Personality: Sanne is usually pretty quiet and tends to stick to herself. She doesn't really like being the center of attention, but considering her bright colors and very high voice, it just kind of happens whether she wills it or not. Sanne has a very high speaking voice naturally, and she had to be careful when she sings or raises it since it can hurt ears just by the pitch alone. It makes practice a bit difficult as she tries to find more secluded areas, but she's actually very proud of her singing voice and how she can hit the higher notes with ease.

Sanne is usually quite calm, and while aloof is still friendly when approached. She's not one for conflict and tries to use deflection before all else. She does have a fairly formidable temper, but it's only roused by those who just can't take the hint. She can be a little stuck up sometimes, but she's able to look past appearances where it really counts.

Prompt Reply: Sanne was perched on a bench, swinging her feet back and forth while she listened to adults arguing. She scowled rebelliously at the floor. She knew she was at fault, but she was far too irritated and stubborn to admit it. You'd think she was the first person to ever have rainbow coloring, the way some of the other students reacted! At first she'd rather enjoyed the compliments, but then some of her fellow students had started reaching out to touch her scales without asking! That alone had been quite annoying. Would these furred races like it if she came up to them and started stroking their fur like they were animals in a petting zoo for her enjoyment? She highly doubted so.

Then there were the attempts at flirting. Sanne had tried to be nice and politely decline. She understood that part of traveling to Below was to learn more about the cultures of others, but frankly she found their courtship rituals confusing and bizarre. Some had been kind enough to take the hints and leave her be, but there were others who continued to persist. One particularly annoying pursuant even had the gall to reach out and try to touch her hair!

That had been the last straw for Sanne. She'd shrieked her anger and....some of her magic had gotten in as well. She wasn't sure if the magic had had much affect, or if it had been her voice all on its own; she had a very high voice when she fully exercised it, and her "suitor" had large ears. Of course she'd gotten in trouble, and it seemed like the teachers were debating what to do. She heard the word "detention" a couple of times from where they'd placed her on the bench. Sanne sighed. Extra assignments and more work on self-control. Fantastic...

Personality:
Clever, flirty, and a bit snobbish, she believes herself to be better then most around her... They're certainly wonderful, but only a few are on par with her lovely self. She sees nothing wrong with this, after all... It's her duty to care for herself, and be as beautiful as can be, and if SHE doesn't appreciate the effort she goes to, well it'd be a waste of her time. Those few that she considers to be her equals are people she will treat as her closest friends, and potentially a future mate. The even fewer she considers to be above her pretty much... are the royal family, and her parents... Her teachers are her betters only in knowledge. She doesn't MEAN to treat others badly, but in her snobbishness, she has been known to accidentally offend... Except once in a while, when she did it on purpose. But she doesn't talk about those instances, shhh!
Prompt Reply:
Adalanda walked into detention, sighing, and flipping her hair over her shoulder in annoyance. This was SO not where some one as pretty and wonderful as she was should be! So what if she had tried to charm that pretty Kirin boy she'd met into acting as her escort to a dance by singing to him? That's what her voice was for, wasn't it? And, well... She was certainly the best thing in this school he'd likely meet, except for one of her dear friends, so he should have been GLAD he'd caught her eye, and not complained to a teacher. It wasn't like she was harming him, she hadn't tried to FORCE him! Just make him wake up to how wonderful and pretty she was, so he'd realize she was perfect for his date! He'd have had a good time, with a beautiful girl. Instead, he got mad and stalked off. WELL. At least she knew he wasn't smart enough to appreciate her!
She sashayed up to the teacher on duty, and checked in, then slowly made her way to a desk at the back of the room. Sure, at the front everyone could admire her, but they ALL got to admire her as she walked back. She sank into the desk, and picked up the assignment they were making all the detention attendees work on, her perfectly painted nails brushing the paper. She eyed it, with a bit of disdain, as she read the information. An essay, on how to be a better citizen and student of the Academy? So much fail.
She sighed, deeply, then put the paper down and pulled out her current favorite pen... It went with her scales, perfectly. She uncapped it, and began to write, with slow precision... She had to have each letter as perfect as she was, after all. An essay that was sloppily written would reflect badly on her. She took her time, and barely completed it before the detention was over. She glanced over her work, and then capped her pen. Her essay would certainly impress the teachers, and perhaps then they'd see she was just doing the right thing to make things right around the school! When the teacher indicated they could leave, after submitting their work, she sashayed back up, making sure to wink at the cutest student in the class as she passed... After all, flirty encouragement surely would make them feel good about themselves, especially from some one as pretty as she was... and turned it in. She was free!

Personality: Sweet and innocent, if a bit lazy. Marinette is a dreamer, often stuck in her own little world. She's a bit immature yet, and doesn't grasp social cues easily. She's also not very aware of the world around her, frequently startled by people approaching her or speaking to her. Like most of her kind, she is a strong vocalist, and but she also has a heavy interest in singing professionally.

Prompt Reply: Marinette doodled on her paper, in shapes vaguely like flowers, or perhaps butterflies. The room was quiet, papers shuffling, and the air was dreadfully still. She sighed, laying her head on her arm. The Naiad knew she wasn't supposed to nap in here, or it could result in even more detention. She wished she could hum a little tune to herself, but the silence was an unfortunate requirement of the punishment. Even worse, she could feel a cold coming on.

She had wound up here on her own whimsy, or what others might call sheer laziness. When she was first sent to the Academy, Marinette was amazed by the variety of life here on the land. Sure, the beds of seaweed and the flocks of colorful fish were fun, but flowers and birds brought joy and sparkle to her eyes! Even though she was supposed to be staying in her pool overnight, she'd had a bad habit of breaking the curfew, spending personal time in the fields outside the school. She loved to make daisy chains and flower crowns, weaving stems through each other as she sang to herself, enchanting the creations with a will of longer life. She often wore her own natural jewelry, and received compliments for it occasionally.

Last night, she had stayed up and out too late, watching the stars and the moon, playing with flowers. She was daydreaming about becoming a famous gardener. Perhaps a famous singer gardener, humming to her flowers about the beautiful size and health they'd grow into. The Naiad would travel around all of Below and Above, selling her enchanted floral jewelry to young freshlings. Perhaps she'd even marry a Dryad or a Fey, to the dismay of her parents, and live with them in a green house (whatever that was)! She fell asleep at a small hour with a smile on her face and the moonlight on her scales.

When she woke up with the sun on her rosy cheeks, Marinette woke up with a gasp. She'd been out all night! And she hadn't even went to sleep in her pool, which meant she would likely be getting sick soon. She hurried over to her dorm, where she found her caretaker waiting with raccoon eyes and a deadly glare. Where have you been all night? the older woman chided, tapping a foot while the Naiad slid into her dorm room to freshen up and change before breakfast. You'd better be ready for detention after classes, missy! Marinette felt incredibly guilty that she had upset her caretaker so much, but she was also a little angry herself. Who said she couldn't stay out all night and enjoy the feeling of the grass beneath her, the wind playing on her skin? Apparently, the curfew.

So here she was now, even though she hadn't even been late for class. Doodling on papers while she was supposed to be doing homework. Marinette sighed once more, picking her head up to look at the clock. She couldn't wait until she was a senior.

