Chalcedony lifted a hand to scratch it against his chin again before he said, "I... guess they are a lot sharper then I thought that they were. I always assumed that maybe they were oblivious to such things, not knowing about the past since it was before they were born. I suppose the fact that I have a bit of a... rivalry... with your brother doesn't help matters." There were reasons for it after all and while it wasn't the same intense dislike of their youth it was still a rivalry that caused them to butt heads when they were in the same place. It was just natural these days and the boys, or at least Chandra, seemed to have read into it.

Giving a bit of a sigh he said, "I am sorry... it's quite complicated and not something that you should have had to talk with him about. I should be able to talk with him about it, he's an adult now after all." It was just an awkward subject was all. Sighing again found himself wondering if he should try to talk with him again? After he'd had time to cool off, perhaps? He might be more open to such things then.

Turning to look at Keilana he gave a smile as she spoke of Chandra in a good light, one that he liked the sound of, "Yeah, I would like to think the same. He does seem to soften quite a bit around Aysun after all... even though Aysun seems to do his best to tease him." He wondered for a moment if that side of him, a softer and kinder side, was something he showed his girl. Or was she the sort that liked him because he was moody? Not as though he knew enough about women to really even begin to guess. Chuckling a bit as Keilana compared herself to Chandra he said, "Well, those who are around Chandra enough, or you for that matter, are able to read you. I hope that girl of Chandra's is one of those people."

Chalcedony gave a slight wince before he lifted a hand up, scratching it against the back of his head, "I... guess you're right. It's not as though we exactly hid it that well..." If at all. It was better now a days but to begin with it was even more tense. Now they just butted heads a bit instead of having any sort of outright anger at each other. There were even times that they worked together on things... but still, that was now a days. Back in the days things were far more tense and Chandra seemed to have noticed that.

"Hm... yes, I do hope that he brings her to at least you." He wasn't sure if that was something that he would be allowed to meet with his girl but so long as Keilana did. As she said so long as that was before they ended up as grandparents. He would at least like to hear from Keilana what she was like.

"Hm? Yeah... I am sure it will definitely get worse before it gets better. I just hope that it can get better, I don't want him to completely remove me from his life due to various... misunderstandings. I'm a tough guy, I will take whatever he has to throw at me if it means that maybe we can talk as father and son again one day."

Chalcedony gave Keilana a glance before he gave a bit of a laugh, "I believe you when you say that. I doubt there is a person alive brave or stupid enough to say no to you, Kei." He doubted that Keilana and her hammer would allow anyone to say no to her, especially when ti came to matters that were important to the woman... and if they did he feared for them and their safety as she'd likely bludeon them until they understood the point she was trying to make. Here was to hoping it would be easier for her to get through to Chandra.

"I mean to do my best with him. He's my son after all, my baby, no matter how old he is and how mature he wants to act." He would have to try again... though that meant catching up with him. Chalcedony wasn't exactly a sneaky sort of man so Chandra might see him coming... but that wouldn't stop him from trying.

Giving a thoughtful sound he murmured, "A family dinner? It has been a while... but we can try if you think that it wouldn't be too uncomfortable." And if they could get Chandra to join them while Chalcedony was present. Not to mention getting Aysun to sit down at the table without all of his beasts joining him. It was something that he wanted to at least try.

Giving a smile he said, "Just let me know when its good for you and I will see about finding something to bring." He didn't mind going hunting if it meant bringing something for his family to eat. Giving a smile he said, "I'm glad that I came to visit you, Keilana. You seem to always know just the right thing to say."

Chalcedony gave a smile as Keilana said that she'd make sure that their sons were around for the dinner. He felt a little bad siccing their mother on them but if it meant that they could at least try to get along it would be worth it, right? So long as the dinner didn't become a giant mess that was. He worried that Chandra wouldn't be pleased being forced to sit down with a dinner with Chalcedony. As he got the punch to the shoulder he gave a nod, "Well, I guess we won't know how the dinner will go until it happens, but we can at least hope for the best."

After making sure his shield was securely on his back and he'd gotten the leash for the radaku pup in hand he turned to Keilana, "I will try to visit more often if I am able." It might be good for him to get out and do more then just bounty hunting. Instead he could attempt things that were more... friendly in nature. Getting to sit down and talk with Keilana or the boys would be far better then trying to deal with one dangerous beast or another.

"Thanks for the chat, Keilana." He said, giving her a nod of his head before turning on his heel, heading in the direction of Jauhar. Best that he get home and to work, to make sure he was ready for the day that Keilana called him out for the 'family dinner' that they had in the works now.
