"But..." As Lawr disappeared in a flash, Rodney clasped his hands. "...Melvin..." He seemed to resolve something, then stood.
Rodney rapped hesitantly on the door, the moment it was locked.
"Lawrence? If you just fainted, you...really shouldn't be standing in a hot shower. I think...you should have a bath instead. And...really, you should try to eat something first..."

Already Rodney was relentless he realised and he wasn't even in the shower. It didn't matter to him that showers did on occasion make him dizzy of late, it was just something else to be dealt with.
"I don't want to." he said, undoing his shirt and neatly folding it aside, speaking curtly through the door. "I would have to wait for a bath to fill and I am cold."
He didn't address the issue of food at all.

Melvin grabbed his wallet from his coat before walking to Ridney. "If he isn't out in a decent time and you work... If he doesn't respond to you... Break the door. I'll be back. I know someone who keeps protein shakes. I'm going to get some." He headed to the door and stopped. "Don't let him leave. Call me if he does." He then went down the hallway.
He would be fine for only 10 minutes before he came back win a canister of protein powder.

Melvin was in a complete panic, but Rodney knew he was still dealing with his other loss. Rodney knocked softly on the door again, as Melvin left.
"Please unlock it, at least. I won't come in unless you want me to."

There was a moments hesitation as if this proposition was being weighed up. Lawr couldn't really resist the idea of having Rodney be uncomfortable and it was inevitable he'd sway on this.
The door not only unlocked but opened a crack. Lawr moved away to undress and turn on the water.
"Come in if you like." He said.

This had not been exactly what Rodney had meant. He had tried to convey a in case of emergency sense to the offer. He looked at the cracked door.
"Al...alright. Careful, I'm coming past."
Rodney edged in the small place as close as he could get to the sink, looking very determinedly back out the door and doing everything in his power not to throw Lawrence off balance. Once he made his way to the toilet seat, he sat down on the closed lid, lacing his fingers together tightly and staring at his grey sneakers.
It was safer. In case of falls. When was Melvin coming back?

Lawrence gave Rodney a sidelong smirk the other man didn't see as he stepped out of the last of his clothing and into the shower. It was almost a relief to know the other man wouldn't dare look closely at him. It made him almost feel safer here than outside where he could be examined and - worse still - pitied by the other man. Here he had some vestige of power.
"Happy?" he said with just a bit of a bite to it. "Now you can hover like my overbearing mother in case I prove incapable of bathing in the way I have done my entire life."
He sighed weakly as he shut the curtain, raising his voice to be heard over the rush of water.
"I apologise, that is rude. I appreciate said overbearing concern."
And no doubt Melvin would be back presently also, another problem to contend with, the man had taken it all rather badly so far. It wasn't some enormous problem, he certainly wasn't dying.

"This is a sensitive subject for you," Rodney said, barely audible over the water.

The door softly clicked as Melcin walked in, pausing to look around and see Rodney eas not at te bathroom door and it was open. Putting two and two together, he left the other be a supervisor longer and moved into the kitchen and started to read both the canister direction labels and at the printout Harrison gave.
He pulled out the blender and went to the fridge to get some of the organic fruits.

"Sensitive?" he said, raising his voice still. "Not sensitive at all."
And then there was the clatter of almost every shampoo bottle in the shower toppling over.
Followed by a VERY rare expletive.

The clatter of plastic hitting porcelain made him jump and he hear a swear that was unlikely from either of the others that he almost wondered if he imagined it.
In a moment he was at the bathroom door and cracked it open a bit wider. "Everything okay?" He called in, not wanting to go in while Jan too a shower and was both irritable and tired. He was also afraid of what he failed to see all the other times when they were together, bare, that might have shown an actual heal risk he had ignored.

Rodney jumped up, pushing the shower curtain to the side, ready to keep Lawrence from hitting the bottom of the tub.

Lawrence paused and it was actually his turn to be surprised and perhaps slightly indignant as the curtain was pulled back, giving Rodney a rather nonplussed and sodden look from where he stood very definitely not about to keel over into the bottom of the shower.
He stooped to pick up a bottle which was slowly floating off towards the plug and holding it out said. "Here. Put some on my hand if you are going to just stand there."
His gaze flicked to the doorway. "Oh Melvin too, come right in. I knocked over some bottles but certainly, spectate away, everyone can just watch me shower in case I do something absolutely wild which I haven't done in my forty one years of life." he dropped his voice to a whisper sounding definitely Jan-esque in his irritation. "Just a hint - I'm not going to."

The only response Rodney had was to turn a bright, bright, red.
He took the bottle Lawrence handed him, looking away again, then passed it off to Melvin as he made his way of the bathroom.
"I'll....take care of the other thing," he said.

Melvin was given a bottle and Rodney walked off into the kitchen, looking red from ear to ear.
"I was...." He guessed Rodney could just figure out what shake he was attempting by looking in the kitchen and the blender standing there. "....yeah."
Looking at the bottle, he stepped into the bathroom and saw Jan looking - just as he always had. All his turns and angles didn't look any different than the first time he was with Rin in his body, and he tried to account if he even noticed the changes, but it was hopeless. It was hard to compare someone living from when you were first met as they simply updated themselves over and over in your mind. He liked to think he was more observant than that, but if he let something like this happen without any notice, then he couldn't really admit that.
He handed over the bottle to Jan. "You swore. I just was alarmed. We're just concerned.........I don't know why you are making this out like we're the enemy here, Jan. This is serious." His mind went to the printout on the kitchen counter.
"I'll leave you alone to shower." Though he did spare a self-indulgent glance. "...though you know I'm sad to leave." He walked to the door and softly shut it behind him.