Personality: Pronouns - Zhe, Zer, Zerself

Irison is actually a really outgoing individual. Zhe isn’t afraid to start up a conversation, or to be the first to raise a hand in class. The attention doesn’t both zer, in fact zhe rather likes it. Strange enough though, zhe isn’t a prideful person, always showing humility and being humble when zhe should be. Along with this, zhe is a courageous little Naiad, not being afraid to try new things, being willing face something that zhe fears, and the willingness to go to new places. When hearing of the opportunity to go to the Below zhe had heard so much about growing up, zhe sprang from their watery home as soon as zhe could to join those who were making their way down there already. Zhe is a risk taker, willing to do whatever zhe needs to in order to make dreams a reality.

Another interesting thing about Irison is zer liking of puns. Zhe uses them whenever zhe gets the chance, no matter how serious the situation. That doesn’t mean zhe can’t take a situation seriously, zhe just likes to lighten the mood a bit and help everyone to smile during the rough times. Besides the extensive use of puns, Irison is actually a really good comedian. During talent shows zhe will do small comedian acts, telling funny stories, jokes, doing hilarious skits, and yes, more puns. Zhe can also use different types of comedic styles, being able to appeal to a variety of audiences. Zhe isn’t sure if it is what zhe wants to do when they graduate the academy, but zhe knows that whatever zhe does, zhe wants to make sure zhe make others laugh and cheer them up.

Main traits - Risk Taker, Humble, Out-Going, Courageous, Good Sense of Humor

Prompt Reply: Irison let out a loud yawn as zhe leaned back in zer chair to stretch some to try and keep zerself awake, arms behind zer head while the detention lady (a fallen) watched zer with glaring eyes. Detention wasn’t a new concept for zer in this new world to zer, but that didn’t mean zhe liked it. Everyone was always so down in the dumps, or just didn’t care about even being stuck here. Irison cared, but perhaps not for the same reason as everyone else. Zer reason? It was a chance to help make someone's day a little less sorrowful.

Turning some to zer left, zhe saw a small imp junior, a few whimpers that made it seem like the junior was crying coming from them as they hide their head in their arms on the desk. Zhe wanted to cheer up the gal, but just how? Perhaps a pun would be enough to get them to feel better about being here? “Hey, cute imp gal,” zhe whispered, trying to get the gals attention. Sure enough the imp looked up and over at zer, the detention lady still watching and presumably listening “, For a Fallen, she sure has us grounded, don’t you think?”

The imp sat there in silence for a bit until the pun finally made sense, bursting out laughing at the joke and catching everyone’s attention. Apparently the Fallen detention lady didn’t like it though at all, a rather crossed face quickly overcoming her face “, Irison, why are you in detention again?”

“Because I made a pun in the middle of a pop quiz in math that was supposed to be silent after being warned previous times not to?”

“Yes, and why do you think that was wrong of you to do?”

“Because it could distract the other students trying to take the quiz?”

The lady nodded “, You have to learn to control your rather... creative mindset from just spilling out stuff like that when others are trying to work on something, like tests, reading assignments, and in detention when they are supposed to reflect on what they did wrong. Do you understand?”

“Yes I do.”

“Well then, I sure hope you don’t end up doing it agai-”

“But,” Irison quickly cut her off, having something to say as well before the lady continued “, I personally can’t let someone remain so sad if I can cheer them up. It isn’t in my nature to see someone having a sad day and just leave them to be swept over with their doom and gloom,” zhe moved zer hand in the direction if the imp gal zhe had told the joke just to “, she was sad, crying even, and I wanted to make her happy. If that means I get detention, then so be it. I will try to restrain myself from doing so in tests and reading sessions as you say, but if I see despair around me and I have the power to make someone’s day, even if it is just one person, I will do so. I know I made it hard for everyone in that room to take a test by mentioning that question 3, a question on the circumference, diameter, and area of a 25 degree angle for the circle for said problem, wasn’t a slice of pi but it sure made my emotions go round, but I would do it again."

Zhe looked around the detention room and the other students, seeing some fellow daydreams within the mix that were waiting for what zhe was going to say next ", A lot of the students in that class just came from the above and miss their home, especially during this time a year with the Spring Prom being here for the Naid, Fey, and Kirin. No one in that room was having a good day, and that is why I told that joke. Next time I will try to at the very least do it after the test instead of during it though. I don’t mean to be rude to you the teachers, but it is just my way of trying to make someone smile. I am sorry for the trouble I have caused you, but this is just who I am,” With that zhe got up and gave an apologetic bow, refusing to get up from that position until the fallen said something back.

The detention lady just sat there for a moment, every one of the students in detention eyeing her to see what she would do next. With a defeated sigh, she gave Irison a nod “, Thank you for explaining your logic on the situation, saying you don't mean to be rude, and saying you were sorry. Just make sure to be more careful next time. Your speech won’t work next time on me, so be careful not to end up back here.”

Looking up as the lady spoke, zer eyes seemed to sparkle at the words spoken. With zer body standing up straight, zhe gave a nod of understanding before sitting back down and smiling at the imp gal, glad to see the gal wasn’t crying anymore and was smiling. Mission accomplished.

Personality: Lovise is headstrong and follows after her own beat. There are times when she's gotten in trouble simply by being unwilling to compromise. She's both resigned and defiant to the trouble she gets into as a result. It's not exactly that she refuses to cooperate at all, so much that she wants to cooperate on her terms instead of the terms of others. She possesses a rather incredible level of willpower and plain ol' stubbornness, for no matter how often it seems like she's getting in trouble she still refuses to bow before pressure, and resiliently strides forward on her own terms.

Stubbornness aside, Lovise is actually quite friendly. She's very interested in learning about others, and loves chatting. She doesn't much care for leaving the water and spends a great deal of her time submerged, but every now and then she's willing to come out and socialize with other land-dwellers.

Prompt Reply: Lovise sighed gustily, flipping her tail back and forth and feeling quite bored. Across from her sat a teacher, lecturing. She hoped they finished soon so she could leave. Recently Lovise had been getting into quite a bit of trouble, though she honestly didn't see what the problem was. So she preferred water over her charm, what was the big deal? So what if she came to classes soaking wet because she'd been spending every bit of free time in between the classes in the Naiad pools? It was just water, it would mop up. She was always careful with her books, rarely left more than a couple water marks on her homework, and she thought she was being very considerate about where she left puddles.

But no, apparently all the water everywhere was too much of some kind of disruption or another. Teachers told her when she was coming to class to wear her charm and she could soak later. Lovise had tried, but she still didn't like it. So she'd ignored the teachers and continued coming to class dripping wet from a very satisfying soak in the water. The lectures she got as a result were super boring; they rarely varied, and she could recite most of it all in her sleep by this point.

Memory of some of these caused her to roll her eyes. A sharp intake of breath made her realize that her mental drifting might have backfired a bit. Apparently the teacher thought she wasn't paying attention to their lecture (which she wasn't), and that she was displaying attitude (which she kind of indirectly was...)

"That's it! Detention," the teacher barked. Lovise slunk further into her chair, repressing a conscious eye roll this time. Well if going around mopping up the puddles around the pools would get the teachers to stop harping on her, she'd gladly do it!

