“Yes yes, your fist did collide with my face.” You a**. Eridia laughed lightheartedly and she slowly reached for her bag. “Leeroi almost got strangled to death that night…. WOW those were wild times!”
The highblood chuckled and got a hold of her bad with ‘her’ smile. Was it obsessive? Malicious? Or a combination of both? She remembered how she was going to use her ribbon as a murder weapon back then. She never saw that satin ribbon ever again. Did they safely guard it somewhere as a reminder? That would be creepy and thoughtful. Eridia’s left hand searched inside the bag, yet she did eye contact with Psygki. “Believe it or not, much has changed…..” She said with hint of darkness. “We aren’t kids anymore! We’ve, well at least I, have matured.” slightly.“Why I brought it up? Well because I still owe you something…” She leaned closer to Psy with a smirk. Her hand touched her cold weapon, she was tempted to slit her throat right there. But that wasn’t her objective tonight, no. Yet putting up a show wouldn’t hurt. Eridia took what she wished to give to the redblood with a fast motion, pretending to take out her weapon when in reality… “Here.” She extended her arm from the opposite side with a envelope at hand, sealed with a ‘T’ wax seal. “Never heard from you while you recovered.” She said as a matter of fact. “I do not think you remembered how I tried contacting you via letters now do you my dear Psygki? Did you… receeeeive anything back then?”

“Oh goodness yes, wild and fun times indeed!” You horrible b***h. Psykgi would love to see her try to strangle her moirail again. Key word being, of course, try. More likely, of course, that she would end up broken and battered again, maybe even dead, and Psy and Leeroi would be there to make it happen. Or, even, just laugh. Delightful thoughts indeed! Psykgi easily picked up on the darker notes in Eridia’s voice, and her pumpbiscuit pounded feverishly with excitement. This was it, was it, then! The culmination of their little game! This was what they had been playing towards all along. “No, we’re not wigglers anymore playing at war.” Psykgi said, grinning sharply, revealing a great deal of her tusks in the process. She tensed, eyes blazing, even as she feigned an air of relaxation. If battle was where this was leading, a fight to the death, then she’d do it. If Eridia thought she could kill her easily, then the lavender blood had another thing coming - she was, after all, in Psy’s hive, surrounded by her lusus (who was not happy at the clear display of threat and quite ready to strike) and… well… Psy hadn’t survived this long with her caste and /personality traits/ without being able to defend herself. “And just what” she said smoothly, as she watched (idly or eagerly, it was hard to tell) Eridia go through her bag, “Do I owe you?” An envelope was not what she was expecting. A little off guard, she took the letter from Eridia, observing its front and back curiously. “What’s this?” she asked, tracing the opening of the envelope carefully. She frowned, puzzled, at Eridia’s reply. Had she… received anything? No? Yes? Psy couldn’t remember. If she had, she might have tossed it out without reading it. Or it had gotten lost in the mail. “No, I don’t beliiieve I did…” she said, intrigued, “You wrote me?” she opened the seal carefully - it was not something she saw every day, after all, and she didn’t want to ruin such a perfect memento of this bizarre visit. “How very considerate of you to think of me at such a trying time!” she said, the sarcasm returning as she found her balance again. It was very unlikely that she would have gotten communications of any sort from Eridia at that time - Azrael would have made a note of it, at least. This was all a part of the game… and a very good move on Eridia’s part. What would this move - and it’s next stage - reveal about that unpleasant little depths of Eridia’s mind? What would come next? What, in other words, was the point? Inquiring minds wanted to know.

“Of course I did!” Eridia had ignited her sense of curiosity, which was good. The only thing that ruined the card’s genuity was the seal but she didn’t have time to buy another. She had to make a note of that if she ever did something like this again. “After aaaall, I did things and saaaaid things I shouldn’t have.” Her eyes slightly widened as Psy carefully opened the envelope and with swift movement she snatched it back with a sly smile. “Na-ah-aaaah.” The highblood taunted. “It’s quite rude to read other trolls letters without their consent.” She should know, Eridia loved reading other’s letters. “I felt really offended when I didn’t receive a ‘get well soon’ card from you. Not even a measly present!” She laughed and took /Psy’s/ mug from the coffee table by ‘accident’ and sipped on her tea. “Ooooh~” She breathed out. “Silly meee.”“Aaaanyways! Since you didn’t even bother to apologize to the whole... ‘beating you up’ business,” She opened the letter quite amused. The redblood had this all wrong, wasn’t it clear how ingenious she was? Psygki mistakenly thought the letter was for her but in reality… “I took the liberty to write one!” Which meant the letter was, “An apology note! From you, to me.” Eridia chuckled and drank more tea. Hopefully the other’s ‘germs’ wouldn’t kill her. She even wrote it in red pen. The calligraphy, beautiful. One of her best works. So nice was her, and her letter. Oh her letter was just what she needed to piss or harass her. “Would you like me to read it for you or do you wish to read it out loud?”She wasn’t giving her any options.

Psykgi blinked as the letter was snatched from her hands. Other… trolls? But it had such an obvious Tsifer-related seal? What was Eridia playing at, even? She would admit, freely, to feeling a little disgruntled, especially when Eridia took her tea and drank it. What in Alternia was she up to? What was her plan because damn it, she had one. And Psykgi had to know. She had to know she…
…
What the?
“A what.” An… apology note. From Psykgi to Eridia. That Psy had clearly not written. This was new. This was outright bizarre. What sort of insecurities and deviant mental states would produce… this?
Psy stared at her, stunned, for a few seconds. “Why don’t you…” she stifled her incredulous laughter, “Refresh my memory?”

