“The sea it is,” Zandala looked towards the village calculating the time it would take her to get a few supplies and then head out. “Meet me at the outskirt of town in say ten minutes?” Zandala wanted to be in and out as quickly as possible. She was going to slink around the edges until she had returned to her own home, slipping back out of the village would be a little more problematic. If all went well she wouldn’t run into anyone who had seen her and Lumikani following the Elder towards the mother tree and no one would ask any questions.
“I wish you luck, I am going to grab the minimum we need.” Her bow for obvious reasons, some provisions since they probably wouldn’t return before dark and a cloak in case the weather grew bad. Before leaving Zandala turned to Lumikani and gave her a head bow. “I look forward to the day we stand together and watch our daughters bloom.” And with that she was off avoiding people and looking forward to their mini vacation by the sea.

The trip had been relaxing and had helped solidify the bond between Zandala and Lumikani. They had spoken in detail of their thoughts and plans for the children, as well as their hope the two blooms would grow into strong warriors true to the alkidike ways. The next few weeks were the same, avoiding the rest of the trip and their advice to determine their own ways to handle the children.
Now, as the blooms were stronger yet, Lumikani found herself anxious once more for them to finally open and reveal two little girls. Would they have Zandala's markings? Would they be Lumikani's smaller size? It was all such an unknown, and Lumikani was ready for it to just happen.
"Ready for another day at the roots?" Lumikani asked Zandala early in the morning, greeting her at the edge of the camp where they would hopefully sneak around the inquisitive and overly helpful sisters.

Even though short lived, the trip to the sea had been exactly what Zandala had needed. It was refreshing and gave her the strength to face the sisters that she knew would bother her until her daughters had bloomed. It had also been a great way to learn more about Lumikani and deepen their growing bond and friendship. It was nice to be so close to someone again, something Zandala had missed since coming to Yael. It had been hard to talk about anything else than their blooms and they’d made so many plans Zan didn’t know how they’d remember it all.
Everyday Zandala thanked Elzira for this new life and soon it was back to reality and back to their blooms.
“That I am,” the taller Alkidike replied almost whispering to Lumikani. As they made their way to the blooms however, an Elder was awaiting them with a smile on her face. It was the same one that had fetched them to give them their news, had they missed their daughters blooming?
“The matron wishes me to pass on this message. Your blooms will be ready very soon, it would be wise to spend much more time with them until the time they are ready.” And with that she offered them another smile before moving and letting them through to the roots.
“Soon, so soon.” The anticipation was going to kill her.

Lumikani frowned at the elder, curious as to why she was waiting for them yet again. The fleeting thought of more blooms was brushed aside for the realization that maybe the children had arrived. When it was confirmed that their blooms would be here soon, Lumikani nodded and turned to Zandala.
"And so begins a new type of devotion." She teased, before pushing through to the location of their soon-to-bloom flowers. Yes, a new devotion to love and raise the strongest sisters they possibly could. Together.

Zandala took a seek to lean on Elzira and be next to the blooms, she watched Lumikani with a smile on her face knowing she looked probably as silly as could be with the smile. But she was happy and that was all that matter right now.
“To a new type of devotion.” If they’d had something to drink, Zandala would have asked for a toast, but there was only Lumikani, her and the two blooms here. Zan closed her eyes and sighed softly. Life was finally coming together thanks to Lumikani.