Number: #2 Naiad
Personality:

Sharalyn is a very laid back, sweet Naiad who is extremely guilable or so she seems.
She protrays her self as such to learn as much as she can from other races, she wants to see how they see her, what they think of her and her race and how they choose to treat her. Basically she is doing what she loves, reading people. She was told there was a technical term for it but she does not care. All she wants to do is learn about other race's behaviors and what makes each of them act the way they do.

Prompt Reply: -why is this kid in detention? RP them in detention.-

Sharalyn was in trouble not surprising to her, she seems to have a knack for doing just that. All she was doing was forcing a Grimm to act by saying something mean to him just to see his reaction. Unfortunately that Grimm did not take kindly to her taunt and flipped it back on her. Basically making her out to be the experiment and before she realized it she was making a spectacle of herself in front of all who were outside and near the shops by which she was standing.

Trying to think of what to say to get her out of this, the Grimm stood up and stared at her almost daring her to say something else. It was a bit uncomfortable as the Grimm looked almost fully hostile, and suddenly she felt very unsafe. She realized she took this to far and now she was at a loss as how to extricate herself from the situation without causing the Grimm to react either violently or verbally. All she wanted was to back pedal herself out of the Grimm's line of vision, maybe duck into the store behind her. The thought of lounging in the cooling waters of the large fountain relaxed her some but looking at the Grimm raised her hackles again. She hated being the focus of everyone she preferred to be the one observing them not the other way around. Finding her voice she said "Sorry I think it is time for me to take my leave, if you will excuse me I will just go. The Grimm looked at her with a weird look almost one of censure but at the same time the look held some amusement as if taunting her to see what she would do next.

Smiling to herself she realized she may still have the upper hand, so she stepped towards the Grimm not away and stared directly into the Grimm's eyes. Tilting her head a bit she did a half smile half smirk and waited to see what the Grimm would do. Not wanting to fully wait, Sharalyn walked slowly around the Grimm forcing it to turn around in a 360 degree angle to keep her in it's line of sight. Not really paying attention to it's gender she classified all her subjects as it made her observations more interesting when gender was not involved nor was it specified.

The Grimm was suddenly still, watching her warily awaiting her to make a move. Sharalyn was caculating her next move when the Grimm suddenly reached out causing her to jump back and screech. It was sudden and unexpected, lifting her eyes she saw the amusement shining in the Grimm's eyes. "Toying with me is it? Well time to play back"she thought to herself. Walking surely as if not a care in the world she walked towards the Grimm not deviating from her course. The Grimm was unsure of what her intentions were if it's ears were any indication, they were flicking back and forth and laying down alternating. She was about 4 steps away from walking right into the Grimm when suddenly she felt a hand on her arm. Pulling herself free she said without looking "Do not touch me, I am in the middle of something, go busy yourself elsewhere" in a condescending tone. A collective gasp was heard and she realized she did something wrong to draw the attention of all who stood nearby. Slowly turning her head, her heart did a flip flop when she saw a teacher standing directly behind her but off to the side. This was who had touched her and from the look on their face, they were not happy with her reaction.

The teacher raised a eyebrow and gestured for her to accompany them, sighing to herself she gathered her belongings and dutifully followed behind with her head down. Realizing she make a major miscaculation she knew she was to be punished hoping the detention would not last that long. As she neared the door the teacher opened it and motioned her in. Holding up 3 fingers then closed the door. Sharalyn was not happy to be stuck in this closed off room for 3 hours but she knew she could write down all her observations from her interaction with the Grimm and organize the rest of her notes as well in that time since she did not have any school work to do.

Personality: Trisha is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. Sweetest and most forgetful. She is constantly forgetting things and running late. Since she has started going to the academy, she has forgotten her charm numerous times, resulting in her having to leave and get it. Which she usually just takes to long to get back to class in time. She loves he well-like bed, set up to remind her of home. She is usually there, sleeping or just thinking about how homesick she is.

Prompt Reply: Trisha wasn’t really a bad student. Really. She was just in detention because of how forgetful she was. She really could help it! It wasn’t her fault that if she forgot her charm that she wouldn’t feel well enough to head back to class. That was common knowledge to everyone now, so why was she always getting looks from teachers? Then again, if she hadn’t left it in the first places….
This was the first time Trish was here for detention. Some were very surprised that she hadn’t been sent there earlier for just tardiness’s alone. She twiddled her thumbs a bit, eyeing everyone else in the room. They all seemed pretty bored. She wondered if this was all of their first times too. She thought it was a silly reason why they sent her to detention. This wasn’t the first time, nor would it be the last, that she had forgotten to wear her uniform. Her pajamas were just so comfy! She didn’t even mean to wear them. She just kinda would slip one some ones once she was dry. Many times she walked to class soaking wet before a classmate pointed it out. They must have thought she was really weird and she thought that was maybe why she didn’t have many friends. Maybe if she didn’t get up late, her roommates would warn her about the things she so easily forgets. ‘Maybe I could get some sort of memory charm.’ She was lost in thought, pondering how to not end up here again.

Personality: A bit mischievous, and a free spirit. Ephyra loves the water, often taking every opportunity she gets to swim. She resents the fact that her parents sent her to the Academy. She's the closest thing you might get to a racist, and doesn't like to socialize with her peers unless they are Naiads, and only minimally if they are Kirin. She finds the conventional method of education to be grating, and does everything she can to avoid it. She's already failed a few classes, and she doesn't really care.

Prompt Reply: Ephyra struggled through her math homework, a grimace on her face and a pounding just starting to grow louder in her head. Her aquamarine eyes squinted at the page as she moved her mouth, counted numbers on her fingers and scribbled them onto the page. She wrote an answer and threw her pencil down on the desk, folding her arms and leaning back with a frown. There were other students around her, staring into space or trying to focus on something-or-other. Ephyra just hoped she might have been able to go shopping for some new jewelry.

Her plan had seemed succinct, when after swimming class she had slipped back out of the locker room and dove into the water. She knew the pool had a free period after her class, so once the teacher cleared the room she'd be fine. She hugged the wall of the pool and waited several minutes. She was bored, but Ephyra had just dreamed of all the shopping she'd be able to do. She'd written to her parents as if she were a goody-little-two-shoes, telling them about how she was doing much better in classes and trying to make some new friends. They were all lies, of course, but because her parents loved her they had sent her some extra spending money as a "reward." The Naiad wanted to blow it all on the prettiest pearls and golds she could find in the shopping strip near the Academy.

She might have been able to skip class, too, if she had factored in the possibility of the appearance of a janitor when she poked her head out of the water. Unfortunately, janitors had the ability to hand out detention slips, too: mostly for kids they found skipping class. As Ephyra dried off for the second time that day, it was in the presence of a disgruntled administrator, who promptly escorted her to the class she was already late to.

Personality: Confident, Spoiled, Easily Amused

Prompt Reply: The junior Kirin stepped into detention unsure of what to expect. How would the other delinquents treat him? Would they bully him for his "crime" or for being from Above or would they just ignore him? There was only one way to find out so he fell back on his tried and true method of walking with his shoulders squared back and his head held high.

When he saw there were only two other students in the room, he wasn't sure if he was disappointed or relieved. At least there was no chance of being bullied for being from Above, not when a Naiad tipped the numbers into his favor against the Fallen.

He sat down between the winged Nightmare and the aquatic Daydream and waited for his time to end. He intended to spend his time in silence, but the Nightmare leaned over and whispered, "Psst, what're you in for?"

