Ziel 4Ziel squarely ignored her mother and finally released Masika once they were at the sand pile so she could plop herself down. “Let’s do a castle! I don’t know how to build either.” The Hybrid shrugged, it didn’t bother her she was just happy to have a friend to play with finally.
“Do you live around here? My moms from Juahar my dads from here! Your moms an Alkidike right? My mom says that they live close to other Alkidikes! Your dad has to be from here too right? Just like my dad!” Ziel blabbed on about things while throwing more sand into the pile. “Are you allowed to go into the water? I kind of want to go swimming but mom never lets me go by myself! But if you’re allowed, she might allow me to go in the water too. Do you like swimming? My dad is always taking me to the beach for a swim. I love the water!”

Masika Post 4She blinked. So many questions! But it was infectious. Even when she was around her sister. Masika liked the energy that was put off and soon she was giggling and grinning and coming out of her little shell. "Mhm! We live that way around the bend in the trees." She pointed in the direction that she and her mother had come from. It wasn't that far of a walk either. "My Dadae is from here but it's the first time he's been here." Not that that made any sense to her. Or even what the implications behind it were. As the conversation went on she giggled and helped with the sand. "I love the water. Muma and Dadae made sure me and my sisa could swim. We even take the radaku's with us sometimes." Masika looked at the water then at Ziel.

Alassiel 5Z’ran helped, but he also had his own business too to take care of which meant most of the household duties were left to her. Alassiel didn’t mind most of the time but she also had a snaptrotter that needed to be trained and looked after. When she put both her snaptrotter and Ziel together it was like a whirlwind had been unleashed. Both of them stopped listening to her and carried on running around chasing one another around. “Maybe one day.” Ally finally said with a small chuckle.
Alassiel walked over back to her spot and seated herself down on the sand once again, this time with her legs out in front of her as she leaned back. “It’s nice to see Ziel playing with someone other than me.” She laughed a little. “Sometimes I think a sibling might do her some good. I don’t know.” Ally sighed softly.

Dem Post 5 She moved over to sit with the woman, her eyes going toward her little one every now and then. "It's nice when they have someone else to play with." She wouldn't deny that. Dem would have been grateful if Masika had found Galene instead of her to show whatever it was to, but this had given her a chance to meet someone new. V'demhe liked that. And seeing more hybrid children, even if they weren't Alkidike, was refreshing. "Ziel is always welcome to come play with my girls. I have a baby sister about their age as well." No point in making the poor woman suffer at the hands of her energetic child. "I promise I don't bite." There was a chuckle that came from her but Dem had seen the slight tension when Alassiel had approached before.

Ziel 5“Oh! I live down there!” Turning, Ziel pointed in a direction she thought her house was in. They didn’t live within the community, but they weren’t far from it nor the beach. Her father enjoyed the sand and water far too much and so did her mother’s snaptrotter.
“Really?” Ziel tilted her head, wondering how that was possible. Maybe her father had parents that traveled a lot and that was why. “Ah me too!” Ziel squealed once more getting up excitedly.
“MAAAAAAAAM” Ziel turned towards her mother. “Mom can we go swimming?” Alassiel nodded and Ziel went splashing into the water. “Come Masika! The water is so nice!” Finally someone who would actually want to come swimming with her!

Masika Post 5Masika grinned. Another girl her age didn't live that far away! As Ziel took off toward the water she looked at her own mother to see if it was alright. Dem gave her the go ahead and she followed after her new found friend. As soon as she hit the water she squealed in delight and started to splash. "Yay!" When waves rolled in she would flop onto them and ride them back to the shore. "Do this Ziel! Do this!" She giggled as she was floated to the sand. Apparently she was enjoying herself now.

Alassiel 6“Yes,” Alassiel agreed as she eyed the pair. “Are you living here?” The Shifter glanced at Dem briefly. It was always a little weird for her to see an Alkidike that wasn’t way up close to her own home. Then again, she was a Shifter and nowhere near any Shifter settlements either.
“That would be nice, and it would be a good thing for her to have new friends and meet new people.” It was always a little harder for a Hybrid to make friends, or at least that’s what Alassiel had noticed with Ziel. If Dem had two children and a younger sister she was sure that Ziel would come home exhausted which was a good thing for once!
“Don’t go too far in,” she called after her daughter shaking her head slowly. “I swear it was like she was born in the ocean.” Alassie chuckled.

