The door to the bar swung up quietly as the other three hunters conversed, making their bets about the next job they would receive. Through the doorway a young man known as "The Hidden" stepped into the establishment carrying a small grocery bag under his arm. His long yellow and gray robe dragging along the ground behind him as he made his way to a booth that positioned him to where he could work in peace, but still remain within earshot of the other Lumen. He first placed the bag he was carrying on the table then sat himself down, crossing his legs under him on the bench.
A few other patrons in the bar who had been paying attention to the three hunters glanced at the blonde haired male as he reached inside the bag and pulled out various electronic devices. Among them were cell phones, mp3 players, various styles of headphones, and a small power supply unit. The young man pushed his shoulder-length blonde hair behind his ears as some of the patrons took a couple of careful steps away from his booth and took up residence at another space in the bar. They were muttering something along the lines of "Zuki's gonna end up blowing up the bar one of these days."
Hozukimaru's only response to their words was a cheshire grin plastered on his face. He wasn't quite concerned with the rest of the bar attendees. He knew full well what he was doing as he stripped the wires from the headphones and began dismantling the phones and mp3 players. Blowing up the bar was only a worst-case-scenario right now. There were plenty of other things that could happen, depending on where he made a mistake in the tinkering process. He could set off an electromagnetic pulse if he didn't monitor the amount of electricity the power supply unit sent through the wires, or even blow out several peoples eardrums if he hooked up the speakers from the headphones wrong. So many possibilities.
Zuki paused in his work to pull his arms into his sleeves, then shrugged off the top portion of his robe. Underneath, his right arm was covered with a solid iron gauntlet that stretched from his wrist up to his shoulder, with a gap extending from the end of the gauntlet to the sleeveless skin tight shirt that he was wearing. Hozukimaru had two different symbols on his shoulders. On his right, the symbol of the Guardian's of Horus, which was his old affiliation. On his left, the mark of the Lumen. However, he was sitting close enough to the wall that the latter was mostly hidden from view.
Hozukimaru took a deep breath and stretched before once again diving into his grocery bag to rifle through several other devices that he had brought with him.

"None of your business," was all Arete said before going back to reading. She ignored Katherine's statement about them hugging it out and just kept quiet then, figuring it was best to ignore him and not let him agitate her any further. Her gaze shifted to Zuki for a moment as he came in and sat down before looking at her book. She should get an MP3 player or something too. That way it would make ignoring Virgil easier.
"600,000 it is then." He had no issues with the money, as he was used to run with high numbers. Then Katherine's remark on the Saint Slayer and him would hit a spot. "my my, I always looked up to be your rival... but I didn't knew you wanted me out of business that badly." Sighing as the "elitist" became mrs." I talk to no one especially you." once more. Grindley's attention drifted back on Katherine, catching a small glimpse of the hidden who was messing with... some electronic stuff ( he doesn't use technology, always manages cash.) "That boy and his timebombs again..." Back with Katherine however, he smirked. "Really now? I didn't copy your bet maiden. I simply bet on higher numbers. I'm not just gonna go with the obvious 0 clients 0 jobs here. C'mon I'll humor you this time. If we both lose. I'll join you on the drinking date. Alcohol and everything, 'Till one of us can't even walk if that's how you want it." While usually cautious he knew he had nothing to lose. Except money but no one would be stupid enough to steal it from him without getting hunt by Grindley. Still he would be cautious. It wasn't every day that Grindley had a chance to interact with other members of the hunter's clan. And well Katherine was pretty much his only friend/mentor.
"Oh come now, you can come up with a better deal than that..."
Katherine chuckled "you cant lie or try and trick me...you still had the option of not going with one client two cases, which yours has, could have went with any amount except two per one which 3 for 2 is the same" she smirked "the other youngling is here she muttered taking a drink as when she aid it the next hunter would arrive within a few seconds soon to do his own business, "and alright if you guys aren't having a problem then im good, I just rather not have an argument in my drunken stupor" she stated "oh don't be backing out on that offer there I do need a drinking buddy since no one here drinks but the original patrons" she stated finishing her beverage