The Kirin ignored them but his seatmate persisted. "Aw c'mon, why're you Daydreams so tight-lipped? Bet it's not as bad as what I did."

He sighed through his nose, wondering what he needed to do to get them off his back. In the end, he looked into the pale-skinned Fallen's eyes and said, "I set some of my Nightmare classmate's skin on fire."

There was a loud squeal of chair legs dragging across as the floor as the Fallen all but jumped to the corner of the room. The Kirin faced straight ahead in satisfaction, and from the corner of his eye noticed the Naiad hadn't so much as flinched.

He tilted his head in curiosity at her, when the Naiad mumbled, "You gave them Fire-Dancers, didn't you?"

The Kirin's brows rose in surprise, "Yes, I did."

"They're really pretty flowers that Dryads say means unyielding passion. Too bad not enough Nightmares know Fire-Dancers can-"

"Also give you a rash that makes your skin feel like it's on fire." His smiled at the Naiad and held his hand out, "I'm Matatag." and when his fellow Daydream hesitated, he laughed. "Don't worry. I washed my hands."

Sheamus McKay is not an unfriendly creature, by no means is that how he intends to come off. However he is not the first to approach someone, he isn't afraid to talk to anyone. He just feels that it isn't his job to pursue them. Perhaps this is because he is the baby in his family, he was always doted on as being such a strong kid. For his race he tended to be on the healthier side of things. In the land of above he was normally a center of attention and it was expected the same in below. As time goes on and he realizes that this is not the case perhaps he will become a little friendlier to the point where he goes out of his way for other people.

Prompt Reply: Sheamus sat in detention, he wasn't really surprised that he was here. He had been expected to give respect to a demon. He was aware that in the below relations had become very buddy-buddy. However he didn't forget the stories told by the elders in his family. So when he walked into Language arts and saw a demon standing there he immediately knew that this wouldn't go well. Now Lyra hadn't asked anything crazy of Sheamus but when she went to pass out papers he refused to take one. "I'd prefer not to touch anything you have." He crossed his arms over his chest refusing to take it. So he wasn't surprised when the teacher wrote him a detention slip. He refused to touch that either. "I'd rather be in detention than sitting here looking at you." Which got him yet another detention, he glared but accepted his fate.

Number: Kirin #3
Personality:

Kimbra was a studious Kirin, she favored learning the intracities of how disease works meaning how it grew how it became to be and how to combat it. Although most of her kind became doctors she preferred to become a medical researcher coming up with treatments for specific diseases hoping one day to eradicate them entirely.

When not studying she preferred to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather just feeling the breeze ripple through her hair. It was relaxing to her, a open meadow with lovely flowers dotting the landscape was a escape for her made her feel free for the lack of a better word.

Although a serious student with her studies and kind to most she meets, the distrust she feels for the Demon race will be difficult to deal with as the year progresses for school. Her race's hatred of this specific race goes back to the war and one that will never fully be eradicated. Kimbra hated this one fault, her hatred of the Demon race. She tried not to let it show as the school will most likely have Demon students. If only she could be like her Father and not show her emotions it would be beneficial.

Prompt Reply: -why is this kid in detention? RP them in detention.-

Kimbra sat at the desk, silently stewing over why and how she ended up here. She was furious! How dare they treat her like she did something wrong when that...that Demon was to blame. She wanted to say exactly what she thought when she was approached by one of the teachers who saw the incident but when she tried to explain what happened the teacher took her immediately to detention. Did not even go to the headmaster, just told her you sit here and you have 2 hours to think about what you did and how you will make amends.

"Make amends?" Oh I will alright just not the was she wants she sneered to herself. She was getting upset the more she thought of what happened.

[Plays scenario over in her mind]

Walking down the hallowed hall on her way to the library, her hooves clicking on the marble floor she took out her notes and began to read over them as the hallway was completely empty. The project she was working on had to do with a illness that suddenly appeared in one of the villages of her race and no one could explain how, why or where it came from. She felt she had to find the answer to help the doctors find a cure and quickly.

Flipping over the notes to read the information she suddenly felt something solid slam into her causing her to bounce back and drop everything in her hands. Looking up she sees a Demon scurrying back down the hall, not a excuse me not a I am sorry nothing. She narrows her eyes, bends down to pick up her belongings and chases after the infuriating Demon who was condescending and refused to apologize to her.

Catching up to the Demon, Kimbra walked around and stood in front of the Demon essentially blocking off their path. "I believe you are forgetting something Demon!" she said with her eyes blazing and her head slightly cocked. The Demon blinked in surprise at Kimbra. With a small smirk the Demon said "I did? and what would that be Kirin? If you are looking for an apology your not getting one your walked into me! You should have been paying attention to where you were hooving instead of having your nose stuck in papers. with that she walked around Kimbral, flicked her tail and proceeded down the hall.

As Kimbra turned to say something else to her, the Demon turned back around and smirked again her tail curling around her before continuing on down the hall. It infuriated Kimbra even more that this Demon would be so rude then again she is a Demon. Chasing after her she was almost to her when the teacher walked out of a room and heard Kimbra call out "You are infuriating Demon, I demand you stop and face me! NOW!". The teacher stepped into Kimbra's path which caused her to skid to a stop and told her you have detention. When Kimbra tried to explain what happened the teacher said I saw and heard it, you will not sway me with your fancy words Kirin. Off to detention now.

Shaking her head as if to remove the memory, she sat and basically doodled on a empty sheet of paper that sat in front of her. Her books were on the next desk but she knew she was to angry to even attempt her studies. She closed her eyes and allowed her mind to drift trying to find a calm.

Personality: Jasper is more than a bit vain and definitely comes off as quite shallow to most who come to know him. He spends a large amount on his time on personal grooming and places appearance as a key factor when making a decision about another person. He is quite competitive, not only wanting to look his best but also mentally wanting to be his best. It's not just appearance that he judges others by, it's also their mental abilities and skills. He certainly has a fair bit of attitude that seems to look down on others frequently.

There is another side to Jasper though, if you get to know him enough to see past his fancy outer shell. He's actually far more insecure than he seems. He works very hard to achieve his looks and his grades, and sometimes he worries if it's enough. His guard is most let down when he's sick. It's rather like being around a small child who needs reassurances that they'll be okay and will recover just fine with some rest. He's a very sweet peacock, you just have to get past the puffery to find it.

Prompt Reply: Jasper was feeling more than a bit miffed at the moment. Detention. They had given him detention! Ridiculous! His grades were always highly ranked and he never missed an assignment, he was extremely punctual and never late for a class, and he spoke to the teachers with a degree of deference perfectly suitable for a student speaking with a teacher! It wasn't his fault that some of the other students had decided to voice opinions on his hair and clothing. Hah, as if any of them knew anything about fashion! They were simply jealous of his beautiful hair, so long and silky, and how the green he wore made the browns and creams of his skin, hair, and fur shine even more brilliantly. One of them had even tried to touch his hair, of all things! He'd instantly swatted the hand away and rebuffed them. Unfortunately a teacher had been walking by and heard him.

