Krynn couldn't help it, he just made it too easy to be curious about the box. When she went to it, he tried to distract her from the contents, attempted to hide that there was something important to him inside. Her lips cracked into a smile as he suggested going to another area of his home, and she turned her head to face him as he glared at his own box. "If it's nothing special, just open it," She was still smiling when he said he would open for her conditionally. Krynn met his eyes and even allowed her face to rest in his hand for a moment before he spoke again. The marking caused her to relax some, but there was a bright flash of rage in the woman's eyes.

With cheeks heated from booze and anger, the lamia frowned and backed away from the ifrit, pushing his hand away from her face. She removed her hand from the box and let it hang loosely by her side, but when the relaxation faded from her body both of her hands alternated between open palms and tight fists. Her eyes were narrowed and viper-like, and yet, when she spoke, she did not sound as full of fire as she felt, "We're done, Rajin. Curiosity will not change that," The Zmeya took in a deep breath and calmed herself, letting it out. Her eyes softened to their usual roundness, and Krynn gave a look around the room before looking back to Rajin. Despite her rage, the thought lingered in her mind. She did not want him.. but the thought stayed. "Maybe I should go.." She trailed off, rubbing her right temple with her fingers, eyes closed now.

The mighty ifrit was offended and made it plain to see. When he was told they were through, Rajin nearly burst into flames of indignation. Even though the lamia was able to calm herself, Rajin was not. His emotions were unfettered, but thankfully not his self-restraint. Anyone other than someone like Krynn would subject to the ifrit's wrath. "Maybe you should go then." Rajin growled, pointing to the exit. "You know where the door is. Leave." The ifrit's voice seething with pent up fury on the edge. Rajin was going to need let some off steam after this. No doubt he'd be facing another disturbing the peace fine.

The rapidly growing heat in the room caused Krynn to open her eyes once more, and her mouth found the shape of a frown at his rage. The hand that was to her temple dropped to her side and her chin tilted upwards just a fraction. Despite this, her shoulders sunk and her body language began to give away what she tried not display on her face - the fear of him when he was angry with her.. and he more often than not was angry with her. As he pointed to the door, the heat moved closer and the Zmeya began to sweat. He was close to pushing, but she never really knew when to quit.

"When will you grow up?" Regret followed her words, but she couldn't backpedal now that she started. Her hands squeezed once more into fists, but her step backwards furthered the display of fear. "What? If you don't own me, if I won't let you anymore, you don't want me around?" Perhaps the alcohol loosened her tongue more than she let on. Krynn wasn't known for being much of a drinker, and it was showing, "That's stupid! I wanted to come here, I wanted to see you, and you have to go and ruin it like you always do!" The lamia watched him for a moment, eyes returning the fire, but stomped herself to the door and slammed it behind her.. and found herself slumped against the wall just outside of it, ears thundering to the sound of her heart.

Rajin's eye were lit ablaze when the lamia insulted him. Grow up? The nerve of this woman. The gall of it all. The frit clenched his fist so tight they could have drawn blood from his own palms. "Who said anything about owning?" Hissed the genie. "Besides, you're the one who suggested you should leave. I'm simply affirming that." The ifrit pointed to the door with his finger and his blazing eyes locked with Krynn. "There's the door. Leave!" Rajin bellowed. "Maybe the scumbag who groped you at the club is still conscious enough to do it again." The lamia stormed off, but not before plunging a few more poisonous daggers into the ifrit's ego.

With Rajin's wife gone, the genie turned and breathed deeply before combing his fiery hair. A sigh of disappointment released from his lips as she shook his head and stuffed his pockets. "Damn." He murmured. "I used too much emotion on that one." The fiery genie was suddenly devoid of anger. His voice completely calm. As if the fight between him and his old lover had never happened. He simply just seemed mildly frustrated. "I need to work on my acting. Those lines were too forced. Won't be able to con the Yakuza with that." The ifrit casino master walked over to his black iron box and opened it, revealing his hidden treasures. A necklace of massive shark teeth and an old wedding photo of Rajin holding his bride his arms with a wide smile.