-Illusion Display- inherited from her family clan she has the ability to create illusions, including being able to create a false body to everyone around her, IE her human form. she tends to use this for her bounties and her limits are only the fact of her size. she can not turn into something bigger than her but she can do smaller. the illusion is so powerful that the illusion is manifested into a solid state as if shaoeshifting, but is based off the mind(thus illusions) -Weapon Creation- She has the ability to create weapons but due to the lack of practice she can only create one weapon which is her long body length blade, she tends to keep it out but she can make another when the other breaks, besides this she can't create much. -Fox Flare Blade- she can consume her body length blade in a black and blue fire that she can manifest, rather than just creating flames and firing them, she tends to keep them attached to the blade, the blade when makes contact with an enemy burns them yet can not burn her. she can control how much flame is on the blade making it big or small. -Soul Ammo/Reload- In her gun she doesn't use real lead bullets rather she uses consentrated soul particles for her gun, its just as effective as normal bullets except that it can pierce any shields created by magic or soul energy, yet against normal shields it gets stopped. she has a total of 8 shots with each time she uses this gun, and it takes her a bit to reload(a full post of not shooting) to fully get it loaded again. -Fox Shot- much like her sword she can add her fire to her bullets, and much like the sword can be controlled of how strong the flames will be. the bullets are much like the typical bullets she uses except that they add fire damage to every hit, and if she puts enough fire in a bullet, they can catch completely on fire. -Smoke Field- one of the main reasons she smokes is that she can control abit of the smoke that comes out of the cigarette and by this she can expand it so much that the entire area around her fills up with thick smoke arena which can be impossible to see through, the only way to find ones way around is if they can smell or hear better than most or can see souls, which even then finding their way in navigation is almost impossible. -Grace of the Tree- she has the ability to heal her wounds, of course she can't heal wounds such as lost limbs or injuries that would kill in seconds, but she can heal fast, if she heals a mortal wound she will remain injured in such a way that it leaves a scar unlike her other wounds, and the wound will still feel pain. she gains an aura of a white glow when it is activated. -Mark of Lumen- each member has this ability, its shown from the symbol placed on their body, her's is placed the back of her hip hidden from most eyes. this mark allows the Lumen to locate each other as well as talk to each other telepathically, of course for any of these effects to work they must be within a 100 feet of each other.
Katherine would bring "The hidden" into the topic. Grindley would once again turn his eyes towards the boy who was scavenging the various artifacts grounded within his bag. "It seem's he's here. Wonder if his focus is." While the comment could be heard as rude, he was genuinelly concerned about the hidden. 1 random explosion every now and then was okay. 2 + was considered a risk.
"Dear Maiden, have any of is backed out on our word before?" Grindley snickered, finding amusing the mere mention of this. They had their pride as hunters so as soon as their word is on the line the bet, code, hunt is as good as fulfilled. He would extend his hand towards Katherine. " 'til one of us can't even walk." Grindley said, as he decided to humor the maiden, just a little.

Hozukimaru stopped searching in his grocery bag and slumped down in his booth, visibly deflated. "Aw man! I didn't bring the right parts," he whined quietly to himself. He threw a glance over his shoulder at the table that his fellow hunters were seated at, particularly letting his eyes land on Grindley. "I assure you, my focus is right here with me." The way he said it would be the vocal equivalent of waving off Anemone's comment. Zuki knew full well the concern that a lot of the bar patrons shared when it came to his inventions.
He began returning the bits and pieces of the electronics he had brought to the grocery bag. "Oh well... I guess I'll just finish it later" Whenever his table was clear, he turned around and flashed a smile towards Grindley, but he made sure to glance at Katherine and Arete as he turned. "If you're making a bet with her," he began, nodding towards the Maiden, "Then you really must not value your cash." Zuki's expression was of faux innocence, and his eyes were brimming with the playful energy that was characteristic of the "Hidden."
His head cocked to the side and his eyes wandered towards Arete's book. He couldn't make out the title, but she seemed quite intent on reading rather than participating in the bet that Grindley and Katherine had set up. "Whatcha readin'?" He asked, his attention seemingly on the Saint Slayer, but in truth he was aware of all three of them, splitting his focus equally between the Lumen.