But seriously, it was highly rude of someone to just touch another person's hair! And he was not at all ashamed of calling the other student's hands germy, since he was quite certain they had been. A few other choice words had been thrown in, calling out their style failings the way they'd called out his. But apparently, since the teacher only heard Jasper's words, it was Jasper who was a bully and the other students were only victims. No matter how much Jasper tried to point that out though, the teacher just seemed to think he was making things up. As punishment, he had to write apology letters to all his "victims". Ugh, he was starting to really dislike this place.

Personality: Athletic, cheerful, and studious. Estar is a very happy-go-lucky, charismatic kid, making friends everywhere they go. They're a member of the Academy's intramural track team, and with Kirin being naturally speedy, they're very good at what they do. On the other hand, they want to excel in their studies, and perhaps become a doctor so they might help to heal others.

Prompt Reply: Estar was reading a book and taking notes while doing so. It was a literature classic, written by a Chimera author, and they were enjoying it greatly. While the energy of the room was generally heavy, with many students wishing to not be present in detention at all, the Kirin was happy as a clam. The window Estar sat near even had a view of the running track, and a few of their team members occasionally ran by with hands wildly waving. The Kirin gave a small smile back, waving their hand cheerfully. They felt rather relaxed in this situation, and they were glad to be here.

The Kirin had approached Ms. Lyra after Language Arts class today, wringing their hands nervously. "There's a big track meet coming up, so we've had to practice a lot," they told their teacher sheepishly. "I haven't had time to sit down and read the book for next week's paper. I was wondering... could you write me a detention slip so I could get out of practice for the next couple of days, and spend some time in study hall?" Estar was both amazed and incredibly grateful as their teacher acquiesced, handing them their detention slip with a smile.

So now here they were, and would be for the next handful of days. Estar had no complaints, and as they finished yet another chapter of the required reading they thought that tomorrow, they might even bring a snack.

Prompt Reply: Cataria had just gotten her first cell phone, and it opened a whole new world of cat pictures. Cataria had known about cat pictures on the Internet before of course, but being able to get them anywhere, anytime, and show them to anyone was a new super power for the girl. She was supposed to be reading the textbook in history class, something about some war or something, when the book mentioned cats briefly. Cataria was instantly reminded of a picture she had stumbled upon earlier this morning. She had meant to show her friend before class had gotten going, but the idea had slipped her mind. Cataria immediately pulled out her brand new cellular device and nudged the girl sitting next to her. "Hey!" she whispered louder than she should have for the classroom being so quiet. "Look at this" Soon the two girls were "aww"ing and giggling at more than just the one picture Cataria originally had intended to share. The two started at kitten pictures and eventually found their way to cat memes, resulting in a rather loud breakout of giggles. Several students were sidetracked and Cataria's group of students around her phone grew. Once almost half the class was clustered around the girl's desk did the teacher return to a very disturbed class. Cataria tried to plead innocent, but doing so would loose her the cell phone she only just got. Saving her phone, but loosing her afternoon, Cataria took the punishment.

Personality: Cheri Cordial is an easy-going and free-spirited imp. With a natural inclination for trouble and to overthrow authority, it's no wonder she's not very popular at school. At least not with her teachers. Sure there are few who might appreciate her wily independence, but others are fed up with cleaning up after her messes. For her classmates she is regarded as either a nightmare or a hoot. Not a lot of middle ground.

A laidback individual, there's very little that riles Cheri. She tends to take things in stride, with little regard for the consequences. If bad things happen, then bad things happen. It's just a matter of finding a way to make them work for her. Many have called her unmotivated. She lacks ambition and seems to be content getting by with minimal effort.

In her free-time (usually during school hours), she likes to play at arcades, go shopping, and bake. Her favourite place to visit is the beach, and while a fair distance from the school, she has been known to skip school for days at a time to go party. At such times she tends to pass herself off as older than she is. Even if she doesn't leave school grounds, Cheri is usually skipping class, hanging out on the roof.

Prompt Reply:
“Cheri, please move up to the front of the class. And spit out that gum.

Staring at this week’s rehabilitator from behind a thick veil of bangs, Cheri blew one last rebellious bubble. It grew to the size of her head before popping, thereafter she tucked it back in her mouth. Grabbing her bag, Cheri slid out of her seat and sauntered up to the front of the room. Wordlessly, she deposited her things across a desk up near the front. The various keychains and knickknacks she had attached to it landed with a clatter. She began to sit.

“The gum, Cheri,” her teacher reminded her. A chorus of titters from around the classroom followed. Cheri rolled her eyes. “And don’t roll your eyes at me. I know you think I can’t tell, but I can.”

“I’m not rolling my eyes,” Cheri replied with a grin, rolling her eyes again. She blew some of the hair out of her face and winked back at her fellow prisoners. No one laughed, but many of them were suppressing grins.

“The gum,” the teacher repeated. “Last warning, or you’ll be in here next week too.”

Turning back to him, Cheri obliged… in a manner of speaking. She made a great show of swallowing and then opened her mouth wide and stuck out her tongue. “Bleeeeeh,” she vocalised. That earned a laugh from the back of the room.

Her teacher only scowled in response however. “Lift up your tongue,” he instructed. Cheri did so. Leaning in, but not getting too close, he inspected her mouth. His nose wrinkled as his frown deepened. He let out a sigh and stood up straight. “Very well. Go ahead and take your seat.”

Gum tucked safely up between her teeth and her cheek, Cheri plopped down into her chair. Kicking out her feet so that they extended beyond her desk, she leaned back and pulled her bag into her lap. She spent a few minutes rifling through its contents, idly looking for something to do. A clatter of glass reminded her that she still had her alchemy homework to work on.

Yeah, right. Like she was gonna do homework.

She glanced up. Her teacher had returned to his desk, and aside from an occasional glance around the room, seemed preoccupied with grading papers. Cheri raised her hand up into the air. He failed to notice. She waved it around a bit.

At last, “Sir.

He looked up, expression cross. “Yes, Cheri?”

“I have to use the bathroom,” she said.

“You can go after you’ve finished your detention.”

“But I’ve got a stomach ache,” she protested.

“And that’s why you should have spit out that gum when I told you to instead of swallowing it,” he said. Then, ignoring her as her hand shot into the air again, he returned to grading.

Cheri frowned. She should have expected as much. Still, such a fierce rebuttal. Her other teachers must have informed him of her tendency to skip class. That was usually the reason she sat in detention anyway. This particular sentence however had been assigned for… poor behaviour during class and inappropriate use of classroom materials. She glanced back at her bag. An idea sparked. She would show them what inappropriate use of classroom materials really looked like.

Grabbing the vials and a lighter from her bag, she proceeded to swap a few of the contents between them. It would have to be something simple unfortunately, due to lack of materials, but she had just enough to make it work. When at last she had a yellowish green fluid in one of the flasks, she raised her hand again. She would give him one more chance.

No,” he said, without looking up.

“But I…”

“No.”

Cheri took in a deep breath. Beneath her desk, she gave the flask a quick shake. The liquid within turned thick. Before it solidified completely she popped open the cork and held it above her desk with the lighter just underneath. “Oh, no...” she drawled in a plaintive voice. “I think I’m gonna… urk!” She flicked the stone to ignite the flame. For a brief moment the flask glowed green. Behind her, she could hear the shuffling of chairs, presumably as students ducked beneath their desks. She tilted the mouth of the flask towards the front of the room.

BANG!

