"Oh I don't know." he said. "He's managed to guilt me a few times. And out of you and me, you are the one all sappy and in love. I think you might be weaker to guilt than it looks."
He nodded "But yes though, that is more than most of us have you know. You are a senior hunter. And Melvin is...er. He's been different. I think he snapped a bit, I am not sure when, but he's gotten very..rude. Of late."

Harrison bristled at the sappy and in love stuff, and bristled more at the Melvin update.
"He not happy for some reason?" He asked, almost threateningly. Then, hesitating, and remembering what they were dealing with (and the high possibility of possession) "Or, uh. How...snapped?"

"No, he's not. I don't think it's anything supernatural. I told him about the whole.." and he made a vague gesture with his finger. "Pretending to be his dead girlfriend and channel her and apologised for being such an awful, awful person. I wanted him to move on, but he didn't, he's still there and I think he's decided he isn't going to leave. It is complex but..." he shrugged.
"Poor Rodney has to endure most of it." he was very worn out with the relationship drama in the wake of trying to be a better person.
"It's hard to be a better man when so many people just keep coming back. Not that I'm complaining but I thought people moved on when they were free."
He shrugged his shoulders in an its a mystery sort of gesture. "We can't all have magical unicorn tier relationships."

"You ******** told him. After all the s**t you gave me. You know, every time you talk, I'm like, I can't believe this s**t. And I still can't believe it. What about you. Did you know about this s**t?"
Rodney adjusted his sweater some more. "I...yes. I didn't think Melvin would believe it if anyone but Lawrence told him. But, I told him he should tell the truth. Did you talk to him about it?"
"Yeah. And...what are you calling yourself now? Weiman said I beat him up, which I ******** didn't, and I got kicked out."
"Yes, well," Rodney said. "He's...trying to make the right decisions."
"Some of us can't get magical unicorn tier relationships because we're ******** assholes."

"He didn't believe me at first either frankly. Decided that he wanted to try and rescue Jan. I suppose cowboys are just more appealing to him." he nodded sagely. "I think he has realised now that it is not some other person. Just me. It's all me."
"You did beat me up though. You manhandle me all the time."
Even bantering like this it was difficult to focus, finding his thoughts veering sharply off into fantastical areas at the slightest provocation.
"Not that I /mind/. Mind you. Still, it has been complicated with Melvin, but you did ask, after all."

"So long as he's...okay," Harrison hedged.
Rodney, he noticed, was very quiet. Even when he was speaking. It was like the guy might disappear completely into the interior of the wallpaper at any time.
"Alright," Harrison said, ushering them both into an empty room and shutting the door.
"I'd like to re-verify that I'm not, in fact, any sort of ******** doctor. But if it will make you feel better I can ask some questions and s**t. So what if I inform you that it's in your best interest to get an additional consult, what are you planning on doing?"

Inside the room, Lawrence shrugged his shoulders. "If you told me that I would say certainly, I'll speak to someone later."
He looked back at the door. "Then I would not."

"Great. Good. Perfect," Harrison said. He grabbed a clipboard, rescued a pen from his pocket, and jabbed it at Rodney.
"What about you? You need to cover your ears? Not going to start crossing yourself and saying hail Marys?" He wiggled the pen suggestively.
"It's...medical," Rodney said. "Lawrence, if you feel uncomfortable at any time, let me know, and I can um, step out."

Lawrence agreed with Harrison in checking if Rodney was going to be okay in the situation, lately he felt like checking all the time with the quiet man just in case he freaked out again over something unexpected.
He was about to comment in this vein when Rodney offered to accomodate him if he felt uncomfortable and it was enough to make him laugh abruptly, something which for whatever reason Rodney's various absurdities were apt to do when normally he did not. When he managed to get himself back in check he shook his head.
"I'm sure nothing he could ask would ever make me uncomfortable, audience or not." he said.

Rodney just turned pink. It was Lawrence's business, not his, and he was here for support.
"Right," Harrison said, having a seat and ignoring Rodney for now. He clicked the pen in place. "Okay, pardner. Have any of your erections lasted for over two hours?"

Harrison scribbled that down. That was good news for Lawrence's personals, anyhow.
"You said it started after the mission? So 9 days ago? Since then, how many times per day do you not let them. On average."

"It has been ..rather difficult to keep track." he said, shrugging his shoulders. "I've been skipping between Melvin and Horace and when I'm not with them well."
He tapped his lips thoughtfully. "Six? Seven? More than that? I've been finding it hard to keep track like I say, it all sort of blurs."
Shrugging he clarified. "Three is more my usual speed. I have other things to do in a day."

Rodney was reconsidering the ear covering offer, but folded his hands determinedly. He was here to help. Still, Lawrence had given him trouble over that one time.
Harrison wrote that too. "Okay, so that's a pretty clear increase. Is there anything that makes it better? ...Or worse. Not ******** opiates, apparently."

"The only thing that makes it better is the refractory period. Literally anything even tangentially sexual makes it worse. I do not dare touch alcohol for instance." He still looked concerned about the drugs having no effect. "The opiates making no difference was the first big red flag frankly. I bet I could be utterly sedated and it would still be all I could think about. "
Well, that and America.