Arete ignored Virgil and continued reading as they spoke, she glanced at Zuki as he finally talked to them "Well, since you clearly weren't listening, I am not betting so you really are giving your advice to the wrong person," she replied with a blank expression before her gaze went to the book again"And... once again I have to repeat myself. What I am reading is none of your business."
"Oh come now, you can come up with a better deal than that..."
Katherine smriked "See....even he knows my luck with betting" she stated looking at Virgil "and believe me even if none of you current folk backed out...plenty of hunters have...in other groups and even in this little slice of heaven we call ourselves" she stated before the bartender would throw something at her to which would hit her in the head "ow...." she muttered rubbing where it hit "oy sober up you have someone in the back wanting to talk to someone whom can assign some hunters""fine fine" she muttered before pulling her gun out and spinning it around so that the blunt end would be facing down, only to hit the back of her hand with it causing a small bruise to appear but it would shortly disappear along with her drunken stupor "sigh...i'll miss you hangover" she muttered before standing up "try not to destroy everything with the tension alright?" she stated which at this point it was clear she wasn't drunk anymore thanks to her quick healing which always took away her drunken stupor when it healed any wound. she would then proceed to walk to the bar jumping over it and opening a door to enter a room which would hold a customer (semi exit) feel free to keep posting without me as i make said bounties for our characters)

Back into business, while ignoring he had accidentally made a reference to a royal figure. Grindley would look at Katherine who talked about her luck with betting.
"All the more reason to challenge it, I've got nothing to lose yet everything to claim should I win this bet."
Money wasn't exactly a problem for him but the fame he could earn through this bet was worth than all the betting budget he had gathered so far. The time arrived, and the first half of the bet was on it's way. He would turn his attention towards the hidden. "What are you doing this time?" He asked, puzzled, not actually sure he would understand, yet he was still curious.

Hozukimaru pouted. "Jeez... She's always so cold," he muttered, though it was loud enough for all to hear if they were listening. He did perk back up with an amused grin when Grindley also commented on Arete's adamant choice to keep the title of her book a secret. Zuki watched as Katherine broke herself from her drunken stupor by bruising her hand with the butt of her gun. Soon after, the bruise had disappeared along with the intoxicated state that was so common to see with her. Whenever she had gone behind the bar, his trademark grin grew on his face.
Looking back at Anemone and Saint Slayer, he brought his thumb up to his teeth and bit down hard on the skin, drawing blood in response to Grindley's question. He watched as the viscous liquid ran down the side of his thumb for a moment. It was almost as if Hozukimaru was hypnotized by the color. However, not long after, the blood rose into the air and began forming a circle and a semi-circle in the air. They weren't very big, as that would have attracted too much attention, and the complete circle was attached to Zuki's thumb by a thin trail from the self-inflicted wound.
"Well, right now I'm trying to make a self sustaining circuit. One that only needs to be attached to something every now and a gain just to give it a fresh current. I'm missing the parts I need to make it, but basically it'll work like this," Zuki began, obviously excited about his current project. He lifted a finger to point at the complete circle of blood that was currently floating in front of him. "The current is going to run continuous on this track whenever I have it turned off, right. Then, whenever it's turned on, this alternate track is going to be pushed down and connect to the first one," his finger moved to point to the semi-circle, then it moved in to touch the full circle, blending into each other and forming a figure eight. "This other track is going to run power throughout the rest of the device, making it pretty much portable and able to be used for weeks, even months at a time depending on the size and power of the current."
Hozukimaru bent his thumb and the blood floating in the air retracted back into the open wound, then immediately clotted, stopping any other bleeding from that area. "I was planning on making a compact screen using that circuit. Like, it would turn on and unfold itself into a good size screen, with speakers and a microphone attached to it, so that you could contact someone whenever you're out in the middle of nowhere for a long time." At this point, the excitement had drained from his voice. It was clear that the full design wasn't what he wanted to finish, but the circuit that would run it. If he could finish it, then from there he had a wide range of devices that he could modify to run on their own. His idea was like a floodgate for him, holding back a great deal of opportunities until he finished it.
Zuki's eyes narrowed slightly. However, it wasn't enough to be perceived without being nose-to-nose with him. "Why do you ask?"