One moment the classroom had been clean and relatively orderly, and the next the blackboard dripped with discoloured sludge, while her teacher resembled a melting wax figure. Her classmates were in an uproar. “I’m so sorry!” Cheri gasped over the groans and hoots of laughter. “There must have been something funny about that gum. You were right after all! I’m feeling much better though.”

By the time she finished, the teacher seemed to have recovered his wits. “Office! Now!” he barked. He tried to rise, but was stuck fast. She could see him straining to pull from the desk.

“Yes, sir!” Cheri said, jumping to her feet. Grabbing her bag, she strolled to the door. She had hardly touched the handle when she heard the teacher call out again.

“Stop right there!” he said, trying in vain to get break free from his chair. “You’re not leaving without supervision.”

Cheri turned, beaming. “You look a little… superglued at the moment, so I’ll just see myself out. Bye~!” Blowing him a kiss, she pulled open the door and skipped out. Just before it closed again, she heard the hapless teacher threatening the other students.

“If any one of you dares follow her, it’ll be detention for…”

The door clicked shut. Smiling, Cheri pulled the gum with her tongue out of her cheek, and started down the hall. Skipping detention and misbehaving. Today was a good day.

Personality: Raimunde is a giant prankster. All of life is a game, and most people take it way too seriously in her opinion. While she normally takes a very lackadaisical approach to everything, she is very loyal to her friends and takes any affront to them very seriously.

Prompt Reply: Raimunde rolled her eyes. Dentention. Again. It was probably the third (fourth?) time this week. She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. Really, everyone here needed to lighten up a little bit. She hadn’t hurt anyone and basically everyone thought it was funny. Okay, so some people didn’t, but really. She leaned back in her chair. Nobody had even thought about how much work she had put into it. It was a stroke of genius if they had thought about it. This took math. A lot of math. Budgeting too. It wasn’t cheap, she had to save all her spending money for weeks! And it wasn’t as if this was a plan she could have done by herself- this required the help of several friends. It was like a group project, when you thought about it. If they thought about it, they would see it. They really should be giving her some extra credits instead of punishing her.

So, the swimming pool was now filled with cherry jello (the best and only acceptable kind) and whipped cream. It was funny! Everyone can have dessert, it will be cleaned up no problem! She wouldn’t even mind overseeing the cleanup, she could get it done in no time flat! Her friends all thought it was great at the time, but they all didn’t seem to be willing to share the blame with her. Oh well, this was a great time for her to start thinking up her next big joke. Maybe this time she could go without being caught.

Personality: Skeena is slightly defiant, but also rarely talks. They've grown to have a problem with authority and can be pretty lazy about doing their homework. They would much prefer doing things they want to do than being stuck in a room with other students. Because of this they have a hard time finding any real friends, most people finding them kind of difficult to work with. However, despite this, Skeena is actually very smart, which is one of the reasons they hate school, though they tend to hide this from everyone. They are also a wiz at the drums, and loves music more than anything else. They will spend hours upon hours practicing and playing and tends to always have a song in their heart.

(Skeena is actually a type of cherry, I thought that would be cute for their name.)

Prompt Reply:

The day had already been rather long. The teacher had been furious with them, yelling at them yet again for refusing to do their homework for the 4th time this week. Honestly, they could really care less, homework was a waste of time. The teacher threatened the wrath of Ava if they continued to refuse after this, but what did it really matter? If Skeena had a choice they'd just drop out. Everyone would probably be happier if they weren't here anyway. Well, everyone but their band members, which was the only reason they had decided to stay in the Academy in the first place. Band was life, and had it not been for the school they never would have met their band. They were also sure that Pandora would have their head if they missed another band practice for detention, not that they could blame her in the least. The band could not go on with even one member down, they were a unit.

It was in that moment that Skeena sighed. They didn't really want to be here anymore than at a class. "This really blows." They mumbled incoherently under their breath and shifted in their seat, getting a stern eye from the teacher who was overseeing detention today.

On one hand, they could ditch. There wouldn't be much the teacher could do about it other than suspend them, and a part of Skeena welcomed that. To get away from this stuffy school would be awesome. However, the image of Pandora's disapproving face made Skeena stop. Could they lose the band if they left? Did they want to risk it? Yeah, they were sure they could find another band, but their band was their family, through and through. In the end they really didn't want to disappoint the people that meant the most to them. They grunted to themself disapprovingly. Fine. They'd stay and wait this out like they were told, but not for the teachers, Man, only for their band.

Pristine or Pris as she would be called, is what you may call an instigator. Outwardly she looks innocent, she handles herself as a little angel. It is secretly that she causes trouble. Pris knows who the loud kids are and she uses that against them. She enjoys starting trouble and never being the focus of the wrath. She playfully calls herself the "eye of the storm".

Prompt Reply: "So why are you here?" the kid next to her leaned over and whispered to her. She shrugged and looked down to the ground as if she didn't belong there. It was all really funny, not that she would ever admit to anyone but her prank might have gone too far.

--One morning before school she talked to one of the boys in her class. "Bet you won't pull the fire alarm, only the really cool kids do it." She knew how desperately this new boy wanted to be part of the "cool kids". "I will too!" he insisted "I can do anything that I want." To this Pris gave a wicked smile and shurgged."I don't think you are cool enough."

Later that day when the fire alarm rang Pris gave a wicked laugh knowing how much trouble this kid would be in. He might even get thrown out of academy. HOWEVER she did not expect him to tattle on her. They NEVER tattled on her, luckily she didn't get in too much trouble. Just detention for a week. She supposed there were worse things.--

Personality: Anne Marie is one of those bubble gum and curls, sweet disposition and energetic nature kind of girls. If she sees an opportunity to be helpful, she takes it. She'll approach pretty much anyway with a friendly smile and cheerful words. She doesn't necessarily target out kids who might be shy or reclusive, it's more about whether or not they look like they could use someone to talk to or help them out. She's quite considerate and very much a team player, always making sure people are doing okay and lending a hand if they need help.

Anne Marie has a enormous sense of responsibility. When entrusted with something, be it homework, learning something new, a particular task, caring for a familiar, etc., she undertakes it with a dogged determination not to fail. Her sense of responsibility goes beyond just herself though. In a way, she feels responsible for everyone around her. If a freshling is crying, it's her responsibility to find out why. If she sees a wrong-doing, it's her responsibility to try to right it somehow. While it might give her a reputation as a busybody, to Anne Marie it's very personal. What kind of person would she be if she just walked by and never did anything? Shrug, say it was none of her business, or that she couldn't do anything about it? But what if she could have made a difference, and just didn't because she was too lazy or selfish? These kinds of thoughts are constantly on Anne Marie's mind and drive much of her actions. She takes failure a bit hard, though with time she'll learn that she can't do everything, and that sometimes taking the blame from someone else for herself might be doing the person more of a disservice than helping them.

Prompt Reply: Anne Marie paused to wipe a bead of sweat off her forehead. In one hand she clutched a mop, the end of which was planted in a wheeled bucket full of hot water that smelled strongly of citrus. She paused to look back up the hallway which she'd been assigned to clean up. The sight of the shiny tile gave her a bit of a sense of pride. It was a vast improvement from how it had looked earlier, covered in milk that left feet and paws sticking unpleasantly.

