"Ah," Newgrange said, reaching up to rub at his head briefly. The explanation certainly helped—and made him worry less about what had just happened, but he didn't feel any better about actually hitting her.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit so hard," he apologized, once again seeming genuine. "You know, I was worried about my magic, but now I'm more worried about yours. You can't control it?" he asked, lips pursed. "It seems like the only thing that happened was that I got stronger and…I guess I wasn't thinking straight, but that's not exactly a good thing. If you practice more…do you think you'll be able to control it better?"

Fortuna straightened and avoided wincing at the pain that caused. "Well, my sphere is gambling, It can't be predictable, otherwise that would be cheating." She responded with a slight shrug as she brushed some dirt from her skirt.
"When I am targeted it fills me with adrenaline and my attacks are more powerful and accurate. If I used this attack on someone the same level as me they would have fought erratically, but I could have handled it better. You are a lot stronger than me, so that plan backfired a bit."
"You can't win them all, and not everyone's magic can make the earth shake." Fortuna added with a soft laugh.

Newgrange still seemed sympathetic for the damage he'd caused her; he couldn't understand why anyone would want to fight—or want to hurt someone else. He lingered to the side, as though he wanted to offer aid but didn't want to intrude.
"True," he agreed, "But I've seen people with better magic and better weapons than I have, so I'm still not certain I'm not doing something wrong. Do you—do you want to head home and get some ice for that?" he asked, finally; there was only so much aid he could offer, with her a Chaos Senshi and him a Knight, but he didn't want her out here or pushing herself any harder with an injury.

Fortuna hid a wince. "I'll be fine, Don't worry about me." she told him gaining full control over her features. She could not appear weak to the knight, even if it did hurt like hell.
"But I probably should be heading home, it's late. Maybe we can try this again when we are a little more evenly matched." Fortuna added with a small laugh. She offered her hand to him to shake with a friendly smile.
"No hard feelings, I hope we can be... well friends."

Newgrange nodded. "Yes, absolutely. I'd like that." He extended his hand and shook quickly before moving out of her way. "You go on, go home and take it easy. Maybe next time…we'll take it a little easier."
He didn't seem to think she was weak, merely concerned with her well being. He gave her a little reassuring pat on the back. "Be safe, okay?" he insisted, but seemed like he was ready to move out of the area. He wanted her to make it home safely but understood the importance of preserving her identity; to be safe, he figured he'd head out so she didn't have to worry about him following her or something.
He waved, promising, "See you soon," before he headed in the opposite direction.

Fortuna smiled and nodded at him. "Yeah that sounds good." she told him with a little laugh. She did a quick scan of her surroundings to make sure nothing else was near by and then nodded to him.
"You stay safe as well, have a good night." She told him before making her way to a mirror. She had successfully distracted her from the nights events and was now eager to get home and rub some tiger balm on her stomach and go to bed. At least the bruising wouldn't be in any noticeable places.
