Okay, this might be a little long...
First of all, I'm feeling the gay coming from Disney. We have people of color, we have women, gay things are obviously next. I feel like Kylo Ren could be trans, but obviously I don't want to get my hopes up and it's more a personal headcanon (also not supported by.. a lot of things.) I kind of want Kylux to be canon? Yes, really. Kylo Ren has a redemption arc and drags Hux with him. Or dumps Hux for the Light. Or they both stay evil space boyfriends. Hux is just... generally less redeemable.
Um! I also am one of the few people who wouldn't mind a lack of redemption for Kylo. I can see that happening too. My main hope for Kylo is that we get to see him make that lovely Adam Driver smile...
Look! So cute! So nerdy!!
And I think Rey would be a great lesbian. Or ace/aro girl. I think Jessika Pava (pretty pilot) and she would be a great couple... But I also love Stormpilot! (Why not have both, you might ask, and I would agree.)
Hm... I've heard the theory that Kylo will lose a hand. I don't have positive or negative feelings on that.
I want more Phasma. I want maskless Phasma. We all know that she could pull off that reveal~
And last but not last, General Leia Organa-Solo deserves to be happy. She's my main reason for wanting that Kylo redemption arc.
(Sorry, this was a little scatter-brained!!)

Ven Loki Kaiser Khorosho if Rey beats Kylo through the power of the Dark Side and Kylo turns to the Light Side as a result, finishes his training under Luke, THAT would be amazing. This would be too amazing to ever come true! If this happened, I'd probably cry tears of joy in the movie theatre hahaha (well maybe not literally) [internally screaming at this idea]

Rey's backstory. Basically her origins. I'm dying to know who her parents are. D; What made Luke go into exile, what went down.... More Captain Phasma. <_< More Lightsaber duels and space battles. How Kylo/Ben came to be this way. Can't think of anything else honestly.

There are three things I want in the next films more than anything else. First, I want for them to feel like they are their own films. I understand the safety involved in having TFA function as the setup for the next films, but I certainly didn't like it. I didn't leave the theater with any sort of strong feelings toward the movie I just watched. Rather, I left thinking about the next movie. Now, that was more than likely intentional, but was it necessary? The next movies didn't need a hype man. They didn't need something to help prop them up. It's Star Wars, man! It sells itself! So make Ep 8 it's on thing!
And on that note... PLEASE DO NOT REHASH ESB. That's all. Make Ep 8 (and 9 for that matter) feel somewhat original. Give it some crazy plot twists, something unexpected. Make it less predictable than TFA, PLEASE.
And lastly, can we please get at least SOME exposition in the next few films? Leaving a theater with more questions than answers is one thing. But I left the theater with almost no answers and no explanations for damn near everything in the film. I'm not asking for everything to be explained to me right off the bat. But at least explain SOMETHING!
Oh, and some epic space battles would be great.

More character development. I felt that everything was so rushed this last round. Just too many fast friends.
And I know it might be sacrilege, but having the Falcon refurbished into a new vehicle would be kind of awesome.

Also, I would love to see Lea get some Jedi training in and wield a light saber or use a bit of the force herself. Ilove how theymade Rey such a strong woman character, but I want to see this expanded.

I loved VII a LOT but the similarities to ANH were the one thing that made me feel kinda "ripped off" after watching it. You know, while I was in the theatre, I kinda thought "okay, now when is the big surprise coming?" ... and it never came. I hope Episode VIII will give us something completely unexpected. A crazy plot twist, a shocking reveal (not something like... Rey is Luke's daughter hooray), ... 3nodding I'm very excited about the possibilities but at the same time a little worried that they won't dare to stray too far from the familiar formula.

Seriously though. I'll be disappointed if after hyping it up with things like "It's going to be weird", "It's going to be dark." and "We'll be doing things that have never been done in a SWs movie before." it just turns out to be super vanilla. Bring on the epic plot twists.

I want Finn to become a Jedi. I want Rey to not be related to Luke Skywalker. I want Kylo Ren to go full dark, no redemption. I want to know more about the galaxy's political situation (though I don't want a full movie about politics) and I need to know more about the Knights of Ren. I want Phasma to be the bad-a** I expected her to be from the push her toys got. I want to find out if anybody but Luke can see Force ghosts...or if all this time he's just been crazy.

There were all of maybe two surprising moments in the entire film, one of which wasn't particularly surprising, considering it was already done in the EU. *cough* Jacen Solo Kylo Ren *cough*

Hmmm... well Han's death and Kylo's origin were spoilt for me, so I can't say now whether I would have been surprised or not. (About Han's death probably not, you could see that coming from a mile away) But I tried to stay away from spoilers, speculation and trailers as much as I could, so these were the surprising moments for me: - Finn being the main character (yup, I only knew that one promo still of him in the desert) - Poe dying - Poe NOT dying lol - Kylo's face
