So he wanted to be a healer to help. Onas leaned forward and watched the other before a smirk came to his lips. He sat down as well, getting his hair wet all over again and shuddering. It was warm and he really didn't enjoy feeling the water evaporating off his skin. "I'm leaning more toward spear. Lighter, I can move faster with it.." Yellow eyes watched Tera and he let out a little sigh. He leaned forward and put his face in the water to get it wet this time and then rubbed his nose. "Stamina... It isn't something I have an over abundance of. I ...do have a lot of stamina, actually, but eh. I'd rather wield something lighter. Maybe move up the ranks with a spear. ...That and it'd help me get food in tough situations." Onas nodded at the reassuring words and he looked up again. "Mm. It's not easy."

Tera gave a thoughtful sound as his new friend spoke of using a spear, that it was lighter weight then a sword, that he could move faster with it, "That does sound like it would be useful. It would have a lot of reach on a sword too, wouldn't it?" It sounded to him that it would be rather useful in a fight or while out hunting. He couldn't say for certain of course since he had never used a spear, that was just what it seemed like that would be the case. Leaning back in the shallow water Tera said, "I am sure that you will pick the right path in the end." Tera had done so, even if it had been a bit on the stressful side, with him nearly going down the wrong path. Onas should be alright though... unless he had the same issues that Tera had. A thought that had him glancing over at Onas in a curious manner before he asked, "Do you know anyone that has swords and spears on hand? So that you'd be able to test them out?"

Onas gave a slow shrug at the question about the sword. There was no doubt about it. It would have a lot of reach on a sword and be useful in long rage if thrown and close combat if you can use it like a staff. The Matori gave a lazy sort of grin and just continued to soak himself in the water. "No. I don't know many at all, actually. I just sort of wandered from home and kept to myself." He looked at Tera with a helplessly boyish look. "Eheh. I'll find someone and figure it out. I've still got plenty of time, don't I?" He was apparently a pretty optimistic guy. "Do you know anyone like that I could talk to? Use a little name drop.."

Tera gave a thoughtful sound, his fin ears giving a little twitch, before he said, "I... don't get out much so I don't know a lot of people." He hated admitting it because it made him sound weird, but in this case he couldn't very well pretend to know people now could he? After a moment more of thought he added, "If you run across someone named Ashta he uses two swords, though I am not certain if that would help you." Other then that he couldn't really think of someone that might be able to help him out, which was a shame. He'd like to be able to help more. Leaning back in the water Tera allowed himself to sink under for a moment, wanting to get completely soaked from head to toe, finding that it was a lot cooler under the water then it was above it. After a moment though he surfaced again, glancing around, seeking out the sun in the sky. The position of it told him all that he needed to know, that being that he should be getting home soon. If he was out too late then people would learn he was sneaking out again. Not something that would go over well the voice in the back of his head so helpfully reminded him. Giving a humming sound he said, "It's starting to get a bit late, isn't it?" Someone was bound to notice sooner or later that he was gone. As such he had to decide if he should bother to run home when he might already be late or if he'd rather hang out a while longer since he was probably already going to get an earful.

Onas pushed one hand through his hair again and watched Tera's fins wiggle. He wiggled his own before grinning playfully and then the talking happened and the other Matori nodded. He understood not getting out a lot. Onas only recently did that. It couldn't be that hard to find someone to teach him swordsmanship or how to wield a spear. He just had to keep a close eye on people, check out their weapons for once in his life. As Tera leaned back in the water, Onas did something similar but he went all the way under. He took a deep breath as he surfaced, ear fins wiggling, getting water off of them and then moved closer to Tera. He was nice. "Mm.. Yeah, it is," he said, looking up at the dimming sky. "I suppose we should part ways. I'll be around for a while, if you want to meet up again. Going to try to find myself a teacher and see if I can't get my hands on a staff to practice with." He winked a little and then stood up, offering a hand to the other.

The voice in Tera's head was only too happy to point out that meeting this one again wasn't such a bad idea... better then meeting with 'the idiot' again. It was one of those things that Tera knew to be true but that didn't mean that he didn't want to meet with his friend again in the future if it became possible. Having a friend like Onas though, that was a rather nice prospect. He seemed like a nice guy, was easy to talk to, and wasn't at all intimidating in a manner that would put Tera on edge. He was a good person to look at as a friend. Reaching up he took the hand that was offered to him, pulling himself up out of the water, shifting a bit on his feet, then laughed, "Gotta get used to being on dry land again." He admitted, finding that once he'd left the water he felt a bit heavier. It made him almost want to return to the water again, but at the same time he knew he had to get going home or else he'd be missed. The last thing he wanted was his mother throwing a fit because he'd wandered off alone and stayed out really late. "It was really nice hanging out with you, Onas. I hope that we are able to do so again." Tera said, giving him a sincere smile.

Onas just grinned a bit when his hand was actually taken. He helped the other Matori out of the water and then nodded a little more. "Isn't it the worst?" He huffed, taking his hair and pulled it over his shoulder. He rung out the braids and just shrugged a little more. "Being dry for the long periods of time is honestly bad for my skin." Yes, Onas was pretty sure he sounded like a girl right now, but dry skin that hurt when you moved was really bad. Either way, the two made their way to the shore and Klaas felt sand sticking to him everywhere all over again. He'd take a bath later today. That'd help him out. "It was nice to meet you too. I'll be back tomorrow around noon or so." Definitely after a good lunch and sleep. He stretched himself out one more time and just gathered his stuff. "For now, I bid you a good night." With a flirtatious wink, Onas shuffled toward the road, dripping wet and just headed for the nearest town.

Tera watched Onas go for a time, a bit of a smile on his face, before he reached up and started to squeeze the excess water out of his hair. He really should be heading back, huh? A thought that had him sighing a little before he turned and started toward where he left his things. As much as he preferred this little outing to being stifled at home he would have to deal with this he thought to himself, at least until he felt that he was ready to actually venture out on his own. Not the best option at the moment, not until he had a better grasp on his magic. At least then he'd be able to offer healing for coin as a means to support himself. This thought in mind he scooped his bag up, putting it over his shoulder, before he started toward home. Best that he got back, had some dinner, then saw about more magic practice. The sooner he got his magic honed the better he thought to himself. After one last glance in the direction his new friend had gone Tera was hurrying back toward home.
