At hearing his reply she could only stare at him. Fallon's cheeks colored a little but she hid it by looking down the path. It seemed that she could almost call Jolanta her knight. Only, she was no princess nor did she want to be. So instead she would call him... A friend. The answer came to mind quickly and she fully agreed with it.

Once she was free of the bush she'd managed to get caught on she looked at Jol and waited for him to start walking. From earlier she now knew he didn't want her to walk in front of him. Not that she knew entirely why. Then she caught the smell of an ocean breeze and seemed to perk up. They were indeed almost there! Fallon adjusted her basket in anticipation. Soon it would be full of everything she needed.

As they stepped off the path and out onto the beach Jolanta's hand went to hover above the wooden sword that hung on his back. After glancing fro side to side he gave a nod, "It appears as though its empty today, Miss Fallon." He turned to look back at her, arm lowering to his side before he asked, "What is is that we are looking for today? I don't mind aiding you in your search." Provided that he knew exactly what it was that she was looking for. If it was something he didn't know he'd just have to learn because it was something important to a priestess in training.

Starting forward he scanned the area as they went, making sure that there wasn't anything hiding on the sand. For the time being he didn't see anything but that didn't mean that he would be any less alert. He had a priestess in training with him and if anything were to happen to her he would never forgive himself. He was here for Fallon, to keep her safe, and that meant staying on a high alert from now until the moment he dropped her off in the Sanctum once more.

Turning toward Fallon he waited for her, to see what it was that she was looking for so he could help.

As they moved from the path to sand she took a deep breath and let it out slowly. The air was fresh and smelled of salt. It was comforting. Truly it was one of Lurin's great creations. Though the deep depths beneath had to have been the hand of Dafiel.

Her eyes went down the stretch of of land to see the open space. It did appear they would have it to themselves today. Fallon was relieved at that. It meant she could do what she needed to do without having to stop to pray for someone in the name of the gods. "Well, the Sanctum is running low on kelp. So I need to get some to take back and dry." Since she helped out in the greenhouse she knew what she was looking for and how to hang it up for drying. "Wide strips with no air bubbles in the middle." Fallon held her hands up to show just how wide she meant.

Moving on she headed toward the rolling waters and set her basket down just out of reach of the waves. Next came her shoes then she was holding her dress up so that she could walk a small ways into the ocean and begin her search.

"Kelp? Gotcha." He said, glancing around the area. Alright, wide strips of kelp that didn't have air bubbles in the middle, he could do that. He took note of how far apart her hands were so that he would know exactly how long the kelp needed to be so that it would be useful to Fallon and the Sanctum. Walking along he kept close to her even as he sought out the sea plants that she needed.

He gave pause as they came near to the water, taking in the way that the ocean was behaving at the moment. It was still fairly calm, meaning that it should be alright for them to be near to it. Given the time of day they shouldn't have to worry about the tide since it would have already done its thing. After scanning the water for any beasts that might be lurking within its depths he returned to the search. So long as he stayed within arm's reach of Fallon, so he'd be able to catch her were she to fall, things should be alright even with him kelp hunting.

"Make sure to watch where you step." He cautioned as his foot brushed against a shell that was in the water. He reached down to pick it up, giving the thing a once over before tossing it into deeper waters.

She turned to look at Jolanta as he tossed the shell into the water some ways away. "It'll be fine Jola. It's just water." Fallon gave a giggle and shook her head before going back to her search.

When she noticed a small gathering of kelp not too far away she moved toward it to collect some. Of course she needed to get farther out into the water and that meant it would be pointless to hold her dress up. With the water to her thighs she looked down as if wondering if she should hike the skirt of her dress up higher before finally letting it drop and soak up the liquid. Bending over she reached in for the kelp. After she had it in hand she started to look for more. "Oh if you see any star fish I'd like those too." Fallon turned to look at Jol before being knocked over by a wave she hadn't braced for.

Jolanta wanted to say that it was just water, wanting to say that it was also the things that lived in the water... but he would try to stay calm. It would be alright, all they were doing was gathering kelp after all. He watched her as she moved toward a good amount of kelp and he moved to follow along after her, not wanting her to get too far ahead of him. As she went she mentioned finding star fish, which had him instantly wondering what star fish were good for... but he didn't get a chance to ask.

Lunging forward toward Fallon as she was dragged down by the water, going under himself so he could wrap his arms around her middle, dragging her up out of the water. Once he'd fished her out he tried to lead her toward the shore, "Are you alright, Miss Fallon? Can you breathe? Maybe I should get the kelp! The water is obviously a bit more unpredictable then I was thinking it was." If it was going to knock her over then maybe it was far too dangerous for her to be wading in?

While she hadn't beed expecting the tumble into the water when she was fished out of it she coughed slightly then laughed. Though as Jolanta tried to drag her back to the shore she attempted to pry his arm away from her. "I'm alright Jola! It's water." Fallon then blew out to try and move a piece of hair that was hanging in front of her face.

When that didn't work she reached up and moved the hair with her hand. Still amused by her fall she chuckled and turned her head to look at her escort. "It will be fine. I'm not hurt so I can still look." She would have fallen into the water if she had come to the beach herself so to her it made no difference.

Jolanta carefully looked her over, hovering for a moment, making sure that she did look alright. As far as he could see it seemed as though the water had knocked her over but it hadn't done much in the way of damage. She also didn't seem to have fallen on anything when the wave pushed her. After a long moment he finally said, "Alright, you do appear as though you're alright." As much as he would prefer that she waited on the beach while he fished out the kelp and star fish that she needed it seemed as though she wasn't going to have that. Didn't she know that he was here to do all of the heavy lifted and dangerous deeds?

