This time there was a faint hint of a smirk. "But..you did just tell me " he said quietly and again the smile faded away as it turned into a worried look as she reached out to him. Automatically he leaned forward slightly and hit her hand with his head like a cat, lightly brushing the living metal on the side of her hand before blinking and pulling back embaressed. That is not what normal people do...but that is what he would have done with Mara or Tri in private. "....Sorry. " he took a breath.
"you could stop me...but at the same time you never did ask me why I looked. " he reached out now to lift the arm of the hoodie close to her face but didn't dry her eyes, looking unsure. "Remember I did say I was the stupid young brother ... and you at least never gave me a reason to wonder about you. Which in a way is ironic....but you are direct"

Her cheeks had a flush of color as her eyes averted suddenly for a moment. "...i guess i did..." she admitted in a mutter then felt his head and blinked at him before a genuine smile crept across her lips. Odd, but somehow welcome. She shook her head, still smiling. "..it's okay.."
She watched him pull the sleeve of the hoodie up to her face and reached a hand for it, pushing it further to her face to wipe her tears. "....I guess I was afraid of the answer..." she confessed, biting her lip a bit before swallowing hard again and taking another deep breath. It was getting easier to breathe.. or was it getting harder? It was so hard to tell between the pain of her throat and the tears that seemed almost endless until now. "I suppose you're right... " her hand was shaking a bit as she hesitated. Keeping her hand on the sleeve pressed against the side of her face, she paused, her eyes sliding away to try to muster the strength to even ask even despite her reluctance to hear an answer. "...why.. did you come back for me...."

"....Because of what we talked about in the house. That was mostly you wasn't it? Not Hexxis holding you back " he said asked quietly, pulling his hands in against his stomach now. He didn't believe it was Hexxis, especially not when she controlled herself when Tri appeared, barely. "You held on to your control...and I asked if you wanted to be siblings....friends. I guess I actually consider you a better one than Hexxis. "He said looking faintly confused. "You split now but ....I don't know if you wanted to continue that. That is what I came to ask really. Even if it was stupid...or against my own family's heh advise "

She kept her eyes averted, fixated elsewhere to avoid looking at him as he answered. She nodded slowly, "...yeah.. that was mostly me.. back then, we could still contest each other, but I was holding my own from hurting others then... not to say I can really keep myself all that much in check.. I have my moments... but I'm trying." she answered calmly, her voice a bit fragile, a little raspy, but it was definite. As he continued, she turned to look at him, analyzing his face and his words. "...you really are the stupid younger brother..." she forced a breathy chuckle as it seemed to amuse her that he had returned for such a reason. She wanted to ask a question but maybe it was a bit too much at this moment to delve that deep into his reasoning. She'd already asked a fairly tough question already, and she didn't feel she was ready to hear the answer to another one. Sighing, she smiled at him. "...I still want to be your sister..." she answered, a certain glimmer of happiness mixed in with the pain in her eyes as she smiled at him. "..we can be our own family..... right, brother?" she chuckled again, almost like she would really laugh hard if it weren't for the pain. "..I'm glad you came back... even if it's kinda embarrassing to admit that.."

There was a flicker of pain as she mentioned being their own family then the brother comment followed by the realization that there was no way he could combine Ashral and Tri in the same place much less the same room. He wasn't even su- Mara hahaha no.
This was with the assumption they would only be pissed off at him after he sent Hexxis for a hike after someone who was pretty much unfindable instead of like someone like Zephyr. Even if it had been tempting he doubted the Merc deserved getting stabbed by Hexxis....Haven though...
He also didn't pull what Hexxis did, he still had his phone, if they wanted to call her would answer. Actually..maybe he would pass by the hotel room instead of heading to the nearest city. Contact Anadii if it was still there.........
What am I doing?
Looking up at Ashral he watched the flicker of happiness within the pain in her eyes. He was giving her hope...and at the same time he felt himself torn. "Embarrassing? " he asked with a flicker of confusion as he focused on the word."Why?"

Ashral seemed taken back by the question, not expecting it. "..uhm.." she muttered quietly, trying to think of what to say. Should she tell the truth? Well, she certainly couldn't lie. That would be no good. She her eyes darted to the door and then to Ree. "...don't you have to be going to look for something in Khares...." she mumbled softly, almost in defense. Yes, change the topic, that's probably best for now, or at least if he persisted, she had a little more time to think of a better answer. Or not. She sighed.

