- MIchael Kidder- Rebel- Robe and Green Lightsabre
"Oh you know I've been a Rebel without a cause since day -one-." Kidder grinned, cracking his knuckles and eyeing the selection.
He was wearing a Wookie patterned sweatshirt over a black t-shirt (it had a pattern on it... in fact... it was actually a Star Trek shirt, because it was the most ridiculous think he could think of, and he'd spattered sarcastic buttons down the bandolier.
"Oh man... I guess I can't take both can I?" He sighed, wiggling his fingers as though making a difficult choice and then selected a light robe and a green light-sabre.
Oh this was gonna be fun. Lots of fun.
He knew he probably shouldn't be out, it was late and... his past experience with late events hadn't gone so well, but damnit... he just really wanted to have a little fun.

Thorn Kincaide - Dark Robe - Galatic Empire
Thorn was spending the week at his dad’s place, which was not an ideal situation, but it did mean he could sit up till all hours blogging without worrying about school curfews. The movie marathon thing had crossed his dash more than once, but the sudden late-night email was the one that caught his attention. Midnight movies at a museum sounded much more fun than waiting for his dad to come and blare at him for ‘typing too loud’ or whatever. And it was easier, too, to slip out from dad’s house without a word, disappear into the late-night streets, vanish into the darkness without a trace…
He wasn’t that cruel. The invite was still open on his computer screen, his breadcrumb trail. But he was willing to bet his popcorn money that his dad wouldn’t even bother to look.
The museum grounds were surprisingly quiet given the hype, but email had come through very late. Probably everyone would turn up in an hour or two, once they were sure Jar Jar whatever was off the screen. Who watched Episode One, anyway?
Thorn headed inside through the nearest entrance and surveyed the lit-up pillars before him, listening to the voiceover. They had a neat atmosphere going, he decided, and reached for the black robes with a grin, throwing them over his faded jeans and t-shirt. He was a rebel, but since most people would definitely go Jedi, Darth-ing it up was the more rebellious option. And it was the least-complicated of the costumes, probably the most comfortable for lounging around in. He shrugged his shoulders until the robe sat right, then picked up his matching red lightsaber, ready to rock.
This whole Star wars thing was Zoe's idea, and he didn't quite believe her when she showed him the e-mails regarding the Museum opening at midnight for a movie marathon and party, but he couldn't say he hated it. Eli pulled up into the Museum parking lot, and adjusted his new Finn Jacket that his aunt managed to make him, waiting in his car for a bit while he sent out a text to his odd ball roommate:
Text to Blue Hobbit
Hey I'm here...Where are you?
Surely the little blue haired woman would make it there before him since she didn't want to catch a ride with him, and she was already in town when he decided he would go kind dressed as Finn. Once the text was sent, he got out of his Subaru, and made his way inside. Zoe would find him whenever she got here. For now, he would go inside and save her a seat or something like that....
Whatever you would sit on in a Museum.

Tom - Storm Trooper - Galatic Empire
Tom had been excited about this night ever since he had seen the advertisements. And luckily there were enough of his teammates that wanted to go to so practice had been scheduled earlier as to allow time to get to the event.
Wandering inside he had noticed it was quite dark, with only a few lights showing on what seemed to be a few costumes. Well, he definitely wasn't going to go for the rebels. He heard the voice, though wondered if it had been addressed to him or for someone else who hadn't entered yet.
But he decided to do what the voice said and took one of the stormtrooper's helmets. He picked up the helmet, belt, and fake ammo with the blaster and put it all on. Well, this is interesting already. He thought as he looked around, wondering what was going to happen and if he should be going into some other room.

Jennifer Hollinger - Galactic Empire - Dark Robes
As her thirteen birthday gift, Jen's parents decided to allow her to go to the Star Wars event the museum was putting on. There was little chance of her getting in trouble during a movie marathon at a museum, with the added benefit of getting her out of their hair for an evening. While Jen had never openly enjoyed Star Wars, the latest movie had caught her attention and she'd secretly started to collect Star Wars books. Jen, reading? Who knew a desert scavenger could get Jen to like reading.
Not that she wasn't already a defender of the universe, but her parents didn't need to know her evening adventures.
The museum looked deserted, Jen quietly making her way through the enterence. Very foreboding and very mystical. She liked it, to be honest. The illumination of four pillars caught her attention, directing her in the direction of where to go.
Pick a side huh? Grey eyes gravitated towards the light colored robes and the blasters for a moment. She was White Moon and should choose the light side, right? Well, that was certainly what Iduna would do, but she was Jen and maybe the darker side wouldn't be too bad.
After all, they supposedly had cookies.
Jen donned the dark colored robes, slipping the red lightsaber into her belt and ventured into the dark.