Arete only grunted in reply to both Zuki and Virgil before she continued reading. Hopefully they would get some good missions soon. Part of Arete really wanted to blow off steam and was looking forward to a good fight.

Katherine would come out of the door, holding two folders in her hands "flipping lieing...everytime" she sighed "good thing i got them to do some research" she muttered to herself before she jumped back over the bar and to the trio " alright...i have three things up to speak for today...One...we have Two cases...second thing is i find one of them fishy but alas a deals a deal..." she explained "and three...I won my end of the bet..." she stated looking at Vergil "and before you say the bets not over, i made the bet on the next one, not entire month like you...so dont worry...you still have a chance to win your money back" she stated smirking before placing one of the folders on the table "Bounty 1 We have a Demon whom is seen as a queen i guess, she has a knight...whom is possibly under her control, but is not to be messed with without being prepared...our job for this one is to go to her castle...and well kill her, leaving the servants unharmed...the knight...I don't know if she is a target or not, thats up to you...the bounty is 100,000...meaning 50,000 each...there is details about the two in the folder, feel free to check it out..." she stated before putting the next one down "Bounty 2 is the one im suspisious about the motives...we are to sneak into a church...and kill a child...its assumed she is a vampire and that she is using her powers...despite being a child...to manipulate people to keep her safe...the job is to make it look like an accident... or natural causes...if neither of those requirements are met...payment will not be given...now i got some research on the girl and the client, evidently they both are in line to get a position in some royal thing... so take what you will and get it done...the price is 60,000 about 30,000 each...she also has a personal body guard...with an augmentation, its unclear if she is associated with the order or she just got it from them...but she does have one" she said before looking at Arete "and since its a stealth mission i would recommend if you take it...don't kill the guard...distraction at most...but no killing her...it has to be in secret" she told them "So take your pick...or partners i'll go with whatever is left"

Arete closed her book as Katherine walked in with the Bounty assignments. She crossed her arms and listened quietly before speaking. She perked up as she mentioned that the guard in the second bounty had an augmentation but then frowned as Katherine told her not to kill her, obviously annoyed with that part. "Well obviously, I don't want the second one then. Stealth isn't my thing and I'm not really feeling up for killing a kid. Especially if you think it sounds sketchy... And if I don't even get to kill someone that most likely is associated with the Machinists, then I am 100% out... So I will take the first bounty." Arete glanced over at the other two for a moment before looking at Katherine "And I would prefer to be partnered with you on the mission."
Virgil stood up. and picked science boy with his healthy arm. "We'll seems like it's you and me." He would look upon Arete for a moment, then back to Katherine. "She's right, remember that she needs babysit 24/7. Just be careful she doesn't start calling you mom. Anyways. You can give science boy the folder and we'll look it up."
Hozukimaru turned his head to listen to the Maiden as she detailed the two available jobs that had been assigned to them. One was to assassinate a demonic queen, and the other was to take out a young vampire... Or, a possible vampire, but either way it had to seem inconspicuous. Either a natural death or an accident. Katherine had said that she was suspicious about the motives for the first job, but Zuki's opinion was different. "The job's sound simple enough. Though, the first one sounds like a political stunt to spark a war between demons and the rest of the world," he stated, keeping his voice quiet so that he didn't interrupt Arete or Grindley as the two chose which assignment they would take. "Sounds like fun."
He looked at the Anemone briefly and cocked his head to the side. "I suppose if we're undergoing an operation that requires stealth, our skills would work best together in the long run. But your little habit could cost us the mission," Zuki quipped, dropping his chin onto his hand, using his elbow to keep himself propped up. "If you leave one of your flowers behind, please make sure it isn't obvious." The Hidden looked towards Katherine then, his eyes casting aside his usually playful demeanor, instead filling with a bottomless darkness swirling with insatiable blood lust. In the next moment, he livened up again. The spider-like boy wasn't too thrilled about having the one target to kill, but he would cooperate regardless. "Did they say when they wanted it done by? Or did they leave it with an open deadline?"
