Drexl nodded mutely as he let one leg dangle, bringing the other up to rest his chin on his knee. He sighed deeply. "I guess." He knew that he would always be followed by this insecurity. Leaning back he looked back to his brother. "Sorry for that, Lix. Its just...its been bothering me." he looked up at the sky then. "Our Dad's would smack me for thinking like that. I'd have to apologize later to them."

Lifting a hand he gave his brother's dark hair a pet, "You should also think of it as you being special, the fact you're the only one who looks like you just as I am the only one that looks like me. We are quite an amazing family of odd balls." He said with a bit of a laugh. There wasn't a 'normal' looking person among the two fathers and three sons, all of them having mixed blood, all of them different in coloration, and special in their own ways.
Blinking as his brother apologized he grinned, "It's fine, Drexl, if you have any worries you should come right to me to chat! I am always here for you!" He chirped, giving a smile. Giving a little laugh he said, "Naw, Dad would maybe smack you, but our Daddy... he'd smack other people around if he knew they were teasing you. You know that he's like a kinfa when it comes to 'his babies'." Rilind would likely go and kick some people around if he knew that they were teasing Drexl so much that they were putting him in this sort of mood he thought to himself.

Drexl nodded at that. He then saw a Kinfa feather stuck in the bark of the tree across from him. It was a pretty vibrant green. Perfect for Jerami! Drexl didn't think much after that before he was leaping over to the other tree. Easily stepping up to pluck the feather. "Lixes look! Jerami would like this!" He tucked it away into his belt pouch, glancing back to see two more feathers. He smiled. Both were a vibrant red. He plucked those before leaping back. He held out the feathers to his brother. "You like red right?"

Lixes pushed up to his feet, brushing himself off, before he watched his big brother who was bouncing over to a nearby tree, plucking a feather from it. He tilted his head to one side as his brother presented the thing to him, declaring that it was something that Jerami liked. He gave it a once over before he nodded his head, "Yeah, that would match him I think." He agreed, feeling as though the green would look nice enough on the pretty boy that Drexl hung out with. The present to be was tucked away into Drexl's pouch before his brother was off to find more feathers, this time a pair of red ones.
It was a curious thing, there weren't a lot of Kinfa in the area, they were a Tale beast, making him wonder who the feathers belonged to. Likely a pet of someone in Andile? Not as though that person could complain about 'feather theft' since they had let their pets play in the training grounds that their parents set up for them. Deciding that it should be fine he turned back to Drexl, giving him a smile and a nod, "Red is a nice color, yeah." He couldn't say there were any colors he didn't like... save for maybe pink. That was only because their late brother had told them horror stories about when cousins had once died him pink. A thought that caused him to smile sadly for a moment but he pushed the thought aside for now.
Giving a smile he said, "We can wear matching feathers, that sounds fun."

Drexl nodded, tucking away one feather. "Lixes. Thanks for being my brother." he smiled leaning over to ruffle Lixes' hair. Jumping down from the tree he called up. "Hey, sun's starting to go to bed. Dinner's most likely ready for us back home. Lets go before Dad worries!" He took a few steps back. "Race ya!" then without giving his brother time to think. Turn to take off for their home.

Lixes couldn't help but to laugh, "Yeah, no problem, Drexl." He said, amused as his brother thanked him for being his brother. It wasn't something that he even thought was worth thanks, he loved his brother after all, but it was just far too endearing to resist. It just made him want to give Drexl a big hug... but there was no chance as Drexl was suddenly hoping down the tree. He was quick to follow along after him, smiling at the mention of dinner, "Oh, good! I'm really hungry!" All the running around, first being a hero and now climbing up the trees, had his stomach rumbling. As his feet touched down his brother was declaring that he'd race him and he was quick to race along, doing his best to catch up with him, "I'm gonna beat you this time, Drexl!" And then he'd get that hug he wanted to himself as he raced off over his dark haired brother, pushing himself to use the last of his energy reserves. After dinner he was likely to doze off after all the work he'd put in today, but it was all completely worth it! Not only worth it but he was sure to be back at it the next day.