Dem Post 6She watched as her little one rode the waves to the shore and went back out to hop on another one. "Hm? Yes. My mate wanted to learn about his homeland and I thought our daughters should know about it too." And Dem wasn't the type to just let her mate do something on their own because it inconvenienced her. She would always find a way to make it work out for everyone. "You are welcome to visit as well." V'demhe was always welcoming to others and she wanted to make sure that this mother knew it.

Ziel 6Ziel tried to copy Masika as she rode the waves back to shore. She too was giggling and splashing about. Sometimes she would disappear under the water only to reappear some ways of before coming back closer to Masika. She loved the water, it was like a second home to her and she had her father to thank for that.
And so it was that Ziel splashed around the water for the next few hours, spending enough energy to last her a lifetime. Of course at one point her energy did start to die out, replaced by a growling stomach. Ziel paused, before turning to Masika.
“I’m hungry,” then turning towards her mother she yelled, “Mom I’m hungry!” And then an idea struck her. “Do you want to eat at my home? My dad is an amazing cook!” Turning again once more to her Alassiel yelling, “Mom can Masika and her mom eat at our home?”

Masika Post 6 Hours spent in the water didn't seem to bother her. In fact she would sometimes dive under just to go down to the bottom and pick up a shell. When she came back up she'd show off her new trinket before returning it to the sandy bed below them. When food was mentioned her little feelers gave a twitch. "Mhm! Can he make sweet things?" She had gained her mother's taste for all things sugary. As Ziel called out to her mother so ask Masika made her way to the shore so that she could stand in the water rather than float.

Alassiel 7“It’s a nice place, certainly different from where we’re from but nice.” Alassiel contemplated what Dem had said. “Maybe if I’m not busy, I’ve got a growing snaptrotter at home I’m trying to teach to ride. Stubborn little bugger.” Thankfully, in Matori she’d been able to find a few tamers who had given her a few tips on how to train him. It had helped, but it was a constant work in progress for here.
“Only if her mother agrees to it,” Alassiel called back looking at Dem. “It’s up to you if you would like to come over for dinner or not. It’s always nice to have some company.” Her husband wouldn’t mind either, he enjoyed cooking for larger groups.

V'demhe post 7Learning that Alassiel had a snaptrotter made her smile. "Indeed? Are they good with children? I have been trying to find something for my girls." Dem wanted her daughters to have that extra protection should they need it. She had loved having Maha around when she was in her early teens and she remembered seeing Teiluj's familiar's when she was a youngling. It was a type of companionship that she thought everyone should enjoy. As Ziel yelled from the shore she turned to look at both little girls. Giving a chuckle she nodded her head. "That's fine with me, so long as you and your mate have no issues with an Alkidike in your home. I know there has been some tension lately." V'demhe didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable.

Ziel 7“Yes he can! He makes all sorts of things.” Ziel followed Masika out of the water onto the shore towards her mother. Her limbs and body felt heavy from all the playing in the water and it almost felt like she had to drag herself out of the ocean. Turning to the other Hybrid, Ziel beamed. “See your mom said yes!” This time Ziel didn’t feel like running towards, home since she was so tired and she did want to walk with Masika. “It’s this way!” Ziel began to make her way towards their house.

Masika Post 7Knowing that Ziel's dad could make sweet things made her more excited about the idea. So when she heard both parents agree to the idea she left the ocean behind her friend. Giggling she hopped the rest of the way out, making splashes, then walked in the direction that Ziel had pointed. "Next time I'll bring Maha to play too. He likes playing in the water." That and she figured Ziel would enjoy playing with the blue radaku. "Oh, and you'll have to meet my sisa." There was no way she was going to leave Galene out of it all. Masika was sure that the two would get along pretty well.

Alassiel 8“So far so good I’d say and Ziel plays pretty rough,” Alassiel had been so afraid in the beginning of leaving the snaptrotter with Ziel who also liked to ride him young. She also liked to poke and prod him, though she’d gotten better as she’d gotten older Alassiel didn’t know how he had that much patience.
Standing, Alassiel began packing up her things to follow after the kids. “It’s fine really,” Alassiel waved her hand in the air. “I think most of the issues have been sent off island.” She was referring to the Banished of course; she had bone to pick with them. “You’re more than welcomed to come” Ally gave her a smile before starting to make her way home.
