Gasping in a deep breath and forcing it out, Thisbe scrambled to her feet. She cast one glance over her shoulder at the stunned officer before taking off. He could chase after her if he wanted, but she would at least get a head start while he was reeling. If anything, her magic was good for that.
She would make a mental note to herself for next time that she
really needed to stop spending time patrolling alone. It wasn't worth the risk of getting hit just to get close enough to use her magic so she could run away. Not worth it at all...