Cassie Finlay -- Light Robe -- Rebel Alliance
She'd been more than a bit confused to get an email so late from the museum about the event, but... really? If people were going to put this much effort into a Star Wars event, no way she was going to object to it.
Or worse, not show up.
She'd taken the time to braid a section of her hair behind her ear, keeping the rest pulled up in a messy bun, and tossed on beige workout pants, a white sleeveless shirt, and a rugged looking dark leather vest over that--not remotely a cosplay, but still a half-hearted (and poor quality) attempt to... er... "look the part." She was laughing at her appearance as she pulled on her boots and hit the streets. It was a fun evening, she figured, so... why not?
The rather... quiet state of the museum when she got there made her frown a bit, but by the time she got in--and some doors were unlocked so that was a positive sign...--she was cheered up to see she wasn't the only one there. Even more cheering, were the pillars and the costumes...
Ok, she didn't feel so bad about her outfit choice now, she decided with glee as she picked up one of the light colored robes, a blue sash, and a blue lightsaber. She was definitely giving huge props to the organizers behind this event... this was awesome!
Now to just... wait tight and see what the next step was, right?
Rana had never been the biggest Star Wars fan, but she'd always thought the movies were entertaining enough. And it seemed people like to do some pretty involved things to celebrate it. So if Adventure Port was putting on a whole Star Wars event, it ought to be pretty fun.
Still, when the email about the start of the event was sent out so late in the night, she almost didn't go. Who gives such short notice for this kind of thing? It was getting late and she was tired. But it did sound fun...After quite a bit of debate (which involved slouching on her bed staring at her laptop for maybe 20 minutes or so) she eventually decided to go.
When she arrived at the building she wondered if she'd gotten the time wrong. There was nobody else around, and she'd have thought this kind of thing would attract a crowd. Maybe nobody else saw the short-notice email? Or were they already inside? She stared at the building, then shrugged and checked the door. It was open, so she went in, but found it was similarly deserted.
She looked around the nearly empty room, just taking in the few props when a voice told her to chose a side. She jumped at the sudden break in the silence, and glanced upward in a half-hearted attempt to see where the sound was coming from, then turned back to the props.
"Empire or rebel, huh?" she mused aloud as she looked between the two collections of items. "I suppose being a rebel could be fun," she said as she started to step towards that side. Then she paused as she remembered an often-repeated saying. "Although..." she grinned, turned, and headed for the Empire side as she continued, "...the dark side does have cookies."
When she reached the costumes, she didn't hesitate about which one to pick. Who'd want to be a storm trooper? They were faceless and had terrible aim. She picked up the dark robe and shrugged it on, pulling the hood up to hide her face. Definitely the way to go.

Terry Hyatt - Galactic Empire - Dark Robes
When the email for the invite had come, Terry had been excited. Matt and him had grown up on Star Wars so it was always fun to see things dedicated to it. He had of course been sure to let Seung know and ask him if he wasn't to join him. He didn't find it too strange that it was a special midnight opening, after all movie theaters did that all the time when new movies came out.
What he did wonder however was just what the event was going to be like. Were they just going to have props? Would they be showing the movies? What about how long the event was going to be> He couldn't recall the information for just how late the event was going to be open for on the email. Thankfully it wasn't a day he had to go to class seeing how classes were done for the semester and he didn't have a job to worry about. Though thinking about jobs made him feel bad for Seung if he had to work the next day. He hoped not but he would be sure to ask his boyfriend if he had to or not when he saw him.
When he arrived to the museum he looked around to see if he could spot his boyfriend only to find no one. That he found weird but as he came to the cosplay items and the voice saying to pick his side he just figured that anyone else had come through a different entrance, after all he and Seung hadn't worked out where they would meet. He stood there looking between the items for a few minutes then gave a shrug and picked up the dark robes. Sure it meant he was a Sith and the ironies that came with it, but when he and Matt were little if they weren't both being Jedi's fighting against invisible foes, he was usually the bad guy as Matt liked to play the older card so it was a bit of a habit.

Slate - Rebel Alliance - Light Robe
In truth, Slate knew nothing about what Star Wars was, or what this event might be like, but he saw it as an opportunity to learn more about the Star Wars hype and maybe gain some friends in the process. What was wrong with just stepping in to investigate? And, if they were gonna show the movies, then he'd have a shot at finally getting the scope of the Star Wars thing without having to annoy people with questions about where he should start to get a grasp of the mythos.Already he was feeling pretty good about the choice he made.
His lack of experience with public events left him unfazed when the invitations finally came, despite how clandestine they seemed. Slate simply thought little of it. He arrived as instructed, and found no one there but himself. Maybe he simply arrived too early, and the convention was intended for arrival when fashionably late. He wasn't sure, but with the absence of everyone, he figured he was right. There wasn't much purpose to standing around, though, not when the robes on either side were so conveniently illuminated. There weren't signs saying that he should don one, but there weren't the usual glass cases that museums had over their wares, either. Slate simply looked between the two, decided the blue-green light hurt his eyes less, and meandered over to the lighter robes.
As he held them up, he decided he liked them. And they looked pretty wearable, with all the lights attached, so why not put them on? As he did so, and looked across the room, he decided the darker wear looked far too much like his Negaverse attire, and he already elected to take a night off from that. He needed the break, and this was supposed to be it.
But where was everybody?

