Otto did not want to answer that. So he didn't. Instead, he was treated to a foul and painful charge attack that left him seething with pain. He stumbled back a few steps, keeping Tenya at his side and dragging on the ground. He swallowed hard, and it felt as if the acidic attack were burning into his shield and his weapon.
He was getting beaten by a trainee. A ******** trainee.
His eyes darkened, the red underneath them from poor sleep patterns more pronounced with his rising anger. He kept walking backward, now pulling Tenya over top his head. He began to spin her rapidly as he runes burned brightly with power.
Otto had been avoiding spars and battle, and it had been ages since he and Tenya had worked as a team. It was shaky and off balance, their bond.
But absence from charges and battle made this maiden weapon stronger if only for this moment. He heard her scream in his mind, full of pent up energy burning to be used. Otto, with a loud grunt, hurled Tenya's spinning and fiery form straight at Harvard. She screamed across the field between them, churning op earth before slamming into the man's form.

The blow knocked Harvard clean off his feet, sending him slamming into one of the nearby wooden dummies. Apparently, Otto didn't like thinking up the answers for questions. A terrible student. It took him a while to recover from the blow, time he didn't have. As a results, he barely grazed Otto with the tip of his sword. "An, won't you treat me a little more gently? I'll make your first lesson free." HP: 9/40 DMG: 1 CHG: 1/3

"I don't need no linguist to teach me how to talk." He growled as he knocked away Harvard's attacking arm with Tenya. Again, he was reminded of Lawrence, who'd dug into him about a lack of education. Everyone was making him feel stupid lately, it seemed. Rather than desire to change himself, it just made him even angrier. HP: 20/50 DMG: 3

He grit his teeth as he wobbled. "Double negative. And really, I'm best at teaching languages other than English. Unless you're interested in linguistic anthropology." A feint to th left, and then he struck outwards, feeling as though his arm were weak as water. HP: 6/40 DMG: 2 CHG: 2/3

"English is the only language that matters." Otto sniped back, taking the hit with ease. "Is that even a real thing? Doctors of Languages?" Maybe it was him just being stupid, but he'd been sure there were only two sorts of doctors; Head Doctors and Hospital Doctors. "Sure you ain't makin' it up to sound fancy?" Otto spun Tenya after a few steps back, and slammed her straight into the Doctor's stomach. HP: 18/50 DMG: 5

Harvard knew his shield or whatever was wearing thin. It felt like a thin pressure on his eardrums, like riding up in an elevator - eventually it would pop. He didn't particularly like that. Of course Miserere was singing dolefully in his head: some Latin dirge. So, when that boomerang hit him again, instead of waiting for his shield to snap, he desummoned his weapon before he hit the ground again. It was close enough to a snap that it wouldn't matter to Otto. "Truce," he said, putting one hand up. "Do you really think I get my jollies by making up doctorates to tell all the brats I meet? Hah. Doctor of linguistic anthropology. You could probably look up my credentials - depends on how much of Delta was just... erased." Harvard shrugged and got to his feet, rolling his left shoulder. It hurt, but he'd noticed that his body seemed hardier now. Zombies or weapon bonds or both. "Still, free first lesson, Otto. To make up for my morning bit of wood." He glance back at the hacked up dummy.

He was down for the count. Otto could keep his dignity today. He breathed a sigh and dismissed Tenya, feeling lighter now that he didn't have to carry her, or the burden of being beaten by a trainee. "Ain't a brat." He grumbled under his breath. Delta.. that was a city that got wiped out by zombies, if he recalled from general murmurings and Twitter feeds. He'd not gone there himself. Otto wasn't a stranger to hearing dirty jokes, but it didn't stop him from being taken aback. "...was that supposed to be a joke?" Of course it had been, and he knew that. However, somehow, it just left Otto feeling disgusted. "Ain't gunna learn enough from one lesson, and I ain't interested in payin' for s**t I never wanted." He said with arrogant pride, practically pouting with grumpiness as he turned to leave.

"Was what a joke?" he asked dryly. Inwardly, he sighed. It had been alright as far as spars went, but all Harvard really wanted now was a shower and a morning nap. He wondered was Caroline was up to.
"Well," he said to Otto's back. "-no one can force someone to learn. Have a nice day, Otto." He figured Otto's main mode must be grumpy or perhaps it was a lack of coffee or getting laid or any number of things Harvard was singularly uninterested in. He yawned behind his hand before debating the trip to the dorms vs the trip to the cafeteria. Tough decisions.

Damnit.
If it wan't for Lawrence, he'd have knocked such a comment off as high and mighty bullshit. But now...
Otto groaned, rubbing his face in frustration. Swallowing his pride, which he early choked trying to do, he turned back around.
"Do um..." He huffed, fidgeting and looking everywhere but at Harvard. "D'ya know Spanish?"

Harvard looked at Otto, the question earning him a surprised look. Seeing how nervous the boy was, though, Harvard devoted time to dusting off his clothing, aware that his own eyes might make Otto more nervous.
"I do. It's Castilian, so standard Spanish. Bit different from Mexico's dialect, but still, you'd be understood. Why?" When he spoke again, it was in Spanish. He doubted Otto would simply take his word for it. "¿Do you want to learn?"

Maybe he didn't care to learn anything, but he was damn tired of being persecuted for it. Spanish was the first thing to come to his head. He doubted he'd need it. Doubted it would do him any good to know or not. A free lesson was a free lesson, so even if he came out of it only knowing one word, he could at least say he tried. "Why?" He sneered. "Cause you got all huffy actin' like I got somethin' against learnin' s**t." This b*****d would pay, mocking him and speaking in a funny Moon Speak to tease him. He'd soon learn just how difficult it was to get Otto Graves to absorb knowledge. Then he'd eat his funny sounding words. "Don't speak gibberish at me. If ya don't wanna teach me then just leave."

The sneer was the silliest thing, Harvard thought. It was irritating, sure, but also ******** silly. "It's not gibberish, it's a language. And no." He raked a hand through his short curly hair. "This is a shitty classroom and you seem like a shittier student. Don't accept a lesson in some kind of attempt to teach me a lesson. You're about 10 years too early for that, kid." Harvard reach into his pocket and scribbled something down on a piece of paper. After a moment, he offered the slip to Otto. "If you actually want to learn, pick a time, pick a goddamn better place, and call me."

Tch. This jerk. Coming off like he was some old man, too jaded to even begin to deal with kids these days. And Otto was no kid. He was an adult, dammit. His ID said so!He took the card anyway, wondering how good it would serve as a bookmark. "Whatever." He said dismissively with an eye-roll. A very mature and adult like eye roll, thank you very much. "Have fun chuckin' yer morning wood at folks, s**t-bag." And off he went, shuffling his feet back to the main building.

Harvard did not expect to receive a call from Otto at any point in the future. He might die of shock if he did.
