Eyzaak as if to prove a point once he'd recovered from the bumbling and stumbling, the blueblood raised his nerf gun as he scooted forward trying to get in a good angle to shoot at Akko. Not that it worked exactly as intended.
As he did so, the boy was met with a well placed foot booting him away as he tried to get his shot off. While he did manage to squeeze the trigger, Eyzaak yelped as her foot connected. Damn. The older troll was a lot stronger than himself as much as he hated to admit it. She had one hell of a kick behind those legs! He'd have to try and keep that in mind for the future.
For now he was back where he'd started, tsk'ing in consideration about what had been spoken to the group of kids gathered. Teamwork eh..? Hm.
Poe listened to Eyzaak as he moved to remove the root he tripped on. "Hey thanks, looks like you got to the root of the problem, there, by removing that root!" Perfect joke, excellently landed. And also, he seemed to enjoy his last one, which meant they were definitely friends now and this kid has good taste. There seemed to be a lot more trolls now, and from what he could see, some of the older teens had shown up too. "Yeah! I'm not gonna fall next time. Watch, I'll show you some shear awesome moves!" Pun streak, ongoing.
Poe always wanted to be able to call out a really awesome attack move when he went into battle, but Byakko would probably hear him coming a mile away if he did. So instead, he called upon the fury of righteousness, and ran full force at the rebel leader, whacking her leg with the broad side of his shears before slipping away.
It was good, but he thought about the woolbeasts when Byakko called them disorganized. A shepherd couldn't run into the fields without a plan and expect them to be herded. There was a pattern he'd have to do to get them where he needed, some strategy. Byakko was stronger than any single child, but probably not if they worked together...
Ninfia wasn't one to usually be fashionably late to event but, tonight the young redblood was ecstatic and maybe also a little nervous. This was their first time officially meeting the rebel leader and they were determined to prove themself.
They busily dressed themselves in their best fighting clothes, not forgetting their homemade weapon. They decked themselves in various colorful beads and went to go hug Tieldad before heading off.
Arriving at the clearing Ninfia noticed there were already many children here. They excitedly waved to the others, squeaking out a small "Hi!", not wanting to mess up any of the children's focus. They hung back a bit though once they saw the rebel leader. She was so much more intimidating up close and the bird child was almost a little bit afraid to go try out their fighting moves on her. What if they messed up? In front of everyone too! Gosh that would be SO embarrassing!
All you lovely people
I'm supposed to be on a hiatus but, I just can't stay away from you guys! ;u; Feel free to interact with my babe and I'll hopefully be able to keep up! emotion_bigheart
After landing a successful hit, Akkira was feeling a bit cocky about her actual capabilities. She would definitely thank--- uhh, what was his name? Well the grubshield or whatever his name was made for a good cover, she'd have to let him know that she appreciated him saving her skin like that. But not right At the moment, she had other pressing matters. After Byakko had barked about them being disorganized, Akkira could feel the bubbles of Irritation in her chest. She barely liked hearing that from her lusus, hearing it from this older troll just felt demeaning in a way.
Akkira scoffed and moved away from her grub shield. She'd thank him after she'd had the chance to do either some damage or something to their dear leader. As she moved away, Akkira Couldn't help but pause. She couldn't.... hear anything but the voices mocking her, telling her how cowardly she was to hide behind a troll of higher status. Something something about well it doesn't matter in the end. She couldn't hear anything but the nagging voices chewing her out. Some voices were reassuring. There was so much going on that she had to cover her ears a moment and just crouch down. She wouldn't snap and show everyone that she couldn't handle a little noise. That would make her weak, right? She had to stay back and wait for the voices to stop. Why did these trolls have to be so annoying and in her face all the time?
While the first attack had encountered some problems, as Byakko aptly pointed out, Cerpin was still counting that one a success. With a new weapon in hand, he circled the perimeter of the battle arena while the others got a few blows in. It wasn't that the purpleblood was a ranged fighter, far from it, but he wanted to watch and see how she reacted during the fight. Since she couldn't see, her spacial awareness had to be coming from her hearing. So he needed to think of a new approach, a silent one to be exact.
Well that was basically impossible. But he'd do what he could. No one could accuse Cerpin Sugall of being a quitter.
"Tevini, make as much noise as you can." The purpleblood muttered to his partner as he climbed onto one of the nearby tables and got ready. Building up as much speed as he could, the boy jumped from the edge of the table and soared through the air, his weapon raised high to land an attack on the leader of the Rebellion from above. Had he been a bit older, a bit taller, he probably would've gotten more height to do better damage but for a kid, it wasn't bad.

Tevini slipped to the side of the crowd, lining up another shot. It was hard to aim with all of the other kids running in at the target, however, and she paused. The redblood wasn't sure if the older yellowblood hanging around was scoring them or something and she didn't want him to deduct points for friendly fire.
'Wait for it...' The girl told herself and moved backwards, looking for a new vantage point to shoot from.
