"I told you!" Hadaya purred with delight, rubbing against her enthusiastically. "It's magic!"
He was so happy to see a new senshi, and hoped this made up for the whole 'throwing them out of a tree' thing. If not, he was still proud of being able to awaken her, and hoped that, in time, she would forgive him! She had a lot to learn, after all, and he wanted to help!
They just could avoid anything above ground level, and it would be fine.
"You're a SenshI! Someone that protects people from a very bad thing that keeps this city in trouble all the time. Chaos. The bad guys. There's a lot of them, but there's also a lot of us! Together, we can beat them one day! But for now, we just have to make sure they don't keep hurting people. I'm Hadaya! A guardian cat! It's my job to help you, now that you've been awakened! Well. Not just my job. Like I said, there's a lot of us!"
Okay so he wasn't the best with explaining things.

Lithiasaur Confused senshi is confused. Rana didn't really understand most of his babble, and she was skeptical about most of the rest of it. She looked at him with one eyebrow raised and en expression that said she wasn't buying it. The fact that magic was involved she had to accept, considering she was conversing with a talking cat and had just changed outfits in an eyeblink. (And come to think of it, what had happened to her normal clothes?) But the word "senshi" sounded made up, and the whole "fighting bad guys" bit sounded like a children's cartoon. "How is this," she said, indicating the pen and the new clothes, "supposed to help me protect people? What, do I just change costumes in front of them and hope they're so dumbfounded they give up whatever they're doing?" There was also the question of why she would want to protect people just because a cat said so, but she was getting the idea that this cat wasn't the brightest bulb in the box, so she wanted to stick to one concept at a time with him.

mewrose That's Hadaya's general state of being. Hadaya felt that since he had already shown her some very real magic, and was also a talking cat, everything he said now had to have some sort of credibility, right? So she would probably just understand everything and accept it without complicated questions or him having to know too much about everything!
Because he really didn't. Know anything, that was.
Okay, some things, but... she probably wasn't interested in what places were okay with feeding 'stray' cats after closing, or the best place to hide from corgi's.
"You have powers now! Magic! You can fight with it, or defend with it! It's very specific to uhm. You, so I don't know what your powers are yet, but you'll figure it out! I'm sure you will! I bet you're going to be a really great senshi! You wouldn't have awakened as one if you weren't! But never change into your Senshi form in front of anyone, and never let anyone know your identity! That would be bad. There are... very bad guys out there, and they would try to hurt you." He purred sadly, rubbing against her at the very thought of her getting into danger.

Rana huffed a frustrated breath. This cat wasn't really telling her much, was he? So don't change in front of people. She could do that. She probably wouldn't change again at all until she figured out what the heck was going on, and maybe not then. She wasn't exactly thrilled about what she was hearing. ...But it was kind of hard to be mad at a cat that was purring and rubbing against her ankles. She looked down at the fluffy cat for a moment then sighed. "Great. Well, then. How do I change back, anyway?" she asked. If he knew how to make her change, he ought to know how to change back, right? "Once I do that I can...go try and figure things out." Or not. At least not right away, anyway. She would probably go find a tree to climb instead. That would make her feel better, she was sure.

"Oh that's easy! Just think about the way you were before, and you can go back! It's just... telling yourself to do it. A lot of it is that way, like using your magic! And I don't even have to look away because you get all sparkly so I can't see anything, I promise! Though... I could look away, if that's more comfortable!"
Hadaya turned and put his little face down toward the ground, his backside facing her now in what he thought was a very polite way of not watching her change. After all, he had no chance of seeing anything if his face was on the ground, right?
Cat logic.
He was a sweet, innocent little guy, but not the most experienced or the wisest of Guardian cats out there. He tried his best, of course, and everything he did was with his whole heart. It just sometimes lacked a lot of sense.

Wait, what? Look away? Sparkly? She almost asked what he meant, but he already had his face in the dirt. And his butt in the air. So instead she sighed. Whatever, let's just get this over with. She focused on what she looked like before she'd met the cat and told herself she really, really wanted to go back to that...OK woah, so that's what he meant. A sparkly glow enveloped her, and when she glanced down in the midst of it, she noticed that she momentarily appeared to not have anything on between the time that one outfit disappeared and the other reappeared. Yeah, that's another good reason not to let anyone see that transition. The vague warning of "bad people" didn't mean much to her, but the suggestion of public indecency kind of did. Once the light show stopped, she looked over herself to make double sure everything looked like it should, and that nothing had disappeared. She still had the "magic" pen in one hand, though. She glanced at it, tucked it in her pocket, then said, "Right then, back to normal." She looked down at the confusing cat and continued, "So...I'm gonna just...go now."

Hadaya smiled at her once she had powered back down, but his ears drooped a little. He got the impression that she was unhappy with him, which was probably the worst thing anyone could ever do to him. Well, in the scope of his little world and small amount of experience, anyway. He tried so hard to make sure he was the best kitty and guardian he could be.
But he was also very aware that he was far from any good at it. He worked hard to just make up for his own fail-tastically bad luck, and most of the time that barely brought him up to 'average'. Barely.
"Okay, well. Be safe out there. If you need any help, I can come and find you! Or... I mean, there are a lot of other senshi out there and some really... really good Guardian Cats. Like me, but, who. Uhm. Know. Things. I hope you have a good night, and thank you for helping me! I really do appreciate it!"
He gave her leg one more cuddle before scuttling away, feeling embarrassed and mildly ashamed of himself. There had to be a way for him to get better at this, without having to make poor new senshi suffer through his terrible attempts at awakening them. He could only hope he hadn't done more damage than good in her start at things...

OK, when the cat drooped and looked disappointed that she wasn't exactly pleased, Rana kind of felt bad. She certainly didn't think he was being very helpful, and she was kind of frustrated at him for it, but who could stay mad at a cute thing looking sad. He was clearly trying to help, even if he wasn't very good at it. She reached down to pet him, but he'd already scurried off. So instead she called after him: "Yeah, thanks for the, uh, magic pen!" She stared after him for a moment more, kind of wondering if she should maybe say something else. But then she shook her head briskly. Nope, that was enough of that. Time to go climb a tree and relax...and then she remembered she still needed to finish unpacking, and her parents would probably be wondering where she was. She sighed and looked back towards home. ...Just a quick climb first. She'd barely gotten a chance yet. So she turned and headed farther into the woods to find a good tree.
