His hand brushed back the little hairs that stuck to his forehead, unbothered by her being sick and more concerned of her health. Stress was not something she needed, and in the back of his mind he heard his mother scold him for letting her become this way. She would be smacking him about, considering it was hard to conceive during stressful times.

"I know we wanted to do this, but we have time. You should rest if you are feeling stressed, we can always reschedule." he scolded softly, before turning to look at Taria who was lingering. As she spoke, his brow furrowed and he frowned lightly as his brain stuttered and stopped.

Pregnant.

They had been trying, but not for long. And his mother kept pushing but he had to admit he was new to the whole process and just was overwhelmed by the tips and suggestions so he just...didn't worry about it. They were aware of the chances but weren't working hard to accomplish it, so he didn't expect...this.

His face paled a bit and he leaned back to sit hard, glancing at Aseara without any words. As she confirmed it, he swallowed once and blinked with wide eyes. He couldn't find an answer and so he just continued to blink, before finally he let out a rough chuckle.

"Mother is going to have a Perzi when she finds out." He finally stated, but his hand darted out to hold, and squeeze, hers, and his eyes suspiciously got a bit glassy as he took a breath and smiled.

“No no, no rescheduling!” Who knew how long it would take before they found the perfect home? No, they needed to do this now while they were here especially since Nuri had thought that this house had been a good bet for them. He’d said so himself, all his eggs were in this basket. IF Nuri thought this was a good house for them then Aseara would not argue the fact. “I trust you,” she returned a gentle squeeze of her own. “If you say this house is good for us, then we’re taking it.”

There was no more time to be wasted at this point.

Aseara moved to be in front of Nuri, she gently grasped his cheeks in both hands and smiled at him. “Yes she is.” If Nuri cried that was it, Aseara was going to cry too. She knew they were happy tears but she wouldn’t be able to hold them back. “So what do you say?”

Now that the initial shock had worn off, the excitement and happiness was starting to make her feel all tingly albeit still a little sick. There was so much more preparation that she was going to have to do and then there was seeing a midwife and a doctor. Technically the least of her worries were Nuri’s mother, she was more so worried that with children Nuri’s father would never forgive Nuri. Or perhaps grandchildren would be exactly what he needed. Thankfully, she could push that stress out of the way for now. She didn’t exactly want to go over family drama in the presence of a stranger.

His throat was still dry as she spoke, and it felt a bit surreal to feel her hands on his cheeks as he looked into her bright blue eyes. He just continued to blink a bit, noticing in the background that their guide was clucking a bit as she wandered off, saying she'd give them space. Moving his hands up to gently wrap around her wrists, his thumbs brushed against where he could feel her racing pulse as he took one last deep breath.

"This feels right. It's close to the Red, which I know is important, and has space for a family and for any familiars I may bring home..." It was easy to focus on the house, and not the startling news, and he licked his dry lips before continuing with confidence, "I think, out of all the places, this one seems the best fit for us. What do you think?"

Aseara was starting to worry, Nuri seemed happy but he also seemed to be in complete shock. Hopefully, it would wear off soon and then they could celebrate.

“Plus I took some time off and I don’t plan on being sick the whole time.” She didn’t care, she wasn’t going back home to sit in bed while waiting for a doctor to come check on her and confirm the pregnancy. Perhaps this woman was wrong and she was just sick, so it never hurt to just make sure everything was okay. “I want to spend the day with you.” Nuri wouldn’t be able to dissuade her at this point.

“So let’s take this house.” No use visiting a bunch of houses this one was perfect. “We’re on a timer now.” As happy as Aseara was, she was still stressing and a ticking clock was only added to that. “I think we should just finish the tour first, I’d still like to see our new home.” She chuckled softly. “If you can manage.” She teased him lightly. She didn’t think she would be sick again so that was always a positive thing.

["I can manage." He responded swiftly, before moving to stand and helping her up as well. If she wanted to spend the day together, he wouldn't deny her the treat. Plus, he needed to settle his nerves and actually talk about what a pregnancy might mean. They had a lot more to consider now that children were a possibility, and not just a dream, which meant planning, arranging, and just settling into becoming parents.

"Let's let Taria know that we wish to settle things, and then we can find a nice shaded restaurant to celebrate."

Smiling, this time with ease, he moved close to her and left a kiss on her brow, leading her back away from the restroom and toward the home owner to confirm the details so they could become home owners. Today was the beginning of the rest of their life, and he wanted to celebrate and spend as much time as he could alone with Aseara.
