Spongebob, huh? That certainly fit their traditional criteria of stupid cartoon to a T. He leaned forward just enough to grab the remote from the nearby coffee table, and pressed through the controls on his smart TV until he found netflix. A service he used for background noise and the occasional need to escape reality, like today.
"I could." He conceded that point as well. He could go on a date, sure. It was a very real possibility, and one that didn't sound too bad. "Except, I hate people." It was a distracted grumble, while he scrolled through netflix's offered programming for the requested Spongebob. "Apparently." He tacked on, as if it hadn't been the truth before all of this.

"Now you sound like me in middle school," she said in reference to "I hate everyone" being a catchphrase, "Let's get you some eyeliner an' everythin'." As though she wasn't still decked out in that kind of apparel.
She pulled her beer close and rested it on her bottom lip. "C'mon, not all people's that bad. What f'he's like actually loaded?" Dating a millionaire would certainly not be a bad thing.

"I'm not pretty enough already?" He deadpanned at her. Eyeliner. Bah.
"I guess." Well, not everyone was bad. He knew that. Still. On the whole… Somehow, he doubted that Connor had that sort of money; why decide to pass the time by working hospital security? At least that was the conclusion he came to once he went over the events that lead up to the giving of the phone number.
"Imagine that. Me, a trophy." That made him laugh, however briefly, as always. He did eventually find the show they were looking for, and promptly hit the play button.

"Who lives in a pineapple under the seaaa," Chel sang directly into Ripley's ear, the kind of singing that tickled your skin and made you laugh just because.
"You'd be a darlin' trophy fer anyone," she told him, "And I'll take him fer myself when you get bored." Assuming this mysterious fellow was bi; though Chel was one of those annoying people who said she could swing anyone around.
