"Training? For what? *looks at Charli* and how the heck do YOU know about my grandparents too?? Of course their real!! Why wouldn't they be?" Torin was very confused... sure his grandparents had been social... but how did they know all these strange people.... and err things?

i TOLD you, Papa used to tell me all sorts of stories, most of which stared an Alice and a Kyo... 'course, the ones he talked about were still kids... but that was when HE was just a kid, if it's all true at least. i didn't think they were real because they just seemed too perfect for the stories, you know? but if they are real.... oookay ::she nods firmly:: alright, we have to go to my house... when we're there we can get everything cleared up... and besides, it's almost teatime! ::she scoops up the blue hedgehog and starts walking briskly, as though expecting the others to keep up::

Torin blinks and watches her walk off while wondering whether to follow or not. As far as he was concerned they were all crazy and he was suffering from mass delusions! Finally he shrugged "Why not... might as well humor the insanity" He had nothing better to do after all... and followed after the others (taking the stairs this time)

He sits down in the car (a bit stiffly though), feeling the closing of the door sounded more like prison doors shutting than simple car ones. "Sooo... do you think your Papa can clear all this up?"

::she nods firmly, her foot tapping lightly on the floor of the car:: of course he can! there's practically nothing that Papa can't explain.... though sometimes what he explains doesn't make sense ::she made a slightly disgusted expression:: but then you just have to kind of read between the lines on those situations. but i'm pretty sure he'll be able to explain all this, and he'll be absolutely delighted to meet you!

He raised an eyebrow "I doubt that..." Few people were delighted to meet him, his parents included. In fact the last people (before Charli) that seemed genuinely pleased to be in his company had BEEN his grandparents. Kyo loved teaching him how to bake (even with his fathers constant nagging to teach Torin archery instead) and Alice just seemed to love hugging him (probably because he let her), and taking him to the zoo. He got his love of animals from her... she hated taking the life of anything, even a bug. He smiled to himself as he thought of his grandparents... he missed them.. alot.

:;she glances at him, confused:: why wouldn't he? you're polite, considerate, kind, and not only know Alice and Kyo but are related to them! not to meantion you're freash bloo... uh, i mean, you're a fresh audience. you haven't heard all of his stories. he loves telling them, i've heard them so often that i have all of them memorized!

He looked thoughtful "I'd like to hear about them when they were younger. They didn't talk much about their youth... saying it brought up too many bad memories for great aunt Mayura. I never understood why... but my mother and father insist on having good manners so thats kinda been instilled in me. *shrugs* So it's not something to be all happy over..."

well.... from what Papa told me, when they were younger, Mayura and Alice didn't exactly have the most open of relationships... not to meantion they both loved Kyo... Alice said something she shouldn't have and... well... that's where the stories get fantastic...

"Oh... I never saw Great aunt Mayura much. She and grandma seemed to get along ok. I guess there was tension I just never noticed. She scared me though.... one time she had grabbed my hand and told me I was special because of who I was. Still don't understand what she ment... guess it was because of my grandparents. What happened to make the story so fantastic? They fight over him or something?" He couldn't imagine his smiling softspoken grandmother fighting anyone.

umm... weeeell... from what Papa told me, Alice had always been very quiet and never really competed with her sister... and then she fell in love with her sister's best friend, Kyo. Mayura was in love with Kyo too but didn't know that Alice liked him... one night, Alice finally snapped and told Mayura "i hate you, i wish you would disappear!" and... she did... Mayura was taken into the darkness where she sought out Kyo... it was then that she found out that Alice had convinced him to date Mayura... she sank back into the darkness where she was seduced into fighting her sister's light with shadows and dark words.... Darva, the one who had seduced her from the light, convinced her that she would be able to have Kyo if she destroyed her sister.... Alice and Kyo were the only two that could save her... 'course, Alice was too shy to tell Kyo that she loved him, and Kyo, at that time, didn't really know what love was.... when they thought that they had finally saved her, Kyo, realizing he didn't love her, broke up with Mayura, and Alice had gotten up the courage to tell him how she felt... but Mayura had other plans. she hadn't really left Darva's embrace yet, and so she placed a curse on Kyo where if Alice told him how she felt, it would kill him.... and shortly after Alice learned this, Kyo confessed HIS love to HER... it wasn't until they nearly perished to save Mayura that she realized how much they truely cared for her... and it wasn't until she watched Alice stand by Kyo's side no matter what, suffering for having to try to convince him she didn't care for him the same way he cared for her... when Mayura saw that, she realized she could never love Kyo as much as Alice did... they saved her and banished the darkness, the curse was lifted from Kyo and Alice was finally able to tell Kyo how she felt... ::while she spoke, she stared out the window as though seeing the story play out before her eyes, her tone had taken on a soft edge as though she was speaking from experience, as though she had been there. never once did her foot stop tapping::

He sat there stunned. "Oh... no wonder they didn't talk about it.." He was in shock... his grandparents did what? And what was a Darva.... and oh now his head hurt. He couldn't believe that... magic and that kinda stuff didn't exist! It wasn't practical... and his parents liked things practical!
