Jack wore a crooked grin as he ran a hand through his already disheveled hair. "Fiiine, I guess water is kinda important. Did you want to wait here for me or come along? I can hurry and sprint if you prefer."

Benji has an energy draining wristbandCharacter Name: Benji Rhodes Location: Shark Stage Action: Wandering with Jack "Dude, do I LOOK like the kinda person who goes and hangs out at clubs? ... Karaoke is fun though, so you can bug me about that, no sweat." Once the music actually began to play, Benji found his attention drawn to them, smiling as a song he recognized began to play. "Damn, of COURSE they'd start playing as soon as I want something to drink." The other DID offer to go get him something but ehhh.... Naw, it was cool, he could wait. Instead he hooked his own arm into Jack's, giving him a bit of a grin. The young kid though to himself he must either be REALLY out of it or Jack was just pretty good at getting him out of his shell. Or maybe it was just pity. The kid was doing some pretty dumb things, and since he was younger, Benji felt like he should have a LITTLE bit of responsibility. "It's fine, it's fine.. You don't have to go back there just yet, waterboy. Lets go find some shade though, it's hot as balls out here."

Character Name: Jack BurnettLocation: Around the Shark Stage area Action: Leading Benji to a shaded bench "I dunno. You could be once you get older," Jack answered, grinning. "But you know what they say - there's no time like the present. Maybe there're some we could find that don't have an age restriction." He tilted his head at the mention of karaoke. "Or that. Haven't tried it. You like singing, then?" Noticing Benji start to smile at the song, he snuck his phone out once more and took a quick picture in what he hoped was an inconspicuous manner before stuffing it quickly back in his pocket. His eyes widened as he felt an arm against his own and realized his slightly older companion had linked them. The red-head quickly played it off as he returned a casual gaze to the stage, but mentally his thoughts were frantically trying to make sense of what the gesture could have meant. From what Jack had observed so far, Benji hardly seemed like the type of person to be so chummy with others, particularly someone he'd practically just met. He couldn't have gotten ahold of any alcohol, could he have? Or maybe his thirst was a late symptom of heat stroke and the sun was already making him act weird. "Dude, are you sure? I'd hate to have you faint on me. People might think I'd beaten you up or something if I ended up carrying around your limp body," he chuckled. "Wait a second, just how hot do you find balls? That some kind of fetish of yours?" He was still snickering as he led Benji through their hooked arms to a shaded bench to cool off.

Benji has an energy draining wristbandCharacter Name: Benji Rhodes Location: Shark Stage Action: Wandering with Jack/Drained and Getting weak "Yeah, I like to sing. s**t at it, but I like it." Benji wasn't oblivious to the picture but he didn't make a deal about it. Something just didn't feel right, and he felt so tired... It didn't take long for him to actually lean against Jack pretty heavily, until they made it to the bench. "Dude... Have you ever... s**t." He really couldn't think now, and when he sat down, he leaned back against the bench, groaning and pressing his palms to his eyes. "I feel so tired... I blame you." Even through his weakness he managed another grin towards Jack, "I haven't really smiled at ALL in years. And yet here I am non stop smiling at you. You're pretty cool. But take that as you will, I probably just keep talking because I'm SO ******** TIRED, like what the ********, dude? Do me a huge favor and find something for me, please? Maybe something to eat will perk me back up.. I probably should have eaten breakfast."

