Pokédex: #227 Skarmory, the Armor Bird Pokémon. Skarmory is entirely encased in hard, protective armor. This Pokémon flies at close to 190 mph. It slashes foes with its wings that possess swordlike cutting edges.
Diet: Skarmory is an obligate carnivore.
Ability: Prevents other Pokémon from lowering accuracy and ignores any boosts to the opponent's evasion.
Weaknesses: Fire x2, Electric x2
Resistances: Poision x0, Ground x0, Bug x¼, Grass x¼, Normal x½, Flying x½, Steel x½, Psychic x½, Dragon x½, Fairy x½
Nature: Adamant (+ Attack - Sp. Attack ), Likes to fight (Attack)
Zevran's notes: ...Well this thing would certainly impress everyone back home I will say that for it. I think I will require some assistance in taming it though, it has ruined the tattoos on my back!

The sun was fat, orange, and low in the sky and there was a great view of the city from the sloping roof. Zevran lounged on his picnic blanket as he sipped directly from his bottle of wine and gazed over the ridge out across the rooftops of the rest of the old industrial district, on towards the docks and out over the sparkling sea. "I like it here," he commented idly to the Caterpie lying beside him. "It's quite a pretty city, right on the water which I like, and there seems to be much to do here." He paused, sighed softly, sipped from the bottle again. "Between you and me Amigo I must admit I didn't expect to end up...." He trailed off and shrugged. "And to be your own master is a fine thing but what do people do with their lives and liberty?" Everyone around him seemed to have plans, commitments, dreams for their future. He wasn't quite sure how they went about getting those things but he certainly wasn't going to ask anyone, how could you ask a question as obvious as that?
"Though I suppose it is no bad thing to simply enjoy each day as it comes," he observed after another sip of wine. If you took each day as a life in itself, died when you slept and lived again with each dawn what was there to fear, to lack, to want? And of course if you didn't die, which currently seemed like a distinct possibility, there was always a chance that one day you might feel like doing something beyond all of that.... Perhaps. Perhaps not. Perhaps he would die after all but for now-
Zevran took another sip of wine and poured a splash into the waiting saucer for his Caterpie. "It certainly is a beautiful sunset."

Pokédex: #135 Jolteon, the Lightning Pokémon. It accumulates negative ions in the atmosphere to blast out 10,000-volt lightning bolts.
Diet: An omnivorous Pokémon food mix will keep a Jolteon perfectly healthy. Their diet can be supplemented with meat, fruit, and vegetables.
Ability: When a Pokémon with Volt Absorb is hit by a damaging Electric-type move, its HP is restored by one quarter of its maximum HP, and the move will have no effect on that Pokémon.
Weaknesses: Ground x2
Resistances: Flying x½, Steel x½, Electric x½
Nature: Hasty (+ Speed - Defence ), Mischievous (Sp. Attack)
Zevran's notes: A charming little thief! I found him with a small hoard of stolen shiny things in a forgotten corner of the warehouse, the offer of food persuaded him to move up into my room. He has since allowed me to exchange a couple of items in his hoard for new offerings, more glittery and thus to his taste but not as valuable in monetary terms; a win for both of us.
Other than shiny things he seems to enjoy having his belly scratched, going for walks and playing with Vision. I think he will be a most useful addition to my growing collection of monsters, and entertaining company too. I have never seen a ball fetched so quickly in my life!

Pokédex: #700 Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokémon. It wraps its ribbonlike feelers around the arm of its beloved Trainer and walks with him or her.
Diet: Omniverous.
Ability: Contact with the Pokémon may cause infatuation.
Weaknesses: Poison x2, Steel x2
Resistances: Dragon x0, Fighting x½, Bug x½, Dark x½
Nature:
Zevran's notes: I won Stardust as an Eevee on a thoroughly good day out with Abel by running along a greasy pole, retrieving a flag, and then falling into a pond.
It seems to be a rather clever pokemon and gets on well with Copper, I have since learned that Copper would have been an Eevee before he evolved so I suppose they have kinship of a kind?
A few weeks after acquiring her, and learning more about her kind, I took her shopping to choose an evolution stone. She picked out a pretty pink one called a fairy stone and when I gave it to her she evolved into a pokemon known as Sylveon. Apparently her type are good at fighting dark types and dragon types, a fact that entertains me greatly!