Of course he would push the question. Did she have a good answer? Well, not one that would be easy to say. The color in her face seemed to intensify slightly as she looked anywhere but directly at him. "....I don't know... I'm supposed to be the big sister or something, right?..... so shouldn't this be the other way around... with me taking care of you..." Great, another cover up. 'You're horrible at this... This is why you stayed... because you can't say what you think...' she thought to herself and sighed. "It's.. not that important really.." she added as that question she had wanted to ask surfaced in her mind again and she bit her lip a bit. Her eyebrows furrowed a bit as she reflexively slid her hand over to grab her other arm as she kept looking away. "I'll be fine... just.. hurry back, I guess... "

Ree blinked surpised because that was not the answer he had expected at all. "Big sister? Um...no..yes? It doesn't really matter..." He looked confused then very faintly amused. "Don't think to hard about it because if we do then you are older...and younger....and Hexxis is your mother" he made an odd face as he pointed to the left then to the right with his index finger and nearly laughed as he looked to see if she glanced again his way.
"As for the other commands.... I don't think you can fight it unless you really go deep in your subconcious ..or hypnotize yourself to react differently. But 7 years with Spectrum hybrid Haven... That is a long time and a lot of work. " he muttered softly, running his hand through his hair as he got up. "I won't say you have no danger from them, actually the opposite since many of them are common words used in daily life. However, they would not usually be used to address a weapon which they tried to make you and Hexxis....as they -made- you and Hexxis" he frowned looking at her sadly. "If you want I can try to teach you to avoid some of them..." Getting up as he pulled his wings back, wondering why he was offering...staying and knowing that will haunt him as he made his way to the city.

Ashral looked confused and concerned as he explained the odd lineage that they became if thought too hard on it. She was about to chuckle about it, finding the humor in it, but something caused her to paused.
'You could always be something more than a sister...'
She frowned and stayed silent, her eyes fixated elsewhere.
She listened to him talk of her commands, and a lot of it made sense. She didn't remember much of her time at Spectrum, but she had been there for 7 years buried deep within Hexxis. Even then, they were still able to brainwash her just as bad as her host. She sighed, this wasn't good having to fight against commands just like Hexxis did. She nodded slowly as he suggest help with trying to avoid them. That would at least help for now, she figured.
As he left, her eyes slid back over into the empty room before both her hands crept up to cover her face.
"Idiot... why can't I just say it.." she spoke aloud, to nothing at all.
"..because fear hurts... he won't say it, so why bother.."
She hesitated, "..but there's a chance he mi-.."
"Give it up.. I was too scared to tell Shogu, and now I'm too afraid to tell Ree..."
She slid her hands back down and frowned. Fishing out the note from her stocking, she unfolded it and stared at it, "What if-.."
"Don't... I can't handle that truth..."
"He wants to see me again."
"I am too weak."
"...I should try to ask Ree-.."
"It doesn't matter, I don't know him still. How can he love someone he doesn't know..."
Ashral closed her eyes and held the note close to her chest. "What if he does?"
"He did not come back for me... He only came back to make me his possession... I am his... Deal or not..."
"No...it isn't-.. that's not-..." she frowned even more.
"...it's true... and I'll never be able to tell him... I am as much a coward as tri.. unable to even tell him, and not able to fight myself off... what if I broke down right now... maybe that is a better solution..."
"..wait no... huh?... I don't like that..."
"..no one cares.."
" ....................... "
She lays silently on the couch as she couldn't move anymore, tears building up once more. Her mind was fractured. She was sure it had always been that way, but it was splintering and she could do nothing to stop it. She hoped to at least overcome what it was she was afraid of, but that was a fairly doubtful sight by now.

