Ontelligent [.Volatile.] My thing is, if a woman cannot stand up properly or speak an entire sentence, she cannot consent. There is nothing hot about a situation where you are being intimate with someone with th same current linguistic skills as an infant. I don't know what is attractive about that, or why, for instance, everyone is okay with him being spared jail time because of all these 'opportunities.'
Like, Listen bright eyes, if you thought your career mattered, you shouldn't have become a rapist. If you wanted to show everyone how consensual it was, you shouldn't have run, it shouldn't have been behind a dumpster, it shouldn't have been so rough that she was covered in bruises. That was not consensual if she doesn't know your name or can't tell people what you looked like. If she learned about what happened to her online, it wasn't consensual, it was rape.
People seem to get ******** up on the definition. Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration perpetrated against a person without that person's consent.
I DON'T CARE IF IT IS A p***s, A FINGER, A PENCIL, OR EVEN A SURGICAL SPECULUM. If you are not a medical professional with the proper paperwork you are legally restricted from putting ANYTHING in there without conscious consent or without their will. Even if the person begins the process and changes their mind, you don't finish. You stop. You leave the situation. If she was conscious, said yes, and then became unconscious, by law, and by human decency, you still stop, because she could be suffering from alcohol poisoning, could be seriously ill, or a number of other things. If you wouldn't do it to a person in a coma, you shouldn't do it to a black out drunk person. That person has no control over their body at that point.
I believe that rapists need much more severe sentences. A man can grow weed in his back yard for 2 years and get life, but a man takes a woman's pride and lets her be in the position to share the dirty truth with everyone who cares about her, and he gets 90 days.
90 Days is less than the time it takes for many people to get a psychological evaluation.
90 Days is less than the time it takes for many people to get a passport.
90 Days is not enough time to decide rape might not be such a good idea.
I hate to say it, but maybe his opinions of rape will change when he witnesses the other end of his atrocity in prison.
Your whole post and points are amazing. I just want to reiterate: Quote: ...rapists need much more severe sentences. I hate to say it, but maybe his opinions of rape will change when he witnesses the other end of his atrocity in prison. I don't condone rape in prison, but maybe you're right. Additionally, there's always a race and class issue here. You mentioned kids going away for pot - let's acknowledge that it's overwhelmingly brown kids who get major sentences for minor drug charges. If this kid had been black and poor, even mainstream media would be calling for his head. Heck, we might have seen his mugshot FIRST, without having to mount a campaign demanding it. Regardless of ANY details regarding either the perp or the victim - if it is rape, you deserve to go away for a long, long time. -🎒- Honestly, I am of the impression that this case shows us how far we haven't come with racism, privilege, and sexism. If he was anything but white, he'd go away longer; if he wasn't a man with a 'career at stake' he would have gone away longer; if he wasn't at stanford, it'd be different. The fact that he is an educated white man has a lot to do with the coverage of this. People are defending him simply because they don't want to have to see what's wrong with society. IMHO, you see this problem happening a lot. I am from the town where Dylan Roof shot up a church, but the coverage of that did not last a relatively long time. I also feel sexism comes into play here -- I don't like how many male judges preside alone over rape cases. i suppose you could say it would be skewed either way, but men are much less likely to hold other men accountable for having '20 minutes of fun.' which sickens me to my core. 36 votes said this ******** was guilty, but the judge felt his life shouldn't be ruined for ******** an unconscious girl behind a dumpster. Now the little ******** is fighting "the party mentality in schools." I'm sorry but I can get bellywashed on schnapps and i'm still not going to go rape someone. That is just as much a sober issue as it is a drunk one. If you are a drunk rapist, I guarantee you are a closeted sober rapist and that is that in my opinion. -🍣-

Absolutely. It sends the message that a man's career is more important than a woman's bodily autonomy. Links back to the days when women were property, and indicates how that mindset can still exist. It's the reason we saw his swim picture first, and not his mugshot.
You hit the nail on the head with all of this.
Rape culture is not punishing rapists and then wondering why more victims don't come forward.

Yes, rape culture exists. Blaming the victim for the crime against them, and merely slapping the wrists of the rapists. "You were drunk, or were wearing something even slightly revealing? This is your fault. He couldn't control himself!" I've heard of women trying to report rape who have been laughed at at the station. Worse for men who have tried to report their rape.
I'm glad his career is over, but he deserves so much worse. I hope that he cannot hold a decent job because of this until he pays his proper dues. Not that his daddy won't come to his aid, though we could hope with his comments and stance that he loses all respect he may once have had, and will no longer be a rich daddy.
The judge? He went to the same school and was also an athlete. He was protecting 'his own' in my opinion. For all we know, maybe he got some "action" that was without consent. Given the light sentence, I would not be surprised about it.
This whole thing boils my skin.

DefauIt Green_crayon42 I wonder what makes it ok in the rapist's mind. "I like you so I'm gonna hold you down and force you to have sex with me"......ummmm neutral im sure most are more like "shes not really saying no, she wants this too" or maybe "I love her so much, I deserve this, and after she'll see i love her" to me its different types of rape. the ones that go out 'hunting' for victims are usually murderers in the making. XD Fck those men! This is really disgusting to me.. and I just.. I can't okay. I saw this post at tumblr saying “Imagine if men were as disgusted with rape as they are with periods.” and it's true!! Like.. if they heard something about periods.. they would literally cringe and want to be out of the conversation.. but do you see men discussing rape and how bad it is and how vile it is? You can count them on your fingers because that's how few there are.

It doesn't have to be disgusting.. we can just show the truth.. why is it that when they're showing ads of pads and napkins they use blue liquid.. why not use red instead.. or maybe washed out red.. people would say.. but that'd look like it's blood.. what do they think come out there? augh just...

Because that's just how it is lol It fall in the same category as breast feeding in that some find it disturbing. But yeah.... I have to see naked people selling perfume, why not everything else lol. I still think gross undies might be effective. You could put pictures of old ladies and write 'would you do this to grandma' on them rofl Might slow some assaulters down if they had to think for a second.

All rapists/child molesters should be slowly, brutally tortured and killed. They are beyond redemption and should not even be allowed to live.
However with that said we need to have a clearer definition for what does and does not constitute, "rape" this is a serious accusation. Staring is not rape. People who say it is are part of the problem. Does anyone ever lie about rape? Yes I know this for a fact because my sister did. These people also make it harder for legitimate victims.
Obviously if you are not even conscious you cannot consent that is not up for debate. But if someone is still conscious and drunkenly says yes how do you expect the other person to determine how drunk it too drunk? Often it is a thing where some people are too quick to blame the nice guy for an innocent mistake. For all you know they could have both been drunk, things happen. But nope, lets only blame him.
Then you have "feminists" who are belligerent cunts screaming, yelling, saying men can't be raped. Taking donation money for themselves. Gee, I wonder why some good men get fed up and don't want to help. A lot of women are against women because what they do hurts victims, it does not help.
