Incanthis gave a nod of agreement with what Aaricia was saying about the business as he dug around the scraps, finding various things that he could use that would work for the twins. Each piece that he decided upon he put over his arm, making sure that he had enough to work with that he'd be good on patches for some time. Abie especially needed a lot of them given that he worked with a lot of little whelps that had sharp teeth and nails, whelps that climbed all over him.

As he was asked about sewing Incanthis gave a nod, "Yes, I did a lot more when I was with my former ma... ahh... hm... where I lived last." He cut those words off, feeling that they weren't ones to be talked about, not in front of an Oban that was only treating him kindly. Patting a hand against the cloth he'd gathered he said, "Nowadays I seem to do more in the way of patch work and the occasional creations for myself." He wasn't one for fancy clothing, but it was a relaxing way to spend time when Junior wasn't trying to make off with his work in an attempt to get all of Incanthis's attention.

"How about you? Something that you do a lot, Aaricia?"

Dropping a spool of thread into the basket, Aaricia cocked her head slightly. From full time to patchwork? Well, as long as he was happy with the change. "I like creating for myself as well." Too bad her father restricted her so much...

"Oh, yes. I prefer to do all of my own sewing." Expression softening, she gazed affectionately at a spool of dark blue thread. "My mother is a seamstress. She taught me everything when I was young. ..She loves dark blue colors like this."

"It can be fun to get to create things from scratch though there is a lot of work that goes into it. It's definitely worth it when something gets finished up and you get to wear it." He murmured, finding himself wondering if maybe he should see about making something for himself again. It had been a while since he'd done so and it might be a nice way to spend the time he wasn't practicing magic or playing with Junior and the twins.

Giving Aaricia glance he gave a smile, "I hope that you're able to find what you're looking for so that you're able to continue with your sewing then." He said to the kind girl. So she'd learned her skills from her mother then? That sounded quite nice. It made him think for a moment about his own mother and everything that he'd learned from her before she'd passed away. It was something that made him miss her that much more but he tried to push such thoughts aside as he asked of Aaricia, "What do you plan to make for yourself this time around?"

"Definitely worth it," she agreed. Aaricia looked down at her current dress with a frown. It was one her father had bought her. It was well made... but anything that man gave her felt more like a chain than an outfit.

Aaricia gave the man a sweet smile and dropped another spool into her basket. "Thank you. I believe I will find just what I need here." Even if it wasn't exact, figuring out working combinations was a fun challenge. Part of the charm of finding a shop with limited but quality items.

She wandered over to the fabric selection next, getting a look at what was available. Perhaps not today, but she'd keep it in mind for later. "Oh, it's nothing spectacular, I'm afraid. Another dress and a nightgown. Perhaps something small with the remaining fabric."

Incanthis gave a smile and a nod before he said, "I am glad that the place will be of use to you." He moved along as he spoke, inspecting everything around on the shelves, finding a lot of new things. The fact that she was enjoying the place meant that it was a good thing that he had spoke up against the abhorrent merchant woman and ended up leading her here. After a moment he gave a smile, finding some rather nice, deep blue fabric that would look nice if he made it into something. Maybe he could wear when he returned to Jauhar instead of wearing the colors of the Obans. Just a thought though as he wasn't sure when he would be heading back, all he knew was that he wanted to go back... even if just to visit.

Turning to her he gave a smile, "I see, that sounds nice." So she was going to make herself a lot of things then? That was interesting, and it kind of encouraged him that much more to make things himself.

Aaricia smiled as she pulled another section of fabric down. This would make a much nicer scarf for going out than the heavy one... Sounds nice? She looked over to the shifter and smiled. He sure was sweet.

Carrying an armful already, she looked up when she heard a heavy throat clear. Ugh. One of her father's goons... Holding her choices firmly, she walked over to Incanthis and gave him a little curtsy. "I'm afraid I must be going. Thank you again for showing me such a lovely little shop, Incanthis. It was a pleasure to meet you."

Glancing warily at the big Oban, who had cleared his throat again, she quickly walked over to the desk to pay for her purchases.

Incanthis turned his head at the clearing of a throat, spotting someone standing there, and it made him go stock still. Seeing a rather serious looking Oban standing there was something that made all of his Incanthis's old fears start to crop up, making it impossible for him to move a muscle until Aaricia came to stand before him. He blinking a couple times, watching her curtsy, "Ahh... yeah, so I see." He murmured, glancing at the man who had come to take her away. There was that part of him that wanted nothing more then to summon some of his magic, to chase the intimidating man away, but he really couldn't. He'd interfered enough and didn't want her getting in trouble because of his thoughts on things.

"It was nice to meet you, Aaricia." He murmured, watching her go. After she left the shop he gave a sighing sound and went to work gathering the things that he needed. After he had gathered all he needed he paid for it, got Junior's leash, and headed for home. He'd had enough fresh air for one day and was eager to get back to where he was staying, settle in, and see about getting to work on his sewing.
