"Lessee," Harrison said, counting on his fingers, "I'd say about three times or so. Got my book outta there last time. Nary a scar on account of me and Rep being ******** efficient. Rep's got more trinkets than me, though. I got my book, my binoculars, and...hell. I don't know if it counts or not. One of B0nez's skull eyes got a blue piece stuck in it after everything that happened with the Kingdom. Used to have a crown."
Rodney, on the other hand, was practically emanating a gloomy glow. He got even closer to Rep, and showed no signs of retreating. "Gabriel, from a cathedral?" he asked, a little breathlessly. "Do you mean...it belonged to the Gabriel?"

Melvin got a grim look. "Yes well have fun." he sung as the other man walked away. "I'm not going." he said, and then, deciding that it was ridiculous to be forced to climb out of a window in his own home, turned on his heel and headed towards the actual door of the room.
Rep leaned back from Rodney as much as holding the dagger at arm's length a little pointed at the other man allowed. "I don't ******** know who the Gabriel is." he said. "It's just a stupid ******** dagger."
Tracey made an irritable noise in his head. "I had to stab Tracey with it. It does weird s**t when I use my fear. It lets me see in the dark. Any dark. It ******** up my shadow." All of the statements were thrown at Rodney as if they'd somehow satisfy his curiosity.

"That is a lot of times. I admit hearing you've been there a few times is reassuring. Missions have made me a little nervous lately." Very nervous to be exact.
He looked at Rodney look at the dagger and then at Rep. "Rodney likes Angels." He said as a blanket statement for Rodney's interest. He moved to sit on the other side of Harrison to better look at the paperwork. "Is there a elemental theme to the caves or something like that?"

Rodney looked shy. "It's...part of why I came. Rep's weapon, Traciel, also used to be an angel..."
"Themes? Not that I can tell," Harrison said. He thought hard. "Lucky charms? There's a lot of dumb symbols everywhere."
Well, they'd see what he meant. He stood up.
"You guys need to go get or charge anything? Weiman here looks raring to go."

"He says he's still a fallen angel." Rep said to avoid the surly complaints from Tracey. "His name's Tracey, don't call him that dumb ******** woman name."
"There's been weird themes on some of them, the water temple ones did end up with ******** watery artifacts."
Lawrence took the mention of his name as his cue to leave, making a mad dash for the door with a startling turn of speed.

"Well I know when I helped Jerry on the one island, all the artifacts were instruments. And when I was in a sort of....cavernous, wet maze. I got my artifact which has a marine life effect. I tend to think some have a underlying theme at times." He explained as he looked at Rep's dagger a while.
"I am just going to grab my gear and coat. Do any of you need runic stones for a free charge?" He asked, moving to grab his things and then put on his coat.
As Lawr dashed, Melvin made no motion to grab him. He wondered where the man would even go with a empty apartment.

Harrison was on it, more than a little supernaturally fast himself. He corralled Lawr just outside the door, steering him back inside with a too-tight grip around his shoulders and patting his chest.
"Don't worry so much, it's not gonna be so bad. I know you've been through a lot worse than wandering around some old cave. Anyhow, it'll give you a good chance to give Butch a test drive. Most times you end up getting a new charge, too."
Maybe the division you started in kinda influenced things. Starting in Sun gave folks an inclination towards solving things with punching, while starting in Death made folks weaselly ********>

Lawrence reacted to being collared like a fleeing cat, swinging around and sinking Butch's suddenly summoned talons into Harrison's shield. It didn't do much, given the Moon's sturdy defence but it didn't matter.
"No." he snapped, his voice sharp. "I am NOT GOING."
Rep didn't take kindly to the manhandling of his husband.

Not kindly at all. Tracey was summoned without warning as usual and sent furniture scattering as the hook was twisted up to catch in Butch's talons and chains and wrench the man's hand off of Harrison, hauling him forcibly to the floor and keeping him there as he tried to untangle the chains from the hook.
"Call him off!" Lawrence snapped.
"I'LL ******** KILL HIM GIVE ME A ******** REASON." Rep roared as Tracey continued to precariously take up most of the room and leave a nasty gouge in the wood flooring.

Harrison didn't summon, but he did step over Lawrence and put a hand on Rep's shoulder, which he rubbed affectionately. "Alright, now hold on. He didn't scratch me none. He just, as usual, wants to get the s**t beaten out of him. Come on, Rep. Not in Melvin's room."

Rodney looked completely terrified, and it was a miracle he didn't end up in a huddled ball on the other side of the room.
"W-wait, please," he managed, nonetheless beside Lawrence even if he was on the edge of tears.

Rep exhaled in a very angry hiss as Harrison rubbed his shoulder but did not move away from the contact in any way. It was just so ******** frustrating to be denied what he so sorely wanted. Regardless, he compliantly desummoned the enormous axe and Lawrence - now freed - immediately twisted away, pushing himself on his hands and knees and up to stand, looking ruffled and yet somehow blank, staring at Rep for a fleeting moment as if tempted to launch himself across the room at the other man for the indignity he'd caused.
Instead he seemed to rein himself back and exhale into calmness, smirking very smugly as he stretched out, once again reminiscent of a cat, flexing Butch's talons lazily. "Good boys." he said. "Lets not have so much violence."
This went down as well as could be imagined with Rep who at the very least rather than lashing out again seized Harrison's arm in a helpless gesture of "do you see this s**t??" "He WANTS to ******** DIE." he said, strained. "It's practically assisted ******** suicide."
Lawrence gave Rodney a pat on his arm with a long set of friendly talons. "Don't worry yourself, they aren't going to do anything."
His arm did hurt like the dickens though from that godforsaken hook but he wouldn't give them the satisfaction of knowing this.
"Now, as I was saying, I am not going on any mission today. May I leave?"

"If...he doesn't want to go, then," Rodney said, clutching his scarf tightly. He was still shaky, but helped Lawrence up.
"He doesn't know what he wants," Harrison said. "He's pitching a fit just for the sake of it." He gave Rep a bristly and affectionate mustache kiss. "But thanks. I know you want to kill him."
Rodney seemed even more distressed. "Is it...really very dangerous? We'll have our pendants, won't we?"

Melvin moved to stand between the two pairs and crossed his arms. "Missions always have the element of unpredictability which makes it all the more of an asset to have more members to watch your back to increase a safe return." He said in favor of Lawr coming but also seeing the downside. "But a member who isn't there for the team and will be dragged through it won't be much good and could wind up becoming a risk." He said in favor of the flip side of things. Overall, he was neautral.
He nudged the scar on his floor with his shoe.