Pokédex: #318 Carvanha, the Savage Pokémon. They swarm any foe that invades their territory. Their sharp fangs can tear out boat hulls.
Diet: Flesh.
Ability: When a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a move that makes contact, the attacking Pokémon now loses 1/8 of its own maximum HP.
Weaknesses: Fighting x2, Bug x2, Grass x2, Electric x2, Fairy x2
Resistances: Ghost x½, Steel x½, Fire x½, Water x½, Ice x½, Dark x½
Nature:
Zevran's notes: I caught this one as a smaller toothy fish when it swam up into a hotspring pool Abel and I were relaxing in. It has proved quite easy to train but I am careful about how close my fingers get to it, I don't think it has very good eyesight and its drive to eat seemed to override its brain at times.

Pokédex: #144 Articuno, the Freeze Pokémon. Articuno is a legendary bird Pokémon that can control ice. The flapping of its wings chills the air. As a result, it is said that when this Pokémon flies, snow will fall.
Diet: Omnivorous, Articuno will eat almost anything that crosses their path in the snowy peaks.
Ability:
Weaknesses: Rock x4, Steel x2, Fire x2, Electric x2
Resistances: Ground x0 Bug x½, Grass x½

Zevran's notes: What can I saw, it followed me home!
It has quite a regal air about it, very proud and dignified but quite friendly all the same. I have persuaded it to allow me to keep my food cool under its wings when it is roosting in return for preening it thoroughly.

"No no, go on, I am sure you have a home to go to you pretty thing," Zevran said as he made a light shooing gesture at the bird that had just alighted in front of him on the path. It cocked its head at him. Zevran tutted and shook his head, a lopsided smile tugging at his lips. "Can a man not walk anywhere in Kodo without new pokemon attaching themselves to him?" It was a pretty bird though, if rather chilly, and Abel had said he should get one that was a little less - ah - murderous than Estoque. Still.
"Just because I freed your leg is no reason to tail after me pájaro del invierno, go on, find your trainer." Unless it really didn't have one? Well it was easy to find that out. Zevran swung his bag off his shoulder and set it down on the ground in order to rummage through one of the end pockets. Soon enough he located a pokeball, which he tossed into the air and then caught again. "Are you quite serious about coming along? We shall see." As he spoke he threw the pokeball at the handsome bird and watched as it disappeared in a flash of light. The ball landed and rocked once, twice, thrice and then fell still. Zevran raised his eyebrows and walked over to pick it up and pocket it. "I suppose that answers that question then," he commented to the Metapod poking out of the main section of the bag. "Let us be going, Abel will be excited to see you evolved I am sure! And I can introduce him and Taavi to our new friend, Taavi will probably be able to tell us what it is."
With no more ceremony than that Zevran set off down the path again, heading for the bus stop.

Pokédex: It has a brave and trustworthy nature. It fearlessly stands up to bigger and stronger foes.
Diet: Mostly carnivorous but wild Growlithe will scavenge almost anything.
Ability: Powers up the Pokémon's Fire-type moves if it's hit by one.
Weaknesses: Rock x2, Ground x2, Water x2
Resistances: Bug x½, Steel x½, Fire x½, Grass x½, Ice x½, Fairy x½
Nature: Brave
Zevran's notes: Clara was a christmas gift to me from Abel, she was bred on his parents' ranch! She is extremely friendly and loyal to all of us but seems guarded around strangers, a trait I welcome!

Pokédex: #037 Vulpix, the Fox Pokémon. It can freely control fire, making fiery orbs fly like will-o'-the-wisps. Just before evolution, its six tails grow hot as if on fire.