After a while Ree flew back quickly, not taking the time to do short dives and spins to relieve from of the pent up anger as he did when heading to the city. He had only stopped only when he saw a demon with the Teldhet uniform flying into the city a few thousand feet below him, then everything was grabbing things as fast as he could without alerting others.
This time the wind rushing past his face was the only distraction to his thoughts as he carefully held the grocery bag full of things he had managed to steal around the edges of the inhabited areas of the city. A dead city, there was actually so much potential here if anyone ever thought to do something with it. A possibility.
He got everything except the antiseptic which he had to go in and pay for while adding some cheap shirts to the mix as well. Then it was just heading back and the short trek with nothing to think about except what happened now and a few hours ago.
Was he moving on automatic? He felt like he was doing what he should do but at the same time blinding himself to the fact she was a Malice...she wasn't what he was looking for in a friend...but really she was. At least as far as he knew her which wasn't long...add in the danger of her losing control at any time and not being able to bring her to Tri or Mara without them wanting to lock her up. This was a complication he had not put much thought into, believing just like everyone else that Ashral was perfectly okay and likely deeply lost in anger. A quick confirmation and he would hopefully be gone. Not....not this.
He was sure of nothing now. Not of Tri, Mara and Hexxis's reaction when Hexxis awoke nor of Ashral's ability to stay sane and on top of that he should find a time to try and contact Anadii. It wasn't as he didn't trust Tri or Mara to watch it but that it would be a lot worse if they were found with it in their possession, especially if Teldhet kept going south.
Angling he clenched his teeth automatically and took a fortifying breath as he felt the Aura again, not as far if anything just above the house and dove. Stay with her, clean up her wounds, talk to her, talk to Tri tomorrow then see what happens.
Back winging into a landing he made his way to the door and knocked in a silly rhythm before opening the door and looking around quietly. "Back.." He called out, not to frighten her.

Ashral opened her eyes and stared off into the empty house for a few minutes before spotting a ragged dusty stuffed animal across the room near the hallway that led to the bedrooms of the house.
"I should look around."
"Why? This place is abandoned. Nothing here."
"Am I sure? Or is it fear for what I'll find."
"There is nothing here."
"How do I know?"
"I've been here before."
"Have I?"
"Have I? I don't remember..."
She pushed herself to a sitting position, a gasp of pained air as she steadied herself and forced herself to stand. Slowly making her way towards the item she saw, she picked it up. A stuffed animal of a dog. It was odd, but comforting. Without thinking, she brought it up to a hug and continued waking down the hallway despite the immense pain. She could hear her name now. Something was calling her. What was it? Was it the bedroom? Who was that?
She opened the door where she heard the voice the loudest. She stepped inside and looked around, a single bed and everything was covered in dust. She ran her hand along the dirty dresser and picked up a smashed picture frame. A family lived here. She didn't recognize the people in the frame, but the house looked familiar. Or was that the house she was in? It was hard to tell.
She walked back out the room, toy clutches in one hand at her chest and the picture in her other hand at her side. No, the voice was further. The master bedroom? She stood at the door and stared at it. Had she really been here before? No, that wasn't possible. She didn't know this house. The door was already cracked, something burning her desires to go in. She pushed open the door and stared down at a filthy blood-stained rug on the floor. Someone had died here... No. Killed. She stood there, frozen, unable to move, unable to speak. There was a knock but she couldn't answer. Staring endlessly at the blood, tears building in her eyes as she dropped both items from her hands onto the floor and took a step back, stumbling slightly and running into the wall before falling down, her eyes still fixated on the sight as she began to tremble.
"...I've been here before..."

Ashral wasn't in sight, that he could tell the moment he walked in. Did she leave? That would be stupid right now even it it prickled at her pride, she should rest a while longer.
Placing the bag on a clean surface of the couch he looked around fighting the need to go look outside first of all since the aura was still here..she was still here. She might have gone looking for the bathroom, at least she wasn't under the couch again. Looking around he headed toward the rooms relieved to be moving away from the smell of blood until he heard a dull blunt up ahead.
"Ashral?" He called out, wings lifting as he prepared to fight. Moving into sight he paused as he spotted her on the ground and pushed himself to the wall she was against before looking inside the room and seeing nothing?
He stared a few moments before pushing off the wall and looking at Ashral. "What happened?" He said alert, having assumed that what had attacked her the first time, collector?, was back again.

Ashral just stared down at the floor within the room from the hallway as she inhaled shakily and a slight whimper emerged, looking like she'd seen a ghost. "..I... what... I don't want to go in there.... I don't want to see them..." she tucked her head down and began to curl up and slid her hands over her head, over her ears. "I don't want to hear them!!" she exclaimed as she was trying her best to grasp onto some kind of reality as she started to cry. "Be quiet!! Stop talking!!" she shouted, her voice breaking and becoming frail. "I wasn't here! I... I didn't do anything!!" her voice was muffled by her position on the floor as she closed her eyes tight. Wait, someone was there. "...no, I .... I didn't do anything, okay?" she whispered, losing grip to quickly too understand that there was actually someone next to her.

Ree frowned and watched Ash then looked toward the bedroom door and uses telekinesis to slam the door closed. Staying away he watched her silently, analyzing her reaction before finally crouching where he is. "Ashral......Ash. " he said said quietly. "......" he started to hum softly the song she taught him back at that house and watched her waiting to see how she reacts.