“With pleasure!” Eridia chuckled and got comfy on the couch, crossed her legs and placed both hands on her knee. She took another sip, cleared her throat and set the mug on the table. “You see Psy, I tried sooo hard getting in touch with you and Lee after things went horribly wrong. Because I felt,” She clutched her her chest slowly as if she tried to create a dramatic atmosphere. “ashamed for what I did.” The highblood’s mouth turned into a scowl. “So for that, I feel sorry.”“Sorry that you two couldn’t possibly handle my intellectuality!” Eridia chuckled and played with one of her side curls. “Since you couldn’t apologize or rather didn’t…” The lavender-blood wiggled the letter in her hand with a smile. “Though I feel like the writing doesn’t really… grasp your tone.”

Psy would say that Eridia should feel ashamed, but if she was being perfectly honest, Eridia had done nothing that a highblood should be ashamed of. She’d just been incredibly, incredibly... horrible. intellectuality??? “Well, gosh! I guess we’re going to fix that right now, aren’t we? I do have a distinctive tone, don’t I?” she said cheerfully, “Let me take a look…?” not that it wasn’t ‘her’ letter, anyway. She held out a hand for the letter again,
She had an idea.

“Ah yes. It is hard to imitate a tone such as yours!” She said, and considered whether or not to give it back to Psygki. Maybe it was time to let her play her cards. After all, they were both players of the same game. Eridia shrugged, casually handing the letter back between her index and middle finger. “But I do hope I somewhat encapture your plain tone.” The highblood laughed once more, this time she took her own mug and served herself some tea. “I know its content like the back of my hand.” She said as a matter of fact. Indeed she memorized each and every single sentence she wrote. “It’s truly a work of art!” She said, cleared her throat and began to recite for the other.

And, of course, Eridia was going to recite it for her. Psykgi gamely followed along as the purpleblood read. She fought to keep her face placidly pleasant, even as she wanted to burst forth into laughter - honestly, she was surprised she she wasn’t somehow shattering from the force of her mirth (haha, mirth). Between the ridiculously flowery language, Eridia’s overblown (and overacted) manner of reciting, and the almost attempt to mimic Psykgi’s peppy manner of speaking, it was definitely… something. “It certainly is a work of… art.” or… something she agreed, nodding, managing (with a sense of gleeful victory) to keep a straight face. She folded the letter up and feigned contemplation. “Actually, it’s quite good but, do you know, I think it would be soooo much better if I actually wrote it - mind if I go do that now?” she asked, grinning.
“Excuse me.” She left Eridia with the teaset (and the many watchful eyes of Ma’am) and went up to her second floor loft. She got out her own pen, stationary, and envelope, and - with Eridia’s letter open as a template, began to compose her own version. She wrote carefully and neatly, looking over her letter before she signed it, doodled a smiling troll face in the corner (hers, of course,) folded it, slipped it in the envelope, and glued it shut. She wrote Eridia’s name in her best /slightly messy, oops/ cursive on the front and fanned the envelope in the air to help it dry.
“Here you go!” she said, later, returning to the table and handing Eridia the letter, “Oh gosh, don’t open it now!” she admonished quickly, before Eridia could make a move, “Letters are supposed to be read in one’s own hive?” She poured herself another mug of tea, glancing at Ma’am - the swarm wasn’t fussing at her, so it was probably not poisoned or tampered with, beyond Eridia’s saliva. With a lusus like hers, Psykgi could tolerate a little grossness in her food. She took a sip of tea and smiled, eyes bright and mischevious. “Right?”

Eridia was curious, utterly curious. What was she up to? The highblood would’ve taken the time the redblood left to tamper with the tea set but feeling Ma’am’s little eyes watching her every move prevented her from doing so. Instead she took her mug, with a shaking hand, and tried to distract herself. Once Psygki came back with an envelope, the lavenderblood was about to open it. If she hadn’t stopped her, the envelope would be ripped open by now. “True.” She forced a smile. “It’s all a matter of etiquette no?” She chuckled and took her bag. Eridia was dying to know what the other wrote and she just couldn’t resist. “Oh, I do apologize but I must be going now. I just remembered I have an important business to attend to!” Another lie. Eridia accidentally made her tone clear enough for the other to understand she just wanted to open the damn thing. “It’s been nice seeing you again my dear Psy.” She chuckled. “Ma’am.” She her body slightly inclined at, some, of the swarm and with that, Eridia let herself out and hurried to the station to catch the next train home. When she got onboard Eridia sat at a window seat and she opened her bag, got one of her daggers out and used it to pry open Psygki’s letter and to her amusement it said the following: Quote: Dear Ms Eridia Tsifer, After our (multiple) altercations in the swamp, I felt that I was completely remiss in not sending you an apology! Gosh! What an oversight! Anyway, I hope that these few, heartfelt words make up for our misunderstandings in some way:
(Pg 2) I SERIOUSLY DISLIKE YOU }:]
(Pg 3) Anyway, it’s been tons of fun! See you again soon!
- yours, Psykgi Mentha Eridia couldn’t help but laugh. That was such an interesting game and she was willing to play it again if she was. The highblood spend the rest of her trip back home chuckling and rereading Psygki’s letter with some refreshments that were given out. This was just the beginning.