Character Name: Jack BurnettLocation: At a bench near the Shark Stage area Action: Sitting with Benji and talking to him to keep him conscious while calling for backup from the North Hydration Station "Hahaha, that's the best - doing what you like doing no matter how good or bad you are at it. That takes guts. Which I guess you already proved you have plenty of," Jack mused. He was getting gradually more concerned about Benji's condition however. Something wasn't right. This wasn't how dehydrated people acted, was it? Well, maybe it was...he probably should have read up more on it when he had been assigned to the Hydration Station. Doing his best to support Benji's weight, he listened to him, curious about his half-asked question before laughing lightly at being blamed. "What, you're so old now that just being around youth drains you?" He instinctively reached a hand out to press against the other boy's forehead to check his temperature before realizing how awkward a gesture that might have been between the two of them, particularly in public. The best thing he felt like he could try to do for him was to get him some water, but he didn't dare leave Benji now; not while he was acting so delirious. "Uh...yeah, about that, it's actually starting to worry me," Jack confessed with a weak smile of his own. "The smiling and the talking and the general acting-like-a-drunk." When he was asked to get him something, though, he hesitated. "Are you sure? You were just asking me to stay before. Promise you won't go anywhere or get abducted while I'm gone?" He glanced back toward the Hydration Station he had come from and grabbed the map from his back pocket, trying to determine which station would be closer. "According to a study, seventy percent of hunger pangs are actually thirst. I think we need to get some liquids in you first before food. You could really be dehydrated." The playfulness had faded from his voice as a certain serious concern took over. Right, he had his walkie-talkie! Maybe he could call someone without having to leave after all. Something Benji had just said suddenly sank in, though. "What?! You didn't eat breakfast?" he cried, staring at the other teen. "You idiot, don't you know that's the most important meal of the day?" Jack yanked his walkie talkie from his belt and pressed the button. "Hey, this is Jack from the South Hydration Station. I took a little break to walk around the festival with a friend but I think he might be dehydrated. He said he's feeling really tired and he didn't have breakfast this morning. I'd head back to my station, but we're at the Shark Stage and I think the North Hydration Station is closer. I'd rather not leave this guy alone right now in the state he's in, so do you guys think maybe someone could be sent over with some water? We're sitting at a bench near the stage." kuropeco Contacting Caspian Lyons at the North Hydration Station through walkie-talkies for help! beejoux Contacting Cassie Lyons at the North Hydration Station through walkie-talkies for help!

Character Name: Sailor Fierre -Disposable- Location: in the Shark Stage Area Action: Lost in the crowd Fierre wasn't surprised when Sparks sent out the call to assemble at this event, almost every big thing had something go wrong normally because the negaverse were being A-holes. Luckily they were able to slip in using a friendly guard and even better for the small senshi her uniform only required a baggy rainbow, tiedye, sweater over the bodice. Her pants blended in as did her heels, it was the bright, lacy, detailed bodice that always gave her away, that and the stupid tiara which was hidden under a ballcap. She was hot and uncomfortable, and likely looked like she didn't know the meaning of fashion but it was better than screaming out 'here I am come and get me'. "Terre," the short senshi called quietly to her companion... or at least she meant to call to her companion who wasn't there since apparently her team mate got separated in the crowd that had gathered around the Shark stage, the stage they were assigned to. "Damn... Where did she go?" They had a job to do and if she was giving up her video games to be here she damn well wasn't going to do it alone.

Character Name: Callum AherneLocation: Shark Stage Area Action: Feeling faint still, hanging with Rebecca! "I'll call you Becca, alright? Great!" He hadn't waited for a response, simply continuing with his spiel as he grinned from excitement and grabbed her wrist lightly, not wanting to seem like she couldn't leave his overwhelming personality. "Oh, isn't she marvelous? She's positively a dream, I've been listening to her music for years, when she was still a rising star, and I'm so proud-- Yes, yes! I'm a starving artist, you could say, I write and I act and I write some more! My work needs to be... Worked on some, but I absolutely, positively love to do it. It's my dream to make some sort of creation that reaches Broadway, but acting is not the most friendly profession, you should know." He swam in his thoughts some before murmuring some of his thoughts aloud, feeling positively talkative that night. "Winslet, Winslet-- That's the exact same last name as-- Oh goodness, darling, do you happen to be related to the marvelous and illustrious Kate Winslet?! Even if you're not, that's still one hell-of-a-name, might I say. Such a pretty name!" He exclaimed, before pausing for a second and rounding on her. "Do you live here in Destiny City? I'm a newbie myself, just moved here from the country, and everything is so very different!" He swooned, seeming almost as if in a dream. His eyes then darted to the side, seeing the stage in the distance and releasing a squeal of excitement. "Oh, come on now, we don't want to miss her!"
As they neared the stage, Callum seemed a lot more tired than normal, feeling his body drained of energy. He pulled out the water bottle in his bag along with the festival schedule, popping the cap and taking two large gulps from it before closing it and tossing it right back in. He looked over to the band, dimly remembering a song from them before glancing at the schedule and forcing himself to push through. His determination to see Halsey was far superior to his exhaustion, and he was positively baffled at how close he'd been to missing her-- "She's next! She's next, Becca, did you hear me?!" He squealed, eyes glittering from excitement as he pushed and shoved to get to the front, uncaring of those near or in front of him. His height made it easy to see through the crowd, anyways, and it was only ever exciting when he was this close to seeing his idol.