Now, Anne Marie wasn't directly involved in the creation of the mess. So why was she the one holding the mop bucket? Unfortunately, some of her friends had very bad ideas of what counted as humor. One of them was hoping to rig a spill bucket over another friend, because apparently drenching friends with milk was hilarious? Anne Marie had followed, trying to convince them it wasn't a good idea. Predictably the magic they used to try to set the bucket failed (they were only juniors after all, still learning) and the bucket came crashing down. Her friend had fled, but Anne Marie had stayed. She'd shouldered the blame, and while the teachers looked askance and suspicious (she wasn't at all known for causing trouble), they'd handed down a punishment to her. She was to clean the mess she'd made today, then tomorrow her free time was to go to helping the school cooks with drudge work for having taken the milk.

Anne Marie didn't mind too much. For one thing, this particular friend got in trouble so much on their own that one more offense might well get them into something serious. For another, in a weird way, she felt like it was her fault. If she'd just been more convincing, stood up a bit more to her friend, them maybe she could have dissuaded them from even attempting the prank in the first place. After all she'd known about it, so in her mind that made her partially responsible for it. The friend in question had stopped by briefly, apologizing profusely for getting Anne Marie in trouble and determined to make it up to her. Hopefully the fright would help put them on the proper path!

Well, if it did then this would all be worth it. Anne Marie tucked her loose bangs behind her ears then went back to her task. One more change of water and the floor should be nice and clean with no sticky spots to trap unwary paws or feet!

Personality: Harley grew up with two very loving parents who always showered her in attention and thought she was the apple of their eyes. As such she's turned into a bit of a rebel, to her it felt like her parents were smothering her and now she lashes out. Harley is extremely enthusiastic about the things she enjoys, mainly things like graffiti and just doing things that more likely than not would get her in trouble. The Fallen is also incredibly imaginative and creative, she looks at her graffiti as art and always strives to produce amazing images. On the negative side she's very stubborn and in her mind she's always the right one, no one in above or below could ever get her to change her mind.

Prompt Reply: How many detentions had she managed to get this week, now? It almost felt like nowadays she was spending more time in detention then in her actual classes. Probably because she regularly skipped classes, but still. Harley sat in the desk that she had claimed by etching her name into it, leaning back in her chair with her legs up on the desk. Detention was starting to be amusing to her, sometimes she'd see kids that were upset about being there and other times she saw kids like herself that owned up to it and regretted nothing. Those were the kids that she'd seek out after and talk them into committing destructive acts with her. In a way, she was beginning to create a tiny gang of social outcasts and it was truly a beautiful thing.

As the teacher in charge of detention came in she blew a big bubble with the gum she was chewing. It made a loud 'pop' which caught the teacher's attention. "Ah Harley, back again, I see. You know that you're not allowed to chew gum in detention" The fallen rolled her eyes and continued chewing. "Whatcha gonna do, teach? Are you gonna stick your hands in my mouth to get it out? 'Cause I'm not gettin' rid of it." She blew another large bubble, popping it on purpose to create a louder sound. After a few minutes of back and forth arguing the teacher finally gave up, Harley had won and she wasn't modest about it. She sat there with a content grin on her face, chewing her bubble gum.

The teacher sighed before walking back and forth across the room, eyeing the students. "The principal has decided to give you kids an assignment, you are all to write an essay about what landed you in here and what you can do to avoid coming back" Harley snickered under her breath, yeah right, detention should be her middle name at this point. She figured she'd throw the teacher a bone on this one and write some crap out. Harley chewed on the eraser of her pencil for a minute, thinking of the best way to describe why she was in detention this time.

Once again I'm in my home away from home because of...well quiet a few reasons. A few days ago I was busted for some graffiti, I drew a cartoonized picture of the principals face with some not so pleasant words. Honestly, I'd say that was probably my best work so far. I managed to snap a few pictures of it so I'll be able to put it in my portfolio! So I was caught for that. They let me go though, some students just need a little bit of...persuasion. Basically, if you're dumb enough to not figure it out, I scared them into not saying anything. If I'm not wrong what really got me in here was that I threw an apple at the history teacher's head.

She remembered it like it was yesterday. Oh wait. It really had happened yesterday. She was a little bit late for a class that she still wasn't sure if she was actually going to go to when he came out of the classroom. He looked so pissed and she just stood in the middle of the hallway with her usual smug look. Some words were exchanged between them and when he turned around, she quickly grabbed the apple her mother packed her out of her backpack and chucked it at the teacher's head. Nailed it. Dead in the back of the head.

Personality: This girl doesn’t play games. Even though her name is Luz, she always wants to win. She can be a poor sport at times of loss, but will try to suck it up and congratulate the winning party. She loves to be in the action and won’t take anyone trying to put her or her friends down. Her friends would describe her as aggressive, but she would just say that she’s just eager. She is very much an extrovert and loves to get her hands into everything she can. Luz wants more out of life than just being in school but she doesn’t quite know what she wants to do with herself.

Prompt Reply: This wasn’t the first time Luz had been in detention. It probably wouldn’t be her last. She sighed, bored out her mind wishing she was anywhere but there. She looked around at the other five kids gathered there and wondered what their story was.
Her on the other hand was the typical, ‘These people weren’t nice to my friends so I’m going to make them pay.’ She had been tripping up a couple of the kids who she had seen sneering and laughing at her friends. Well, it started as tripping. Then she moved on to following them and taking down their every move. They reported her before she could do anything too crazy. She sighed, “I was only gonna over salt their food…” The last things she had done were petty in the same regard and she was a regular reoccurring character here. She had been in there two weeks prior for shoving a kid who was mean to here every time she saw them. The funny thing is, this time her friends said that they weren’t even being bullies, she was. She scoffed to herself. 'I'm not a bully.' She thought in the forced silence. Or maybe she was. She didn't think she was doing more than just protecting her friends but this time they seemed alright. She needed to stick together with her fallen brethren and make sure they stick up for themselves and if they weren't going to do it, she was going to help them out and that wasn't going to change anytime soon.

Personality: Harlequin is strong, outgoing and intensely loyal; she develops connections with people and does not break those connections no matter what. She has an outgoing and offbeat sense of humor, and can be a little zany sometimes. Harlequin is extremely intelligent and imaginative and sometimes she uses this traits for nefarious purposes (pranks). She is also driven strongly by her emotions, so be prepared for a prank if you hurt her feelings.

Prompt Reply: Quin was still grinning while she got escorted into the detention room by one of the teachers. Man, that had been one awesome prank! And she'd gotten most of the school involved with it this time. Harlequin pulled up a chair and, after the teacher scolded her and left, she looked around to get a glimpse of her fellow delinquents. A lot of the new races were here...maybe they didn't know how to behave at the academy since they didn't know the rules? Or, maybe, they were like her and walked right over the rules on occasion.

Like today. It had been sheer dumb luck when she had happened across some untamed kidden. A few treats and some carrying bags later, she had caught three of them. They were good and riled too, since they were not happy to be placed into dark bags and carried halfway across campus. Quin had briefly thought about putting the kidden in the lab, but she didn't want the familiars hurt in any way. There was just too many glass pieces and sharp instruments in the lab. So she decided on the cafeteria.