Eyzaak's attention went back to the greenblood as he heard him pipe up about what he'd done. The boy actually stopped..staring at the older kid and covered a gloved hand over his mouth and snickered noisily. "HA! Does that mean I got to the bottom of the root of all evil?" He asked with another barely suppressed laughter fit with the other lead into yet another as the kid kept the jokes rolling. Clearly he was clever and knew what was up. "Aight! Go for it!" He smirked, watching as the other charge in. This time he didn't blunder it one bit just as he promised.
While he'd just fired off a shot, he went for another one using the charging greenblood as a diversion. His dart landed home, sticking on her arm to mark his shot as a hit. "Sweet~ That worked great!"
Glancing around him, he noticed the newest addition to the child brigaded lineup. What the heck were they doing? Eyzaak waved a hand at the redblood, Ninfia? He believed was their name. "Yo! They seemed a bit mousey and was not who he usually hung with, but at least they'd shown up! The scarf earned a tug on his own, and a thumbs up sent the trolls way. It was rad seeing some of the others who had not that long ago been grubs much like his own self. Beckoning the kid to join the group. "Don't just stand there! We all gotta get in on this if we wanna defeat her right?"
"BYAKKOOOOO!" Bracks charged onto the scene, laughing maniacally as he ran straight at Byakko with a heavy, fallen branch. He swung it in her direction, but it splintered into pieces as soon as it connected with her shoulder and he was shoved harshly away by the rebel leader's counterattack.
He landed hard on his bottom and harrumphed, tossing what was left of the dead branch aside. He stood up and grabbed the nearest troll he could find; shoving their small body towards Byakko so that the two crashed together. He used this as his opening. He delivered a few weak punches to the pinkblood's person and added a good kick to the shin in case she hadn't had enough. Byakko seemed to barely even register the blows. She kicked him backwards and he landed in a heap a little bit away from the violent crowd surrounding Byakko.
He grimaced and spat yellow blood from his mouth, his teeth having come down a little too hard onto his lip when he'd fallen. "This is so MUCKIN' cool!" He roared.

Ⅱ Autumn Vikare
Finding her breath, Autumn picked herself up off the ground. She lashed the flail, undeterred from her failure. The bamboo clattered noisily. Silencing her weapon, Autumn slipped around Byakko's opposite side. Distracted as the mutantblood was with her other attackers, she had given Autumn an opening. Autumn drew her arm back, prepared to swing...
Suddenly someone smashed into her from behind, knocking her towards Byakko. The bamboo flail only nicked the mutantblood's shins. “Hey! Watch it!” Autumn snapped over her shoulder. It had been a mistake to look away. As soon as she did, she felt Byakko's foot connect with her stomach.
Poe grinned at Eyzaak. It seemed like he was also doing a really good job! He wasn't sure about the other trolls in the clearing, aside from what Byakko said and what few things he ended up seeing, but as a whole... they were making progress. "Yes! That thing you said is definitely what you did," Poe said, bouncing slightly. He was pretty good at jokes too!
There was another new troll that the blueblood was talking to, and he recognized their cute voice when they said hi. Ninfia, the one with the big bird lusus! "Hey! Yeah Ninfia, you can do it, don't be afraid to ruffle Akko's feathers,"he shouted to them, waving with their free hand.
Oh yeah, didn't want to forget. He still had to take another charge at Akko. He was still feeling pumped up, and planned another attack, trying to flank the rebel leader from the side before she noticed him. With a deft move, he charged and made contact again with the flat side of his shears, earning him a grunt from Akko, before he moved back towards the other kids.

Had they been older, Byakko would have been barking at most of the rebels to focus, quit fooling around and stop using one another as living shields. Didn't they want victory juice? Raising Maneki (and living with Zeff) had done wonders for her tolerance towards the excitable tendency that came with youth.
Instead, she offered commentary on whatever she had picked up on, calling out them by name alphabetically. She was still Byakko.
"Akkira, focus on what is directly in front of you. The real battle is always the internal one." The redblood's shrieking assault had ceased altogether, and Byakko could only assume it had something to do with her ghostly abilities. "Besides, you're the only one with an advantage over me." She added, as light-heartedly as Akko could possibly muster.
"Autumn, impressive advances. Keep that line of thought up." While she was full aware of most of the children's locations at all times, Autumn dipped in and out of detection for strategic attacks. It wasn't just because of her wings, it was planned timing. Perfect.
"Bracks." Her voice gained a faint edge of discipline. Maneki would've picked up on it. "Please get yourself a weapon and come back." She'd have to check for splinters now. Ugh. "And never announce yourself to the enemy like that. You too, Akkira."
"Cerpin, thinking outside the box is a strength of yours and it's commendable. However, I'd advise against any tactic involving grabbing an opponent's weapon with your bare hands in the future."
"Eyzaak- good." The lack of commentary spoke volumes in contrast to the others. Byakko had expected more of a chaotic, maniac approach from him- akin to Bracks- but he had done a surprisingly good job containing himself while supporting the others. It seemed like he was on the right track...
