"I can offer you a bit of boxing lessons, if you'd like. I do kickboxing. The chief-- Jeremiah, that is-- could probably set you up with some s**t, too. I'll put you in touch." Autumn smiled, pulled out her phone, and texted over Jeremiah's number to Rosie, having received the woman's phone number. When the tell-tale 'ping!' went off, Autumn looked back up.
"So you've never been to Other Ashdown, then?"

"Thank you." She looked at the number and set the phone away. Kickboxing... Well, maybe. It was at least worth it to try something, wasn't it? She would need to check in with her doc and see what she thought. "Really... For everything. I'd like to learn kickboxing, but I need a little time to make the decision." Other Ashdown? Rosie frowned and shook her head, "No, never. Is that some kind of club?"

Was it a club? Oh christ, Autumn wished it was. Her life would be so much less complicated right now, and any horns and flowers would be part of that white girl hippy s**t fashion movement. Rather than, you know. Permanent fixtures to her appearance. She might not have all the friends she had now... but she wouldn't have any of the heartbreak, either.
"I wish," She said, tone earnest as she shot Rosie a sympathetic smile. "It's the parallel world to us, where magic comes from. S'how all of this started, really."

"A parallel world?" Rosie's brows scrunched up as she frowned at Autumn, "How does something like that happen? Do you go there? Or is it more like... it comes here?" Another world, where magic existed and well... No, where magic was coming from. Magic existed in this world. Looking into her tea cup, the baker sighed and shook her head, "Dios mios, you'd think we were on that one show with the aliens and... the... the... red head. What was it? X-files?"

"Sometimes you go, sometimes it finds you. Hard to say. I've had it hit me both ways," Autumn shrugged, a certain lack of caring despite the intensity of Other Ashdown. It was hard to get worked up when the other side was continually dropping new s**t on them. Changing. Just when she thought she had it down... weres. A dead teenager. The more thought she gave it, the more it terrified Autumn.
So she refused to let it scare her. Instead, at her life being the X-Files, Autumn balked in laughter.
"Only if I get to rock a pantsuit and squat in the mist and s**t!"

Autumn's laughter prompted her own, "Chica, we're in New England. We could hit a thrift store, find a pantsuit, and wait until a nice foggy morning. All your dreams can come true." Chuckling to herself, Rosie sipped on her tea. "I'm surprised I lived here so long and had... No idea."

"All of my dreams," Autumn whispered dramatically, staring up at Rosie with a serious expression. She could rock the Gillian Anderson look. Hell, she could be the next Gillian Anderson. That was gonna have to be a style adventure she played with.
"I thought it was maybe a new person thing, but some of the people I know here... have been here their whole lives, and just got involved." It was odd. So very, very odd.
"Still haven't figured out our link, all of us."