( feeling a little lost as to what is happening @-@
but also am lovin his box :') )

If he couldn't have her, good riddance. The snake had to remind herself that Rajin was not the person he once was - it seemed she let it slip her mind again, let her guard down. Her eyes stung but did not well up, and the scared girl shrunk under his rage. Insult followed closely as his suggestion that the stranger would be more welcome to grope her sunk in. Krynn pulled herself up, but found the world a little more slanted than she remembered as she found her way to her rental car, only to find herself scrambling for her keys. Looking inside of the vehicle, the snake discovered worse news for herself.. and let out a frustrated yell as she gave the car a kick.

The dent was the least of her worries as she plopped down on her bottom against the tire of the car. The keys sat perfectly atop her purse.. which was in the seat of the locked car. Wallet, cell phone, keys. All locked in a stinking rental with her stuck to the bottom of a casino. She cursed herself for being so careless, for her jittery feelings.. but most of all, for even entertaining this. Things had changed for a reason, and as the Zmeya sighed, she pulled her knees up and rested her arms over them. She allowed herself to be still, which was unlike the girl.. but she had not granted herself this liberty in a long time. She tilted her head back and leaned against the car, closing her eyes. Krynn would go inside eventually and call Zmeya to help her out of the predicament, but for now she sat and sulked.

Rajin was alone again. His penthouse echoed with silence as he skulked about. In a moment, the ifrit would go back to his bar room to have a few more drinks before turning for night, but then, he heard a familiar buzzing. Rajin's cell phone. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the device. Rajin's cell was clearly a kind of top of the line model with obvious luxurious features that only the rich could afford. "What it is?" The ifrit responded, sounding a bit tired. "Sir, we got word from of one the parking lot attendants that Ms. Zmeya is sitting in the parking lot. She seems to be locked out of her car." Rajin sighed. "Well, have security come by and unlock her car or something." The voice on the other end seemed to understand. "And do it now. If she walks in here asking to use the phone, one of you is going home without a paycheck...forever." The ifrit then hung up. His air of menace would surely be enough to motivate anyone.

In no time at all, parking security came and found the lamia sulking next to her car. "Excuse miss, are you Krynn Zmeya?" The security officer was a strangely familiar looking person. A giant of a man with bovine horns protruding from his skull. "Mr. Uusash told me to come here and help with your car troubles." The security guard came holding a slender looking stick with a small hook and some kind pumping device.

The stillness was too much. The silence in the parking lot wasn't calming anymore. Sitting down and not being productive started to agitate her.. as if she wasn't already in a sour mood. When she went to stand to go inside and call Zetaya, she heard a man's voice. Was she Krynn Zmeya? She didn't feel like herself, but her head moved up and down and she stood straighter. When she did look to the man, her eyes were narrowed and her mouth was a straight line. "Thank you," She began, brushing off her legs. "You can tell Rajin I was helped and went on my way," She held out her hand, and looked at the minotaur almost expectantly.

"I need to use a cell phone," Explained the snake, her tone veering onto the annoyed side. Of course he would send a lackey.. but the more she stood there, the more she began to recognize him.. and Krynn's straight line turned into a frown. If this was who she thought it was, there was something very wrong with the way her husband ran his life. The same bull that threatened and attacked the two of them, now trying to help her get keys out of her car? What were the chances of that? Krynn looked into the car briefly, then back to the man, her hand still outstretched to him. Zetaya would help her, perhaps more effectively than the bull would. At least she hoped she would.. after all, the snake did believe that her genie-in-law had tried to push them together again.

The minotaur in the suit didn't quite understand what was going on. All he knew was what he was told. When Krynn told him she needed to use her cellphone, he was befuddled. What did that have to do with anything? In either case, the minotaur turned. "You know, it's been quite some time since I've seen you. The last time I saw you was in that defunct dungeon. You've both grown quite a lot." Before leaving, the minotaur turned his head and gazed softly at the supermodel. "Rajin has changed quite a bit, but he always seems to go quiet whenever you're brought up. That, or get angry." The minotaur then began to walk away. "Have good night, Ms. Zmeya."