"Ninfia, the blood of the phoenix burns within you!" She had heard the redblood chirp out a greeting, but nothing else. Unless her count was off somehow, Ninfia hadn't attempted an attack. Akko's voice rose. "Spread your wings!"
"And Poe- keep that attitude up and you'll be bleating all the competition." Akko had been holding onto that one, just for him. He had been performing well, and deserved what she considered a reward. She was so proud of herself. Enjoy how hilarious Byakko Mawiya is, children.
Last but not least- "Tevini!" There were two assailants raining down foam bullets. The redblood was most certainly one of them, and Byakko had a suspicion she was behind the bullets that stung a little harder than usual. "Wherever you are. Fine work." Foam suction cupped darts littered her body, a testament to both her and Eyzaak's efforts.
She felt no need to comment on her own charge, who received regular training. Once it seemed like they were done catching their breath, Byakko once again took position.
quoting b/c everyone got a mini-mention i didn't mean to do this many words goodness sorry
The little bird child smiled as they were welcomed into the group by the blueblood...Eyzaak wasn't it? They made their way over to join them and the greenblood with them who they were quite sure was Poeias. They waved excitedly at both of them and smiled upon seeing Eyzaak's scarf. "Oh my gosh scarf buddies!" they exclaimed, overjoyed to see another troll with such great fashion sense. They turned to Poe just in time for his pun. The redblood giggled loudly before adding, "Oh Poeias! Byakko can 'tiel with it for a moment!" they said brushing the issue aside. "I would really like to get a hit on her though!"
Ninfia turned their attention back to Byakko, her speech encouraging them to make their first move. They sighed, closing their eyes for a bit, gathering focus. The bird child readied their weapon, preparing to bonk the mutantblood on the head with their staff. They didn't realize just how close they were to Eyzaak though and as they began to move they bounded into the poor blueblood, knocking themselves off balance. Tumbling to the ground Ninfia blushed a bright red, their cheeks barely masking it. Not only had they failed but, they had knocked into their new friend as well! Oh gosh they hoped he wasn't mad! Getting back to their feet, the bird child brushed themselves off exclaiming several loud apologies to the blueblood. Oh man was this embarrassing!
Eyzaak was all about making new friends. It was the only thing really keeping him in line, he felt like he was right at home doing his own thing. Seeing everyone working for a common goal practically had him grinning from spongeclot to spongeclot. Between Maneki and Poe’s level headed attitude he felt like he was on his game and focused. Not that laughing from puns was focused, but he was having a blast just the same. “I’m going to have to pick your thinkpan later for other good puns man seriously.” He raised a brow as the animal ones began, and the others enthusiasm increased. If only he had more time to listen..there was a lot going on all around and they had a task to do.
To Ninfia he agreed immediately with. “Yeah! I can see that, nice choice.” Eyzaak had taken to horsing around due to his overconfidence, rather than really focusing by that point. If he’d been paying attention, he’d have moved aside, gladly. He didn’t exactly like being a tank, or getting knocked around but of the kids present he felt he was best suited for it he had to admit. Eyzaak would have to think about that later, his current choice of weapon while fun wasn’t as useful for close up fighting.
Straightening his hat, he shot the redblood a dirty look after the mishap. “YO. I almost missed too! Okay this goes for everyone. Watch where ya swing, got it? I ain’t gunna tell you twice Birdy, but ow…nice hit.” Growling, he otherwise didn’t try retaliating despite being annoyed to be on the receiving end of their staff. “Do it again..and I’ll return the favor.” Eyzaak gave his new friend a sharp look. At least with Akkira she had her eyes all weird and stuff. Plus she fumbled around anyway; this kid was just a space cadet.
While they’d still managed to hit their target, he wasn’t entirely amused. Huffing he rolled his eyes, relenting as they had after all apologized...repeatedly. Besides. How could he stay mad at a fellow scarf buddy? Eyzaak offered a smile finally, as if to prove it was fine.
Looking around the group of kids the blueblood pursed his lips, being knocked into a second time and watching others being used as a diversion gave him an idea. “HEY!” He yelled suddenly, in a loud abrupt manner. “Guys! Wanna pile on Akko all together? There are totally more of us than her right??” Eyzaak grinned then, a mischievous gleam in the child’s eyes as he pointed at the blind folded troll. His comments directed to anyone in ear shot that would pay him mind.
'Maybe if I-' Tevini crept to the side and readied her nerf gun once more. Keeping her eyes on Byakko, the red blood felt her nerves tingle. It was a completely safe environment, sure, but it was still scary to imagine one day she'd be pulling the trigger of a real weapon on someone. She hoped it wouldn't be anytime soon.
She also hoped- whoa!
Tripping on a root, Tevini's finger squeezed the trigger in panic and shot a very fast suction cup dart wildly off target- right at Keionx!
