"You just want to see me get drunk." She teased, plucking the drink menu from between the condiments and silver metal holder that kept the tiny table organized. Opening up, it was clear that she was indeed way over her head when it came to picking from this menu, regardless of the fact it was significantly smaller than the much larger food one.

There were all sorts of fancy names attached to lists of ingredients - vodkas, rums, names she couldn't even begin to try to pronounce. Going with a wine seemed too plain - and the more she read through the menu, the more she realized that KittyKat was right in the fact that she probably would end up complaining if she didn't bite the bullet and booze it up on this most special of days.

Before she had time to even begin to fathom on what to order, the appetizers arrived. She allowed Kat to slide the bread basket to the side, watching as the waitress placed both delicious looking plates on the table before beginning her next order.

"I want something sweet - cotton candy or strawberry, preferably. Dealer's choice, I don't care about price."

Her finger waved over the menu, pointing at the laminated words as she stared down the waitress. "But it has to have alcohol. And sweetness. And pink."

The exasperated waitress hurried off, determined to convince the bartender to come up with the most expensive pink drink they could find on the menu for this particular brat.

Daddy wouldn't care about the price either - at least, not until this month's credit card bill came in the mail.

It was easy to fall into light conversation while poking at their appetizers. Katrina knew that there was no way she would be able to finish all of hers and was only slightly upset that there wouldn't be a good way of boxing it all up and taking the leftovers home for later before the movie if they wanted to make sure they had good seats. Fried things didn't often reheat all that well either, so she would just make the most out of it.

"Mm--- So, Prissy. You didn't actually tell me anything about how your date went yesterday. Was the museum actually interesting? Your painting sounded pretty boring." She plucked one of the zucchini fries from her plate after shaking a bit of parmesan cheese out onto them, lightly dipping one end into ranch before taking a bite.

Prissy needed to celebrate her birthday more often -- Or at least take her out somewhere for good food more often. Maybe when it was her birthday she would be able to convince the pinkette to do something fun.

Leftovers was not a concept that Prissy was familiar with. You ate fresh food and then the remains were carried away... to wherever they were carried off to. It was no concern to her, not as long as she always had food in front of her when she requested it. Simple as that.

Using her fork and knife, she lifted one of the four large orbs from the plate in front of her, onto her smaller saucer. As her companion began to question her date, a wry smile curled up on the sides of her lips. Her knife sliced through the fried ball, wisps of steam beginning to curl from within it. The macaroni smelled absolutely divine, enough so that she gently placed her utensils down and took a moment to whip out her iPhone and snap a few pictures of their meal before it disappeared completely.

One button further and the image was uploaded up to her twitter, no doubt with the intentions of sharing her meal with the world. It was only then that she glanced up and the wry smile turned smug.

"The painting was pretty boring...but my date was certainly not."

Returning to her fork, she lifted up a piece of macaroni, coated with both cheese and the fried shell. Popping the bite in her mouth, she savored the flavor before swallowing, the grin still plastered over her face. "For such a stuffy event, he was quite refreshing."

"Refreshing? You went on a blind date the day before Valentine's, so for Valentines and all you can say is that it was refreshing?" Her brow quirked as she took a sip of her tea, pulling her napkin up off of her lap to lightly dab at the corner of her mouth before staring at her friend. The look said that she was going to be highly disappointed if that was really the only information that she was going to get on the events of the evening prior.

It didn't last for long, however, and she was soon snagging another strip of fried vegetable to lightly dip in ranch before devouring. She hadn't realized quite how hungry she was until the food had been set in front of her.

"How are your carbs?" Her brow quirked as she made a gesture towards the pasta covered in breading that the other girl seemed to be enjoying so much.

Swallowing her bite, Prissy promptly stuck out her tongue towards the other girl. "I'm sorry if no one told you, but frying your veggies kind of voids the whole healthy aspect of them. And here," she used her fork to plop a fried orb onto the other girl's plate without warning, "Try it. You'll see."

Thankfully, it was around this time that the waitress returned with the highly anticipated alcoholic beverage. As promised, it was delightfully pink, making Prissy all the more eager to give it a try.

