Li gave a bit of a grin and said, "You're probably right, but even so you should really look for someone better suited to you." It was said simply but it was how he felt, if his friend was going to go chasing boys she should find one that was actually worthy of her. The one that had left her so upset was definitely not the right person for her. It seemed that Riya had figured that out on her own though, huh?

Walking along with Riya he found Uli at the river already, looking quite shaken, and he gave a little shake of his head, "Seems that even though you're the injured one that maybe it's Uli over there that needs rescued." Poor, sweet Uli, always ending up so upset. It made Li just want to go up and pet him on the head... which he actually went to do. Walking over to where he was flopped over Li reached down, petting him on the head as one might do to a favored pet before he said, "Come on, we should see to Riya's injuries now that I got her to come with me to the river. We just have to make sure that she is alright, kept stable and happy, until Uncle Makani gets back. Can you do that, Uli?"

She appreciated that her friend was teasing as well and his advice was well noted. Not that Iriyana hadn't come to the same conclusion herself. Either way, the advice was good. When they got closer to Uli she frowned. Even though she was the one with clearly broken bones Li was right, her twin needed the care more than she did.

The uncaring words that came from her brother's mouth made her scoff. "Wow, Uli.." She took only one more step toward the two and could only stare at her sibling. "I only just broke up with my boyfriend and broke my hand on his face because he was talking bad about you but you're right. I don't need your help." Riya took a deep breath in but when she went to exhale she simply turned around, tears forming in her eyes. Not only was it the pain in her hand but she had actually really liked the guy before he'd opened his stupid mouth. "I'm going. Li, don't let him fall in the water." Her tone wavered as her emotions threatened to spill over but she held them in check so that she could walk back toward the Inn.

Uli looked up equal parts shocked and hurt his sister would take it that far. Getting up he ran forward to place himself in her path. "Where in the frozen hills do you think your going!? Our goal here was to get that hand washed up...at this point who cares which wind that jerk came on! Turn around right now or I'm whistling for Bargeist and you know Bar will bring Mom..." It was a valid threat. Bargeist was a Poscuta that their mother trained. Little devil was fast and knew how to use that in his favor. Uli didn't like fighting with his sister, it wasn't right to his mind. If she wanted to be immature about things. Fine.

He wasn't going to let her walk away from their bond though. That he would fight...

Li gave a shake of his head, "Siccing the rat on your sister isn't the best choice, Uli. Come on, let's all take a deep breath and get this figured out. We only have to keep it together until my uncle shows up." He told him in a gentle tone of voice before he looked at Riya next, finding himself getting a touch dizzy having to look back and forth between the pair of them. Were they a bit younger, and Riya wasn't injured, he'd suggest a nap... though maybe after she got healed up that would still be an option he thought to himself. He was sure with as over tired as the two of them were acting they could really use the rest. Sure, they weren't little anymore but who didn't like a nap after a long, stressful day?

"I can't just let you go, Riya, not when you shouldn't be alone when you're in such a condition." Not just her physical injuries but her emotional ones as well. The twins were his best friends, those he'd know since they were just little babies, and it made him want to look after them that much more, to make sure that they were kept safe and happy. Today was a day when that desire was most prevalent in him.

Giving Riya a glance as she seemed to plead with him for help he nodded, "Of course, Riya." He murmured, hugging her close with one arm, offering her a shoulder to hide her face in. With the other arm he reached out, wrapping it around Uli, using his hand to cover his friend's eyes, "Really, what would the two of you kids do without me?" As though he were that much older then the two of them.

Having Li comfort her was enough to let her tears finally spill over. Thankfully Riya was able to keep any sobs she had to herself. When her brother moved away she heard him move and that made her close her eyes and turn her head into Li's neck to hide her face even more, just in case he was trying to peek. After a moment longer she heard Uli offer something and say that she needed to get the blood off her hand. She hadn't even thought about that. Almost as though Li had burned her she was moving away from him and wiping her eyes with her good hand. "Ah, did any get on your clothes?" Her red ringed eyes searched her best friend to see if she'd ruined his clothes. At the same time she was reaching for the wet scarf her brother had offered her. "Thanks Uli."

There was a soft nod from the smallest of the trio as he took in their words. The youth watched the waters, eyes dazzled by the reflection of the light on the liquids surface. He had found himself doing that more and more. Small things around him, not people were starting to distract him for longer periods of time. He drummed his fingers on his clutched calves. Some melody forming in the back of his mind. It was something his Mother did as well, she always was humming something weird or singing a nonsense phrase here and there. Its what made her endearing to the youth.

He glanced to his sister. "So, he insulted us and you bashed his face in." he restated from her earlier comment. "You made sure he wasn't going to report back to Mother right?" there was a small trial of nerves forming on the back of his neck. If their Mother got wind of this...oh boy...

Li gave a smile before he said, "Well, it was nice of you to protect our modesty. Like a dangerous knight in shining armor." Li said, giving Riya a smile before he gave a humming sound, "So someone was starting trouble with members of the inn? Well, if you want, after you get patched up, you can always report it to Gyuri. He can make sure the little poscutta doesn't come inside our inn... or if he does everyone will know he's a trouble maker that can't be trusted." He was all for banning the guy from the inn if he was picking on Uli. While Li wasn't really bothered by it, seeing no reason to be, he didn't like when people picked on the naive little Uli.

Looking to Riya he said, "Well we can see about getting you inside to talk to your mother after my Uncle gets back. I think it would better to face her when you're in one piece. It would look better for you." He said, glancing around, then stood up right, lifting his hands to his mouth so that he could call out, "Hey! Hey! There he is now! Uncle Makani! Can you come here a moment!"

Riya was happy that Makani had finally come back. That meant her hand could be fixed up. At least she wouldn't feel too much pain after that. When her brother got all excited to see the magic user she couldn't help the small smile that found it's way out. Though she gained a confused look when her sibling turned to look at her then hugged himself. Why did she get suddenly get a bad feeling? Was he getting sick? There was a breeze, sure, but Riya didn't think it was cold. She'd bring it up to their mother when she spoke to her.
