"Hard to power through when you've got people around who don't leave you alone." Aodh was frowning about that but Jaro was ultimately right. "I really started sketching recently because I had to ... start working the muscles more." Especially with the injury, the way that he had been sliced up. The blonde had to strengthen it, make sure that it would be alright.

Except that it was likely he would always feel some kind of residual pull and weakness when the weather was acting up.

Any comments about wet dog smells was left alone, mostly because he was pink at the wink and the sketches. "What else would I capture? Always the good side, Jaro." A good cover-up for the fact that he felt ridiculous for having sketched the other (more than once if he went to another page).

a night out

"I guess that depends on if you like it, hmm?" Jaro smiled that bright smile of his, and upon getting to the club door were visually appraised by a chubby man on a stool with a finely trimmed beard, and nodded inside. He took Aodh's hand when they entered because there were small milling crowds and he didn't want to lose him.

It was several degrees warmer and music filled the air. When their eyes adjusted it didn't seem nearly as dim as you'd expect. Tables crowded half the room, people sitting and eating and drinking, and the other half of the room was a stage and dance floor playing all manner of more eclectic music. Sometimes things turned into tangos, sometimes flamenco and more often than not just a bunch of very energetic and attractive people shaking their bodies.

Jaro gave Aodh another grin as the sidled up to an empty corner table, a look that said 'I'm gonna get you dancing'.

"You failed," Aodh countered, "for thinking that I didn't mean that every side is a good side." Then he was holding out his hand for his sketchbook because he was feeling silly and they should probably get back to doing real work.

Even if he really liked that smile on Jaro's face.

Jaro handed back the sketchbook and very maturely stuck his tongue out at the other man.

"Really though- you should work on them." He was turning back to his own work since that seemed where this was going, "Remember red is my favorite color. And green brings out my eyes." Wink again.

a night out

"I can wine and dine." Jaro grinned and laughed a bit, "What do you want to drink?"

A slim dark skinned waiter dropped slips of paper on their table with the night's food offerings. It seemed to a mix of spanish and island fare, with a healthy amount of pork and fried things (to soak up the alcohol).

"Or should I order for us?"

Aodh's response was to just stick his tongue back out as well.

Then promptly turn red at what was said (and that wink) with a blink and a huff. "I'm well aware of those things," he replied.

Which lead to him very pointedly going to focus on his work again. Just because otherwise he would have to- Who knew but if Jaro ended up with a new sketch for him at the end of the day that was left specifically for him?

Not surprising.