"If you're certain that I can't fetch everything for you then I guess we can get back to it." He would just have to continue to keep a good look out... especially if the waves were misbehaving. He knew all about how vindictive nature could be from personal experience so he didn't trust it to behave just because Fallon was a priestess in training. It was up to him to make sure that she didn't have to deal with all the same things that he'd dealt with personally in the past.

She did her best to try and push him away as he hovered and laughed the whole time. "I'm fine, really." Though when he mentioned that he could get them she sighed and gave in. "Fine. You can look for the kelp and sea stars. I will search the sand for Abalone." Surely he couldn't argue with that?

Fallon smiled at him yet again. She fully expected him to accept this compromise. After all she was letting him have all the fun in the water.

Jolanta looked pleased when she said that he could go and fetch the sea stars and kelp from the ocean and that she would look for something called abalone in the sand. That was something that he could definitely agree to because it meant that she wouldn't be in as much danger when it came to the waves trying to knock her around, "Alright, that sounds good. Please stay nearby so that I can continue to serve you, Miss Fallon." He said to her as he waded back to the water so that he could seek out what it was that the priestess in training wanted.

After some searching he found a few good tangles of kelp, gathering it up, dragging it in to the shore to pile it up before his eyes went to Fallon. His eyes seemed to continue to go from seeking out kelp and stars then back to Fallon, toward what he was looking for, back to Fallon. The stuff he was seeking out was important but the priestess was more so.

"I got a good amount of kelp, Miss Fallon. I will look for your sea stars next." He let her know how things were going. Once he found the stars he would see about then going through the kelp and figure out which one were the best in the pile. He didn't want to give Fallon sub par kelp after all.

She is going to give Jol a heart attack. XD

Happy that he accepted those terms she set to work on digging through the sand. While she didn't find large pieces, Fallon managed to dig up several small pieces of Abalone. She wasn't aware of Jol keeping an eye on her since she was too busy searching for what else she needed. Though when he spoke she stopped and turned to look at the pile he spoke of. "Oh great!" Using her dress as a pouch she collected her haul and got to her feet as Jolanta went back into the water.

She deposited her collection into the basket since there was no need to go through and sort them, then turned to give her attention to the kelp. Before she could do so she noticed someone in the distance walking toward them. Tilting her head she tried to figure out if they were specifically headed toward her or simply walking. Either way she started to head in their direction as well. If it was someone in need of prayers then she would be happy to help.

Jolanta was picking up a pair fo star fish that were sitting in the water near to each other when he heard Fallon calling out too him, using her dress to gathering up all of the kelp that he'd dragged in. It seemed as though she wasn't too worried about it being a bit tangled up. Hadn't she said she was after specific kelp? The sort that was a specific length without any bubbles? He hadn't been able to sort it yet, what if it wasn't up to the standards of what she'd been asking for? That was a touch worrisome. Well, if she took it then it must be alright, right?

He leaned down, picking up a third star when he realized that she was starring at something in the distance. He blinked a couple times, "Miss Fallon?" As she started forward he dropped the stars and rushed after her, nearly tripping a couple of times in the sand as he went, "Wait, wait! Where are you going, Miss Fallon?"

When she got close enough to see that the person she saw wasn't a Yaeli native she stopped. It worried her a little. As far as she knew none of the mainlanders had moved here. So what were they doing? As she heard Jolanta speak, or rather shout, she turned her head to look at him and give him a clear view of the Oban male that was walking their way.

Fallon remained quiet, thinking that the sight of the outsider would be enough to explain why she had walked away from their little spot. In truth she wasn't sure what to do. So when she looked back at the man she offered a small wave. She didn't see a weapon in his hand so maybe the gods had put him there for her to speak to. To lead him to them? With that in mind she took a few more steps toward the Oban. "Hello!" She greeted him cheerily.

Jolanta's entire body went for a moment stock still as he starred at the strangely colored person that was standing before them. An outsider... no, a mainlander... though he wasn't quite sure which of them was worse. The ones that had been banished to their island or the ones that banished people to their home. It was kind of hard to say which of them was worse but what he knew for certain that neither group was welcome anywhere on Yael and most certainly no where near a priestess be she in training or not.

Rushing forward he stepped in front of Fallon, drawing his wooden sword from the sheath on his back, and said, "Get your basket, Miss Fallon, we are going back to Pajore." He felt bad, very bad, ordering her to do something but it was best to keep the invader away from her! Lifting his weapon up he pointed it at the Oban, giving him a dark look that he hoped would drive them off. If it didn't he'd just bludgeon the guy into a pulp with his sword.

She was still walking forward when Jolanta got in front of her. This time Fallon didn't get to stop in time and ended up having to wrap her arms around him to keep from falling. Thankfully it was after the wooden weapon was drawn. She blinked a few times at Jol. "We are? But.. I don't have everything." Her eyes went toward her basket. Surely there was nothing wrong with this one mainlander?

So she leaned to the side, still holding onto him, and smiled. "It'll be alright Jola. I'm sure the gods brought him here to be shown the way." It would be her way of thinking. As she turned her gaze to the Oban she noticed that he now had a blade in his hands as well. Whether or not it was in response to Jol's weapon she didn't know. "Jola!?" Now her grip on him tightened as she seemed to freeze up. Fallon didn't want there to be a fight. Fighting meant people got hurt!
