"I'm going to suppose one of you two will do that?" Zac said glancing between them. "Since I feel like you still don't trust -me- not to make a deal." He sighed softly. "I've no intent to stop digging for information, I promise you that." He added shaking his head. "About the artist, and this Mister Tailor... but you're right. Sunny might be a good place to start. I just..." He took a breath and let it out crinkling his nose. "I feel like it's kinda s**t to go to her every time we have a question, I'd almost rather go to back to that creepy library...and you know how I feel about trying -deliberately- to get there. "

Jeremiah's eyes narrowed, a hand smoothing across his face. It helped hide some of the look he had about the don't trust me to not make a deal. "You are doing your own research, Zac, what you do - if you make any deals - are your own." There was no point in trying to stop any of them - they would make their own decisions. The thought waylaid him from Algie talking about asking Sunny directly though inwardly he was wincing. Business only, safeguard and understand. Jeremiah still had that uneasy feeling in his gut when it came to the not-quite-a-young-woman. "It is s**t but when everything seems to come back to her - to revolve around her in some way - she is the one who has answers." His fingers were closed tightly around his teacup. Another feeling of deja vu; that either he had said this or thought this already. "Even if they are vague answers - they are still something - and we can search all we want at the other places. In the end, she's pivotal to all of this and we'll have to talk to her." His gaze flicked to Algie and then back to Zac. "Alg is right that you can talk to her without deals. Just talk to her." Except that he could not, not without going back on his deal. Why did that bother him so much?

Algie couldn't help the displeased face he made when Zac said they didn't trust him. "Jeremiah's right Zac, you're doing your own thing-" It wasn't about who approved or trusted what, "You've never been untrustworthy- which means don't start now." There was a light huff to his tone and Algie was finding a chair to settle into. "She's a resource at our disposal.. and if she becomes too difficult you can always walk away. Deals were never even a consideration before meeting Sunny- so handle it as if that were still the case."

A look passed over Zac’s face, quick as a summer storm and just as hard to read. He took a breath and let it out. Instead he changed topics. “I’m thinking of talking to Heliodora. Just to make you aware. ".... Also, the dude, the one I met upstairs, the Husband, Liam or whatever... if you decide to go see him, you need to know something. His... voice." He said frowning. "It's not normal. It's like... lots of voices, it's creepy but at the same time..." He shrugged. "... So... if nothing else, he's BEEN to Other Ashdown, pretty sure." “Did you guys have anything to share?”

Jeremiah knew that look but it passed and ... It felt more like they were talking around each other than anything else. "I may want to go see this painting myself at some point, have a look at the house as well." Another sip of his tea was taken, cup settled down onto a saucer and then set down. "... and if that is the case about this Liam, then it is definitely something we need to be looking into." Their ties to Sunny would be something to look into as well. Zac wanting to see Heliodora was fine, more than fine. If only because of Algie's visit with her and knowing that it had been informative. Yet ... "Visiting Heliodora is a good idea, I am actually wanting to talk to her myself at some point. It's worth pursuing, Zac." He did have more to share but for the moment his thoughts were turned to Heliodora visits.

Algie did not like the sound of the description of that man's voice. In fact it sounded too supernatural to be on this side. "I actually went to see Heliodora-" Algie straightened with a small smile and a near chuckle, "She's a million times easier to talk to than Sunny. She'll answer your questions as best she can, at least in my experience." He ran over everything she'd said mentally and then nodded, "I think she's safe. Safe enough anyway. And that deer thing wasn't there." His glasses were straightened, "The books are people's memories but- not all Sunny's and not only hers. I'm sure I was Doe in one of them and- well she reminded me that memories are never truly accurate and only as biased as the one who owned them." He sighed. "But at least we know we can believe what we've seen individually." The book nerd decided to talk about the books. Who is surprised?

The information about the books made Zac sigh, and nod. "...I suppose at least memories are better than nothing? I wonder how... tainted by opinion and time Sunny's memories are." He mused. He let out a sigh and shook his head again in frustration. "Alright...so... we'll all try and make our ways to see Heliodora," He said nodding in agreement to the plan. "Easier to talk to might be...really good right now." he admitted. "...I might see if Autumn wants to go...just in case Pax is there." He admitted. "But also because she seems rather, well cool and with it." He shrugged. "Alright... it's a plan." He nodded again. "We'll get to the bottom of this. I'll keep in touch with texts but, I should probably go update Autumn too if I want to play it safe with a buddy system."

"Or how influenced we may become by viewing someone else's memories." Especially when they became part of their own. Jeremiah was leaning for his tea again, fingers curled around the cup only to find it chilled. He was pouring more into the cup simply to hold it and enjoy the warmth of it. With Zac saying he would keep in contact with texts, some of his personal worries about the young man's safety were eased. "That's likely for the best. Autumn has been handling this all very well," and had given them kittens, "but ..." His eyes glanced towards Algie because he was going to tell Zac what he had discussed with the other man. About what he had ran into because it needed to be shared. "Just be on the look out, there are other things in there."

Algie hadn't seen Autumn since she'd dropped Violetta off, but then they'd found her journal and 'handling it well' wasn't exactly what he'd experienced. Hopefully she'd pulled herself together somewhat to grasp what all of that could actually mean. "Be careful, Zac. Going together sounds like a good idea." Mostly because their only other experience in Ashdown had resulted in a very calm Autumn, and her saving a few of their skins whether she meant to or not. Alg glanced at his teacup, finding it empty, went to get himself more. The conversation, it seemed, was winding down. He was going to find something to munch on after this.

Zac nodded his understanding, he very truly meant to be careful. On some level he supposed that everyone -meant- to be careful, even people who jumped off cliffs took... some measure of safety precautions... most of the time anyhow. "I'll have Autumn at my back."He said with a smile and a nod, though the smile only lightly touched his eyes. "If I find anything." He said with a small shrug. "Or new strange things I promise I'll be careful."