Perhaps the bull didn't recognize the Zmeya - after all, she was covered in dirt and scratches when they last met.. and she wasn't the one that fought him. Despite that, her frown did not soften, her eyes still sharp and angry. At his confusion, Krynn sighed and rolled her eyes. When he turned away and spoke, the snake seemed even more on edge, even dropping her hand back to her side in a fist. "I don't -" The man spoke again, and Krynn shut her mouth. She needed his phone, but his words struck something in her. The snake moved a hand without thinking, wrapping itself around the pendant that hung from her neck. Her eyes went to the ground, her lips found the shape of a pout now. When she looked up to explain that she needed a phone from him, the man was already gone.

Whenever I'm brought up.. Krynn could feel herself giving in, but there was a flag in the back of her mind that shot up. Perhaps all of this was just a ploy, maybe she hadn't really locked her keys inside, maybe they got put there. Conspiracy theories about trying to get Rajin back in her life swirled wildly, but the snake shook her head. That was much too deep. There would be too much time invested in getting Krynn here, in placing all the details of this plan so that they would all fall perfectly in order. Rather, she focused on what the minotaur told her.. and she stood against the car for another few minutes, hand still idly stroking the penchant. She shouldn't leave like this, she decided, letting Rajin stew in anger and wondering what else they could have done to be able to merely be in each other's presence.. even if he wasn't. With another sigh, and a push-off from the rental, Krynn made her way back up to the penthouse.

The firit had forgotten how long it had been since his wife had come to visit. He was enthralled in a drunken stupor brought on by pure Russian vodka and Indian moonshine. A couple bottles of a strong drink laid strewn across the ground. Each one was empty. The long slender bottle of rich vodka sat next to his feet while the globular bottle of moonshine hung daintily from his hand. Rajin was now drowning his boredom in liquor to pass the time until he fell asleep. <******** using a glass." The ifrit mumbled while sitting on his living room couch. The red satin filling in with his shape. "I'm the only one who drinks this crap. Why bother." In truth, the ifrit probably had a drinking problem. But, considering his supernatural status, he could handle it better than the best human liver. In the background, slow and mellow music played like white noise. The ifrit's normally pristine attire was now a mess. His shirt was unbuttoned and untucked, his hair needed to be combed, and he was covered in wrinkles. The shark tooth necklace wrapped around his chest. Rajin's new maid was going to have her work cut out for her in the morning.

It didn't take long for the woman to get back up to the penthouse, though it did take a couple of smiles and friendly pauses, if only to act the part that she always upheld for public eye. Though, when she neared his actual door, she seemed hesitant. With heightened senses, her nose felt the sting of very many alcohol bottles.. and her lips pursed as she - for the umpteenth time tonight - questioned if what she was doing was what she should be doing. Krynn closed her eyes, her brow a little furrowed as she gave a heavy knock to her husband's door. Well.. no going back now. The snake took a step back, hoping to hear stirring behind the door despite herself. She wasn't quite as messy from her brief departure, though now her ponytail was far more loose than it had been, and her jeans were a little dirtier from the ground. And, of course, the necklace was once again out and displayed on her shirt, out of place with her plain outfit.

The ifrit sat there with his empty drink in hand. His eyes were beginning to produce hazy visions and blurred sights. He even thought he heard the door knocking. "Shut your trap before I knock you up, ya dumb door." The drunken ifrit hollered before falling out of bed-like chair. <********> Rajin hit head on the ground. The drunken CEO slowly got to his feet and stumbled to the door. His balance was completely off. The only thing keeping him steady was grasp on the door. "Opensesame!" With little regard for his current state, Rajin ripped the door right off its hinges. "Oh!" He remarked after seeing who was on the other side. "Itssjuu. Krrrrynn. My lovely...wiife..Or is it ex-wife? I forgot the details." Rajin smiled. At least the lamia wouldn't have to deal with a violent ifrit this time around, even if Rajin was playing her last time. All chips were down this time. If she wanted to, she could probably ask the drunken genie anything and get the answer with little resistance. "Come on in. I wasss just about to fix another drink." The red faced genie lobbed his shoulder around and began shuffling to his bar again, ripped door in tow.

