Aurostibite made no move to discourage Brynhild from staring, and stood quite calmly as she did so. Beside him, Behellagh made a low sound in her throat, her wings fluttering, and he stroked her feathery head, feeling the soft down feathers that were nothing like the razor cut of her wings.
"There is indeed a battle," said Aurostibite, and he could feel her interest growing, anticipation in his veins, the satisfaction that he was gaining both her approval and her curiosity. "A very great war, in which we will be the victors in the end. You wouldn't start off like me; you would begin lower - there are ranks within the Negaverse, but with your strength and your mind, I have no doubt that you will rise quickly and easily. And once you reach Captain, you are able to summon a youma, just like I am."
He patted Behellagh's head again. Aurostibite gave a shake of his head, dark hair rippling.
"There is no price," he said, "Not except for one, and that is that when I give you the powers, it will hurt at first. The initial transition is...painful, but initial is all it is. After that, you will be renewed, and I will guide you through the steps to getting what you want."

Hel let out a huff, but at the same time, had expected she couldn't be a general right off the bat. While Aurostibite's words were a vote of confidence, she didn't need them to know she'd rise quickly as well. "Ja?" She murmured, eyes flicking to the creature on his arm again. That at captain? Her lips twisted briefly, skeptically, though at the mention of no price---except for pain. None, hm? She still couldn't quite believe that, but the promise of what was to come and be gained was quickly outweighing any potential cons. It would be a bridge to cross when she came to it--- if. "Alright." She replied, and squared herself, her hands falling at her side to rest loosely into fists. "I vant it."

"There are all different types of youma," said Aurostibite, noticing her gaze. "All different shapes and sizes and creatures. You'll be able to find one to bond with yourself, and it will be specific to you and you alone, just how there is no other like Behellagh."
The youma gave a little croon as Aurostibite lifted his hand away from her. He felt keenly the sense of anticipation once more, because Brynhild had agreed - and he knew by now how to do this. It came easily to him, where once he had been uncertain.
The tips of gloved fingers hovered above her torso.
"Brace yourself," he said, and then shoved through to the space where her starseed was in one quick, harsh movement. His fingers wrapped around the glowing gem, and then the Chaos was being pushed in, pulsing through her - just enough to corrupt, not to youmafy.
"Awaken."

She wasn't sure what to expect honestly---aside from a supposed pain. Maybe he'd knight her? A brow had quirked at the hand that was raised before her. Or maybe it'd be a motion like the pope did or something--- Oh. There was pain. There was also an edging disbelief at what she was seeing, which she almost wouldn't believe if she wasn't actually seeing it and experiencing it. His hand was in her chest, and his hand felt it was wrapped around, well, her being. Hel's fists clenched tightly, her nails digging into the skin, and her teeth grit, but she was proud, and determined. Despite the agonizing pain that stemmed from her chest and consumed her entire being, she didn't utter a sound, and stood her ground. No pain, no gain, after all. Quite literally. Her school uniform melted into black, which then extended to wrap around her body, leaving a new uniform in it's place. The pain started to ebb, to fade, and in place of the pain, she could already start to feel the power rush in. The lieutenant raised her hands, as if seeing them for the first time, un-clinching her fists and flexing her fingers.

He pushed the Chaos in, let it wrap itself around her starseed, Aurostibite's face twisted with concentration. It was important not to overdo it; if he put too much in, Brynhild would wind up a youma, and that was not what either of them wanted. She had too much potential for that.
He saw the black sweep over her, the uniform taking place, and when it finished, Aurostibite pulled his hand free and took a step back. Blue eyes swept over her new appearance, and he gave a satisfied nod, a breeze rifling the black curls of his hair once more.
"How do you feel?" he asked. "You'll need a name, as your identity now is secret; keep your civilian life as your civilian life and do your best not to let them cross. Don't reveal your civilian name to anyone unless you know you can trust them, and vice versa."
Aurostibite thought for a moment, sorting through the possibilities, and then said, "Harmotome, I believe, is what you'll be called now. Lieutenant Harmotome."

"Good." She replied, still looking over her hands with fascination, which then extended to examining the uniform she was now clothed in. "No---even better." Her hands brushed down the front of the uniform, and after she was satisfied, she looked back up to regard the general. The lieutenant gave a nod, to show she understood, and quirked a brow at the name. "Harmotome." She echoed, getting a feel for it, and then grinned. It sounded right. Felt right. It was her's. She gave another firm nod. "Vhat else should I know, hm?"

He knew she was pleased, and it in turn made him pleased, Aurostibite nodding his approval. Harmotome was a good name, and it fit her well, he thought. Not quite in the same vein as the ites, but like Bloodstone, slightly different.
"There is a lot I can teach you," said Aurostibite. "But I expect you'll be able to figure things out on your own well enough. In the meantime..."
He stretched out a gloved hand towards her.
"To Negaspace, and we will talk."

While the lieutenant---Harmotome---didn't usually fancy having a teacher---in this case, she wasn't going to turn him down taking her to Negaspace. There'd be plenty of time for her to go out and do things on her own later. In this case, she could see the benefits of gleaming as much as she could right now from the general. Her grin only widened as she took his hand.