Pressing her lips against the side of the glass, she took a hesitant sip, then a second. The alcohol tingled as it went down, but the sugary taste of whatever the bartender had mixed in with it compensated for the burn. She would have complimented the taste, but the conversation still dangled on her more recent favorite topic and she was more than happy to return to talking about it. Or, in this case, hinting about it.

"Mmmhm."

Setting the glass down, it was hard to suppress the cheshire grin she really wanted to give the other girl. "His name is Chase and he was quite the gentleman."

His name is Chase...

Chase.

Katrina managed to keep herself from side-eying Priscilla by glancing down at the ball of fried macaroni and cheese instead, easily redirecting her suspicion to it. She prodded it with her fork before picking it up to take a small bite, not expecting that there really wasn't a way to take a small bite without using a knife and fork as Prissy had been doing. She nearly dropped the ball back onto her plate (only back onto her plate because she had leaned forward to keep it from dropping onto her dress), setting it down after fumbling for a moment before picking up her napkin again.

There was so much cheese and the macaroni had been cooked perfectly, the outer shell nice and crisp -- but so much cheese.

Kat reached for her glass, taking another sip to wash down some of the thick, rich texture of the appetizer before glancing up at the other woman again. "Just Chase? That's it?" It was a common enough name. She was going to need more information before she started judging.

"Drink's good?" With a bit of distraction added in, hopefully she could just keep Prissy talking.

Her distraction worked, or else Prissy was too self-absorbed in the conversation about herself to notice the attempt that had been made at distracting her. Probably a mix of both.

Another sip washed down the additional bite of cheese, the pinkette now noting the warm and fuzzy feeling that was slowly washing itself over her. Was this what drinking felt like? Or maybe it was just unusually warm in the restaurant tonight? Her eyes glanced at the remaining mac and cheese balls - those would probably have to be carried off, if she were to keep room for dinner and dessert. When it came to cheesecake, she was more than willing to forego half of her entree to ensure she had enough space for sweets.

"Chase Black. I think that's a very respectable name. Took me out for ice cream, after the fact - and brought me flowers."

She left out the fact that they didn't actually stay for the art gallery's event, but that was a tiny detail that didn't need disclosing. Let Kat think they had spent all of the evening together!

Katrina's eye twitched. Sure, it was entirely likely for there to be more than one 'Chase' in Destiny City (real name or nickname) -- But more than one Chase Black?

Katrina Halloran didn't believe in coincidences and she was definitely going to have words of some sort with her superior officer.

For Prissy's benefit she put on a bright smile. "Black is a good family name. Unless you're in the Harry Potter world, and then Sirius Black is a criminal whose family hates him -- But he brought you flowers? Did you take any pictures?" Her brow quirked as she nibbled on another vegetable fry, sitting back only sightly to make room as their waitress brought their entrees over to the table.

" -- This looks incredible. Wow." Food distracted her from the conversation they'd been having about Prissy's date and seemed as though it might continue to do so. It had been way too long since she had treated herself to something like this and it all smelled so good.

She looked at the other girl as if she'd sprung a second head as she referenced Harry Potter and what the even heck she was talking about. Serious Black? That sounded like a rapper's name. KittyKat didn't seem like the rapper type, but then again, Harry Potter could be a rap band, for all she knew. Maybe some metal group or some silly book thing she was yammering about.

"You're a nerd."

There, problem surmised and dismissed.

"Yes and yes. I'll show you later." She nodded in approval upon seeing dinner arrive. The steak was, as usual, cooked to perfection and she took delight in cutting through to inspect the meat for it's pinkness.

Handwaving off the half-eaten macaroni balls and almost-full bread basket, she began her meal, only pausing briefly before her first bite to add, "It was a rather large bouquet, too."

For the time being Katrina no longer cared about whether or not Prissy's 'Chase' was her Chase. She didn't care about dates or museums or flowers. All the young woman cared about was the food sitting in front of her. Sure, she'd still at least pretend to be interested, but the aroma wafting up from her plate -- Mmmm. It was just too good to ignore.

Kat picked up her fork after neatly settling her napkin back into her lap. The salmon flaked perfectly, cooked just right. She popped the fork into her mouth, closing her eyes for a moment to savor the taste.