Gweneth Malley - Rebel Alliance - Light Robe Star Wars had always been a secret love of her. Sure, Gwen wasn't obsessed with the movies to the point of devoting a large portion of her time towards them and the expansive world that was written in hundreds of books, but she very much enjoyed them. Given the chance to celebrate the official Star Wars day, May the Fourth, she was quite willing and eager to enjoy the evening. Of course, she was coming alone. Isaiah had not seem too enthralled with the idea of marathoning Star Wars movies in a theater. No big deal though. She was a capable woman and enjoyed alone time.
By this point, Gwen was well along with mending. Her stitches had been removed just the other day and the sling that had been restricting her shoulder movements had been gone for a week at this point. She was still under strict orders to not push herself though. A night relaxing in a movie theater should be perfect. I get to enjoy the evening and not be stuck in the apartment anymore.
So, with the intent to take it easy and just relish the evening with watching Star Wars, Gwen made her way to the museum. It was oddly dark, but with the doors wide open she didn't think much of it. Could be the atmosphere they want to set up. She mused quietly as she walked up and through one of the entrances.
The quietness was a bit peculiar, but positioned not far from her were props and costumes. Raising a brow, Gwen wondered if maybe she had gotten in a bit over her head. She hadn't thought there would be a requirement to dress up but, here it was in front of her.
-“Choose your side,” comes a voice from above. “Do you stand with the Empire or are you a rebel?”-
Grudgingly she noted the items she had to choose from before swiping up a light robe and sash which she reluctantly threw on over her jeans and light sweatshirt. Once the robe was in place she grabbed hold of a random lightsaber which turned up to be blue.Obi-wans color. I am ok with this. She had to admit though, the lights on the outfit were a bit odd. Was there more going on than just watching movies?
Glancing around she wondered where she was suppose to go next as there was no clear sign. A little swell of anxiety blossomed in her stomach as she glanced around in the darkness looking for a clear sign of direction.
Alice Bela Kiss (Bela) - Galactic Empire - Dark Robe
Bela had been trying to find something to do for the night. While, she wasn't quite a big enough star wars nerd to dress up like a jedi or lord sith and prance around town, she totally hadn't brushed the fact off. So when she got an invite from the museum to come join their event.
She was all over it like butter on bread. She entered in to one of the doors, it was fairly empty, just some lights and were those pillars with star wars things on them? Yeah? Okay.
She hummed as she moved and snagged up the Dark Robes. They'd totally go better with her hair. She stood there wondering what to do next though.

Rebel Alliance
The left pillars go dark, no longer visible.
“Welcome to the Rebel Alliance! It is a strength of character that you stand against the empire to fight against their tyranny. The time to fight is here! May the 4th be with you.”
An elevator lights up to the right, the door opens and the voice tells you to enter it and tells you to head up to the 4th floor. You've made your choice and this is no turning back now.

Gweneth Malley - Rebel Alliance - Light Robe
As the pillars on her left go dark and the voice returns once again with commands, Gwen's little knot of anxiety quickly dissipates. I am being silly. I just need to relax and enjoy whatever they have planned. It was obvious that this whole thing had been set up meticulously to be a fun and engaging event. More than she had initially thought she had signed up for, but at this point, willing to participate in.
Looking to the right where the elevator opens, spilling light into the room that felt momentarily darker courtesy of the pillars darkening, Gwen crosses the room and steps in. It's still a bit odd I haven't run into -anyone- yet. I wonder if anyone else is here or did they somehow manage to separate groups and I just ended up alone? It was a curious thought that crossed her mind as she turned and glanced at the buttons.
"At least they're keeping with the theme." She said quietly as she pressed on the button for the fourth floor which lit up the button and promptly triggered the doors to close. The metal doors in front of gave Gwen a chance to view her form, mind in quite a blurry fashion, but she couldn't help the smile that crossed her lips at the sight of her decked out as a Jedi. "This is either going to be annoying or extremely entertaining tonight." She was banking towards entertaining considering how much thought it seemed went into this and she was only at the introduction.
It didn't take long for the elevator to reach it's destination which was indicated by a soft ping. Normally at this point the elevator doors would open to deposit it's guests on the floor they desired but instead this one stayed closed. "What the? Is it broken?" She knocked on the doors a few times to see if maybe they were just stuck and needed assistance but nothing happened.
"Alright I am not OK with this." She said loudly as panic began to set in.
Bela watched as the pillars went dark and she listened to the loud speaker. "I feel like I almost volunteered as tribute. But that'd be the wrong movie." She said to herself as she moved towards the elevator.
Looking at the doors that opened, "I'm going to assume you know where to take me too?" She said, as she stepped inside working to go ahead and slip on the robes since obviously this looked like it was going to be something she was totally use to.
