Votzhem (Post 4) ~~~~~~~~~~
Votzhem found himself separated from the others as he stepped forward to recieve his blessing. He knew he had one - Mother would provide him strength, just as she had when he'd been lost in the cold lands. Gently, he picked one and opened the petals, drinking the nectar from within.
Perhaps he imagined it, perhaps not, but he knew, deep within him, that this brief shot of sweetness connected him to all of his Sisters, no matter how they might feel about him. This was their great Mother's love, the sweetness that birthed them and sustained them, and the sweetness that would mourn their passing when they were gone.
It connected him, too, with children like his own - the ones to whom Aisha was grandmother and not mother. Though perhaps they were not so connected to her as he was, a little bit of her love flowed through their veins too.
He tucked away the now-empty flower to show his children later (perhaps they would join him one day, here, under Aisha's boughs) and left to join the festivities.

Dyakida (Post 4) ~~~~~~~~~~The crowd was jostling, moving around like a living thing. Though separated from Briella, Dyakida was not afraid. She was safe here, and many of her sisters knew her and would guide her when the time came. Her hand rested on the shoulder of a Sister, and she found herself in a small eddy in the flow of the Alkidike. She decided that she was done being jostled for the time being. "Excuse me, sister, but could you stay with me as I find my flower?" she asked, "I don't wish to be lost before the festivities begin." painted moose Dino is not available so lets bring them together razz

Mnyiri - Post Four
With the crowd shifting towards their Mother Mnyiri lost track of Ilyra. She wasn't worried about it, though; surely after everything was said and done she would be able to chat with her once more. After all, it wasn't as if she could leave the island without a boat so they had to bump into each other sooner or later.
It wasn't that strange for someone to put their hands on Mnyiri; usually in pleasant ways, though not always, so she wasn't entirely surprised to find one on her shoulder. She turned to look at the speaker, then split into a bright smile. "Have no fear Dyakida, you won't be lost with me around." Mnyiri turned a bit, just so that she could fully see the smaller alk, though she moved slowly so as not to lose Dyakida's touch. "Are you okay with having your hand on my shoulder, or would you rather have my arm?" She was tall, even for an Alk, so she wasn't entirely sure what would be the easiest for her.

Dyakida (Post 5) ~~~~~~~~~~The voice was familiar - it was always nice to find someone she knew to guide her. "Mnyiri, correct? Ilyra's sister." she asked, remembering. "Hand or shoulder - either works." she answered, smiling. She wasn't picky (too picky) about how she was guided. "I'm just grateful that I will not be lost." Carefully, with her guide, she started forward on the uneven, root-tangled ground, seeking a flower that was hers. It was a matter of choosing, of course, but she'd heard once that Aisha made these flowers with each of her children in mind. Hers was among them. Would it smell different? More, perhaps? Did it look different? Dyakida wondered this every festival. But she always found a flower, and she would this time. She would take part in the ancient ritual, and feel her strength join with those of her Sisters, as it had for many Sisters before her. Goddess, though, Mnyiri was tall. The difference in their height - though small - effected the balance of their walk, and Dyakida ended up hooking her arm in Mynyiri's as well as putting her other hand on her shoulder, for additional support and guidance. "I hope you don't mind this." she said, a little apologetically. It was, after all, an intimacy that some were not used to.

Mnyiri - Post Five
"Yep, that's me." She gave her head a little shake, allowing her bells to do the talking for her. If Dyakida remembered nothing else about her then she should remember the sound.
Slowly, she picked her way across the jungle floor, making sure to avoid as much of the roughened terrain as she could. It wasn't easy, considering where they were, but at least she'd managed to dodge the worst of it.
She paused just the slightest so that the other alk could shift her positioning. It surprised her to see the other getting so close, especially since on more than one occasion she'd been told to stop getting so close to others. "It's alright; I don't mind it. We're almost to the front now, so get ready for it."
An elder alkidike noticed the pair of them, but did little beyond raising an eyebrow to stop them from going together.

Ekene
The sounds of drums and flutes and the laughter of the Sisters having a good time filled the air, the sun continuing to streak across the sky. It was always a welcomed break when they were to meet with their Mother and celebrate with her during the hot summers of Chibale.
Before long, the sun began to dip, streaking orange and brilliant reds across the skyline. It was time for those who had travelled to return to their homes. The boats were loaded with women and began their glide back across the sea, while those who called Chibale their home returned to their beach bungalows for the night. The clean up would be there for them tomorrow, but for now, everyone was just happy with their vacation from their daily lives.
