"Ah yes... them." Zephyr smiled a little, not even looking up at Kylar as he spoke to him, "I'd prefer to do this standing, if you catch my drift." he chuckled as he pulled out a cigarette and brought it to his lips, soon procuring a lighter and lighting it. After a couple seconds, he offered a cig to the still-a-stranger, "I honestly wouldn't call them a companion, more so with what they can do.".

"I don't believe I do, catch your drift that is. However if you prefer to stand that's fine too." He responded and took the offered cigarette. The cigarette rolled between his fingers as he listened to Zephyr finish speaking. He responded simply, "Whatever you would call them I see that you both have lost one. Although not originally why I came to Belrad, I am now interested."

Handing over the lighter over as well, he took in a deep breath of the cigarette, "Makes me wonder why you were originally here, then.." Zephyr mused a little, moving to stretch a little but wincing as the pain from his fresh wound coursed through him. Frowning a bit, he put a hand over part of the wound, one part right along the original wound he had gotten from Oblivion. "I will never understand peoples fascination with the Malices, though, it' a load of bullshit when you live with one your entire life."

Kylar answered bluntly, "I was here for Hexxis, although I didn't know it at the time. I just knew whomever was Zero couldn't be human and had to seem them myself. I was surprised when I found out the girl who was causing an uproar was the robot from SIU." He grinned watching Zephyr for a reaction unsure of if he already knew that or even knew what SIU was. After a moment he responded to the second bit, "As for the Malices, assuming that's what yours is as well given the plural, I am interested in capturing them for my own purposes. They cause enough trouble with a host, unrestrained they need to be dealt with."

Zephyr just watched the other talk, keeping his expression the generally happy one with a slight smile, though it seemed a little odd with the cigarette between his lips. Taking in another breath and letting the smoke out of his nose, he tilted his head about the entire Malice thing. Sure, he had been with Oblivion for nearly his entire life, but he hadn't even thought he had come across one in 'the wild'. "Well, I don't think that Oblivion will be caught easily, that doucher pretty much left in such a rush without even so much a a goodbye kiss on the cheek...and after everything we've been through, nearly thirty year. That a*****e." he chuckled a bit, though there was a bit of a sadness there.
Almost thirty year he had Oblivion with him, and now he was gone. Not dead, more than likely, but just not there.

Kylar frowned for a moment responding, "So, you don't know anything about what happened to yours? Oblivion was it?" He rolled the cigarette in his fingers again raising it to his lips before suddenly adding, "What about Ashral? Do you know what happened to the Malice your partner had or where it has gone?" He raised the cigarette to his lips finally lighting it with a deep inhale. He watched Zephyr contemplating the kind of relationship he must have formed in order to maintain a malice for 30 years and still be fine, perhaps he was just as messed up as the Malice. He took another puff of the cigarette blowing the smoke upwards towards the ceiling before adding a final bit, "Any information you might have about them could be useful. I would even be willing to pay, if you know something useful. It was in your head, you must have been in its as well. Where would they have gone?"

He shrugged, putting a hand on his hips and thinking. "Honestly, no. He never really said anything that would hint to me as to what he wanted to do. Until recently, he seemed content just living inside of me, and as for hers, I have no idea." Zephyr let out a sigh, wishing he did have some sort of clue as to what Oblivion was doing - as he said he would be back soon, but how soon he didn't know.

Kylar took another inhale from the cigarette before putting it out. He looked to Zephyr and then to the doorway that Hexxis had left through. "Maybe Hexxis know more about Ashral than you do your Oblivion?" He questioned. A smirk took to his face as he wondered how far she had gotten. "I suppose there's only one way to find out." He bowed his head to Zephyr offering a farewell, "A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Kardos, but I must be off if I'm to catch your partner and question her." He straitened out and added, "Remember, feel free to call if you need anything." Kylar began heading for the doorway before fading from sight and doubling back to follow Zephyr strait to his target.

Arching a brow as he watched Kylar walk off, Zephyr shrugged, finished his cigarette, and just dropped the butt of the cig onto the floor before stepping on it. "She also walked off before actually getting out team ID's.." he muttered to himself before he walked off to the desk where all mercs went to get their ID's updated or renewed when need be, though thankfully during this time of day the line was short. Obtaining two copies of the team ID, he pocketed both of them and pulled out his phone to check the time. Yawning a little, covering it with hi hand as he did, he made his way up to the second floor of the building, still intent on getting his morning coffee, which he had been completely missing when they had taken the test.
Unluckily for him, the line was nearly fifteen minutes long due to it being a well-known chain and it being during a busy time slot. Rolling his eyes, Zephyr sighed and put his hands in his hoodie pockets as he waited in line, eventually ordering a large coffee with three shots of espresso and two shots of vanilla. Once he had obtained his drink, with a couple fellow mercs congratulating him on his team score, he took a quick sip of the coffee and let out a happy sigh. Closing his eyes, he stood there for a moment then snapped out of his slight daze, checking his phone and looking a little panicked. <********, I'm late.." he grumbled, soon walking to the roof o the building. Squinting in the sunlight, he made his way around the small doorway outcropping that lead to the roof, to the side where the shadows were strongest. As he had a coffee with him, he didn't want to risk dropping it if he fell. Stepping into the shadows, he vanished in a blink of an eye [Shadow Slip - All 7 to go to(location)]