At first, the ifrit seemed angry, yelling to the door and then stumbling around to it. Krynn took to biting her lower lip, but jumped and yelped as the door, like many others the two had encountered, was ripped from it's hinges. Taking in his appearance, words, and uh.. smell, the snake found herself feeling a little relieved that her husband seemed to be in a better mood - even if he was sloppy drunk and less than pristine. It was almost a little calming, to see him unkempt and messy.. Like old days. Krynn smiled to Rajin, "We can't really get a divorce unless you remove my head," She spoke lightheartedly, knowing - or maybe hoping - that it would be taken in jest. In fact, the lamia poked and prodded Zetaya for a long time about genie divorces, only to come to know that they were next to impossible to be granted. Not that Zetaya would ever grant it to her, anyway. She might have been the favorite - and only - daughter, but allowing her the separation was already something she knew the genie disliked.

As Rajin spoke once more and turned, the Zmeya caught the shark tooth necklace in her gaze. Perhaps it was just her imagination. He wouldn't really put that on after she left.. would he? Krynn's cheeks darkened and she followed after him, though she did catch up and attempt to remove his hand from the door, "I don't think the door needs a drink," She said gently, all too familiar with this situation from her husband. "But I could use one or two," This time, she smiled to him. After managing the door from his grasp, Krynn set it down to the side and pulled the ponytail holder from her hair. Allowing her locks to cascade down, the snake moved behind the bar and then leaned over it as she watched Rajin. He would pass out soon if he kept up like this, it was just the way this always played out. She looked around the bar for a moment and then began opening a few cabinets, though when she found the viper whiskey, she stopped and pulled it out, setting it on the bar.

This was all a little too out of character for her now, but the motions were still committed to memory. Pouring the both of them a shot in their glasses from earlier, Krynn capped the bottle and waited.. though her mind - and eyes - stayed on the necklace wrapped around Rajin's body. He made it hard to miss him most of the time, but seeing him like this right after her visit, disheveled and drunk, had her aching a little for when things were better between them. Her mouth didn't betray her, though there was a sad sort of longing in her eyes the more she watched Rajin.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 12, 2016 3:33 pm

Rajin didn't pay much mind or even notice when the door he had been dragging was taken away. He was more focused on getting another drink. "I can feel the buzz wearing off." He commented, shambling to the bar. Krynn had made her way around and set the viper whiskey on the counter. "Oh that schtuff? I usssually keep it for just....special occasions." The ifrit's reaction and thinking speed had noticeably slowed. "Like if you ever came over." When the lamia had poured him a shot, it took Rajin a moment to notice. The fire genie clasped his red cheeks at the sight of the filled shot glass. "Where'd that come from?" He exclaimed. "Well, I won't look thish gift horse in the mouth. Bottoms up." The ifrit grasped the shot and tossed most of the liquid inside into his gullet. The rest splashing against his face. "G'oh, s**t! It got in my eye."

Krynn shook her head when he claimed that his buzz was wearing off. He was slow and moved with a bulky shamble. When he was on the other side of the bar, she had already found the whiskey and began pouring their shots. When Rajin commented on the drink being for special occasions, she smiled to him.. but when he mentioned specifically that her presence was special to him, she held back her urge to express the same notion. Instead, she spoke to him a little teasingly, "I bet you say that to all the girls," Followed by a grin and with we wrapping her fingers around her shot. Rajin could be sweet sometimes.. though more often than not that seemed to be when he was sloshed. It was a little endearing to watch him put his hands to his cheeks, surprised to see the shot in front of him. She gave a slight raise of her glass as he took his in hand and took it back smoothly.

Setting the glass on the counter, the snake wiped her mouth and sighed. Looking around quickly, Krynn found the sink and took her shot over to it. She ran some water for a moment, "Hold still," Said the woman in a firm tone, rinsing out her shot glass a few times before filling it. Going to the genie, she guided him to a seat and tilted his head back, then poured the water over his eye as she leaned over his body. Most of her long locks fell around her, some even landing on him as she rested the hand that wasn't holding the shot glass on his other side. "You have to blink it out or it's going to keep hurting," Her words were far softer this time, kinder even as she attempted to help wash the alcohol from his eye.
