This town was full of good people and full of bad people however Rosi saw herself as a true neutral; someone who passed on information but never got involved in other peoples shenanigans. Not that she wished badly on anyone, but unlike Jeremiah she was not going to risk her neck for them. He was the good guy and she would help him, within reason, but his plight was his and his job was his.
She just hoped for a good end.
Rosi held his arm tighter, the gentle touch turning into a grasp a Cheshire grin started to appear on her face. Whatever innocence she managed to radiate was gone and she returned to her usual self. "Do not worry Jeremiah, I am not afraid of the boogie man or things that go bump in the night. I am however very concerned with the well-being and health of the people who inhabit this town. It is not as exciting, it does not make the papers but it is my duty." Leaning into her pocket she took out a needle in a packet, it might as well have had his name on it.
"I can not have our leading detective getting sick whilst kids are still out there missing. Would you please roll up your sleeve?" He had stood her up last week; she did not take very kindly to that.