Wings fluttering in excitement, Quin walked into the cafeteria during lunch and upturned the bags. Free but highly confused, the three kidden jumped everywhere, splashing food, bumping into students, and generally causing mass mayhem as they ran amok. It was a good fifteen minutes before the menaces were caught, and Quin watched it all, holding onto a wall for support as she laughed so hard she could barely catch her breath. The look on everyone's face when lunch turned into a second War was just too priceless.

One of the students had seen her let the kidden out of the bags and ratted her out once the din had died down. Not that Quin minded...she didn't want anyone else taking credit for such a well deployed attack. She'd immediately gotten detention for a week...but oh, was it worth it. It was, by far, the best prank she'd pulled to date and it was totally going in her scrapbook.

Prompt Reply:

Lyra's heart pounded. She was a good girl, she should not be here. This was where bad kids went. The junior had tears in her eyes. It just wasn't fair. She fidgeted with her hair, trying to arrange it to cover one side of her face as best she could. Lyra had never gotten detention before, and the reason was just so unfair. The girl unconsciously felt the swollen pimple above her right eyebrow and then nervously looked at the other students in detention. She prayed that no one would notice her. For the first time in her life, Lyra wished she did not have such a bright color scheme. If only she was just grey, and could fade into the shadows.

It was embarrassing, to both be sent to detention for refusing to take off her hat, and then having the hat seized anyway and her shame open to the world. The fallen desperately focused on trying to make her bangs grow faster, that was her only option. She looked down at her outfit, maybe she could slip off her sock and use it as a headband. Having a sock headband was far less embarrassing then being cough with a pimple. No, Lyra thought to herself, they would probably make her take that off too.

Lyra defensibly curled her wings around herself to hide as she fought the tears back. She was sure she was the only one with problems like this. All the other students seemed so sure of themselves. Lyra was sure that everyone would only remember her for the swollen red zit on her face. Her life was ruined. A tear escaped and slid down her nose. And now she was crying in detention. This had to be the worst day of her life.

Personality: Styx lacks focus, especially in situations that have him sitting still. He likes to learn new things and start new projects, but if he stays on the same subject too long he becomes bored. He tends to not be too organized, both in his out of school life (lives in a clutter filled dorm), and in his school life (tends to just jump into projects without being prepared). He's also very extroverted, greeting his friends with enthusiasm and always ready to have fun.

Prompt Reply:
Styx looked around the detention room and sighed to himself. Here he was again. He seemed to always be getting himself in trouble. He also seemed to be the only freshling this time, though, and he didn't know where to sit. There were a couple of the new races...an Imp? and a Fallen. There was a Kirin too, but once Styx saw a couple of other Niads in the room, he went to sit by them, feeling more comfortable with others of his race rather than the newer races of the academy. The freshling got a smile from one of the other Niads and they asked what he was in detention for.

Styx smiled back before looking remorseful. “I was being disruptive in class.” Again. But they were going over the same material for the third day in a row. It wasn't his fault that the other kids didn't understand the lesson. It wasn't his fault that he didn't get to move on before he'd lost complete interest. He'd tried, he really did, but Styx figured tuning out for a little bit would be fine. “We've been learning about contractions in English class. But we've been learning about them forever because there are two kids in the class that still don't understand. I was bored, so I took Eclipse,” He held up his plush for the other Niads to see, “and had him go on an adventure.”

The first part of the 'adventure' had been fine...and silent. A couple dances around his desk while the plush was exploring for treasure. It was when he'd had Eclipse fly that everything went downhill. “He was escaping from bad guys, see? So he started to fly away.” Styx swung Eclipse into the air and made a loud whooshing sound. “...And then I forgot I was in class, hopped out of my chair and flew Eclipse around the room.”

As demonstration, Styx got up and whooshed around his chair, causing the other Niads to laugh at his antics. Styx grinned back, at least someone liked his actions. “It was a super fun adventure...until I ran into the teacher. Maaaaaan they were mad and they gave me a detention slip. So here I am.” Styx plunked Eclipse back down and climbed back into his chair. He hoped he didn't have to be in detention too long. Normally the place was boring, boring, boring, and he didn't need to get in more trouble by causing a scene again. Maybe talking quietly to the other Niads would keep him out of trouble? He hoped so. "So, how come you're in here?"

Personality: Loud and outgoing!

Prompt Reply: She was in detention, but that didn't stop her. "Hey! Who are you? Im Cylm! I shouldn't be here tho!" the child complained loudly. "I was just telling my friend about my weekend plans! Whats so wrong about that?! Isent that what school is for?! To let kids learn and stuff? Well i was teaching my buddy what a real weekend full of fun is like!" The child crossed her arms defensibly. "Like, do we really have to only learn math in math class? I think math class should include other stuff, like weekend fun, since, you know, there isent a class on that topic! Its crazy right!? Not even one class on weekend fun!" The child finally sat down in her chair like she was supposed to. "Fine! Ill sit, ill sit. But im not going to be quiet. This is an outrage! Once i get out of here im going to make sure to have so much fun, you don't even know! Also, why does the teacher get to do all the talking during classes?! Im always told 'take turns' and 'sharing is caring' but that teacher never shares the front of the class with me! I like talking! I wanna be up front! I think its only fair that she sit down in a desk and I get to go up front!" The child slumped down in her chair, finally feeling the defeat of detention and mumbled to herself quietly. "I think she should be in detention, not me..."

Personality: Kalani is a somewhat mischievous child. He loves pulling pranks from the water, usually sneaking up unseen under the surface to splash or surprise those outside the water, or pulling on the tails of those under the water with him. He doesn't mean any harm, his intention purely for fun, but sometimes he doesn't think through what might be actually funny and what might be a bit more annoying or unappreciated.

When you can get him to be more serious, Kalani shows that he's a hard worker with plenty of determination. He likes being useful, and while he doesn't use forethought as often as he probably should he's also not one to make excuses when his actions ruffle a few tempers. He's a cheerful and perky sort that most find hard to stay mad at, while generally unrepentant, when he crosses too far over a line he does become genuinely apologetic.

Prompt Reply:Kalani waited for the swim teacher to notice him, papers clutched in his hands and folded as nicely as he could manage. It was the apology letter he'd been assigned to write for the first part of his detention. The second part was to help the swim teacher with classes, mostly observing and helping to clean up between the classes whenever Kalani didn't have classes of his own. He didn't protest it. In fact his lower lip would still quiver slightly when he thought about the other day. He had no idea the other freshling didn't know how to swim yet, hadn't really thought about the addition of fur making it harder. Swimming was pretty much instinctual for his race, and having to actually learn how to swim was a foreign concept to him. He'd just been playing when he pushed the other freshling in the pool, honestly! He'd done it before, back home with his friends. One of his favorite games was actually being tossed into the pool, because it was like swimming through the air for a second and it was great fun to try to make a stylish entrance into the water. Thankfully there was the teacher and another class of older, experienced students, so the freshling Kalani had pushed was quickly rescued. Kalani himself was dreadfully upset when he learned just what he had done, and had almost started bawling right then and there on the spot with how upset he was. He'd taken extra care with his apology letter, hoping the other student could forgive him. When the teacher finally spotted Kalani they took the letter from him to set aside for later, then took him over to help fold some clean towels. No one really wanted to take Kalani out of the class. He was still young, and it really was just an accident. Having chores instead of free time was his punishment, and hopefully he'd learn more about the swimming methods of nonaquatics in the process.