Once she swallowed she peered around her plate, trying to determine what to try next before looking up at Prissy again. "Did you tell them it was your birthday? We should tell them it's your birthday. Places like this usually do nice things for you when it's your birthday, Priss." Who cared if people were out trying to have romantic dinners?

Not Katrina Halloran, apparently.

Another swift slice and the knife slid through her filet mignon, the fork in her other hand poised to steady the meat perfectly. She seemed to be considering her companion's suggestion, eyes glancing off to the side - perhaps in search of the wayward waitress who was busy attempting to seat the newest couple in the restaurant?

"It's pointless here, honestly."

The sour note was detectable, Prissy doing absolutely nothing to hide her disdain. It may have been the fact that she'd already taken to googling what sort of celebration the Cheesecake Factory had to offer birthday girls or maybe she was just psychic. Either way, Google (or her amazing psychic abilities) had foretold that the only celebrating the restaurant did was offer a shot glass sized "mini" hot fudge sundae to the birthday celebrant.

What a joke.

Chewing the tender piece of meat, she slowly swallowed before adding, "I'd much rather just order one of their cheesecake slices - I'm sure the amount of whipped cream could be increased, for such an occasion."

Glancing at her plate, she realized her fries would remain untouched - there was no way she was going to be able to eat her entire plate and a slice of cheesecake...and no way was she ever going to say no to dessert!

"You are saving room for some cheesecake aren't you, KittyKat?"

"Yes. Of course." No, probably not, if only because she hadn't been thinking of cheesecake when dinner had been set down in front of her. She was thinking about it now, though, and would most likely forgo the majority of the rice that came along with the salmon just to make certain taht she had room for dessert.

"Do you know what kind of cheescake you're going to get, Priss? Have something in mind already for it? You never did tell me how your drink was, you know." She glanced up from her plate finally, popping her fork into her mouth as she patiently awaited an answer.

"S'mores. Or Oreo Extreme. Or Strawberry."

The decision was probably the most difficult thing she'd have to deal with the entire evening - food was food, but dessert was by far the most important meal of the day, for her. It didn't help that the menu offered a good twenty or so options, all that sounded decadent and heavenly to her taste buds.

The pink mystery drink was halfway gone, the lovely buzz feeling going through her now ever-present. At the mention of the beverage, she gingerly picked up the glass and took another swallow - there wouldn't be much left of it, after a few more sips.

"Delicious," she assured her dining companion, moving to offer her the glass in an almost dare-like fashion, "Would you care to try it, before I finish it off?"

Katrina pondered that question for a moment, wondering whether or not it was a trap. Their waitress seemed busy enough that she wasn't in the immediate area of the table. It wasn't like she was going to get in trouble or like the over-stressed woman was going to come back and demand to see her identification card because she had taken a sip of something.

And so what if she did?

She reached out to accept the glass without so much as a second thought, bringing it to her lips to take a small sip. It was surprisingly -- Sweet. Of course it would be. Prissy had pretty much demanded it be that. It was also really, really good.

"Mm." Kat handed the glass back to her friend so that she could savor the last bit of her birthday drink. "We'll have to come back here for my twenty-first next year. You should find out what the bartender put in there. Or what it's called."

She opened her mouth to respond just as the pink bedazzled iPhone lit up, a chipper, bubbly tune chirping from its speakers as the screen grew pink and the phone itself began to buzz, sliding around the small table as it vibrated urgently. Prissy glanced down at the screen, a single finger moving out to slide across the alarm's Snooze option.

Hmph.

"Movie is starting soon." Her steak was half finished, but she was more than full from the portion she was able to stuff down, in between alcohol and pink lemonade. "I suggest we come back and pick up some cheesecake on our way out - you can ask the bartender about the drink then? I won't remember."

One hand moved out, waving dismissively. The other moved to her purse, plucking out her billfold. A platinum credit card was slid out of its nestled home, then moved to the air and was waved around impatiently. It would probably do her good to sit back in one of the movie theater's chairs, giving her time to digest before she stuffed more food in her mouth.

"Waitress, check please."
