Draven hadn't known how to explain everything, there wasn't much to say. He loved his father, but there were times that he would have rather been on his own then tagging long. With an inward sigh, Draven looked back towards Abie as he spoke of only knowing his brother. That was something he never knew, other siblings, he was an only child as far as he was concerned. His father never found another woman after whatever happened to his mother.

"That sounds like fun, having a brother. As far as I know, I was an only child."

Draven stopped and looked down the alley way that Abie had pointed out and mentioned food. It was at this time that his stomach rumbled. It had been a while since he had eaten and the smells from that are were tempting.

"Food sounds great about now. Breakfast was a long time ago." He looked down the way towards where his father's stand would be and looked back to where they were to head. Adventure, it would be his chance to explore more of the place and learn more about his friend and perhaps even himself in the process.

Abie chuckled. "It is...on top of having a Twin...Normally one would think we didn't get along that well with how opposite we are...but---" he turned giving the other a wide grin. "That just makes growing up fun!"

He paused as they walked through the short-cut. "Oh cool! The weapon's merchant is here today!" he nodded at a stall set up a few stalls away from them. "The merchant is the sibling to the food stall next to him. They like staying side-by-side...did you wanna take a peek?" He smirked.

Draven wandered a step or two behind Abie as they cut down the alleyway towards the other street where there was promise of food. He had no real comment towards this brother thing, but wondered what it would have been like if he had someone else aside from his father to talk to. Sure there was the other caravan people, but then they didn't converse much outside their own trades and such. With a small sigh, Draven glanced up towards the sky as they walked. He nearly ran into Abie when he stopped and pointed out the weapons merchant.

Peeking over his shoulder and glancing over at the blades, daggers and the like laid out for sale. They seemed interesting enough in the very least. He could take a gander at them, no hard in that.. Right?

"Siblings, huh? Why not? Couldn't hurt to look anyways." He nodded "But first, lets get something to eat. It smells so good that I could eat everything."

Abie chuckled as he led the other to the sibling stalls. He smiled at the brothers, having done work with them before he was greeted rather warmly. He explained what was up and both boys got a free meal. Abie gave a cheer as the two were directed to sit on barrels between the stalls. Laqui wandering out and curling up on its owner's foot. Accepting small bits of food Abie gave him. The youth chuckled.

"When their young like this I noticed they like watered down plants...their not poking at meat yet, but a few of the older ones have started snapping at the meats set out for them." He sounded hopeful.

Draven watched kinda from a distance even if he was right behind Abie, watching and backed up a step when he gave a cheer. Really? Was that something to really cheer for? A free meal? He could get one of those back with his father. A little confused and befuddled he merely shook his head as he followed behind Abie to where they were to sit. A platter of meat and bread sitting before him.

"Perhaps its easier to digest then meat at that young age?" Draven pondered as he watched the small snaptrotter as it ate the small bits of food.

Draven would have offered some as well, but figured it wouldn't accept anything from the hand of a stranger. All the same, it was fun watching the small critter.

"Do you get to interact with any other species? Or just the snaptrotters?" He asked thoughtfully thinking it would be fun to be around many different kinds.

Abie smiled. "Mhm. Infant Janarim's....Prezi...ah....a few others I can't name off the top of my head. But the little guys have plenty of playmates back home. Though, the Prezi are the same size as them...those Janarim are big little punks." He swallowed a bite before shaking his head. "Literally. Cause of their size they like to try to bully the smaller ones. We got a few fighters among the Prezi. Those little tykes are spitfires when they wanna be."

He chuckled. "Just the other day the biggest Janarim pup got taken down by the biggest Prezi kitten. Granted...the pups aren't at the stage where they need to be mindful of their claws...and their plates haven't fully developed. For now its a even challenge...but later...nope. Janarim wins." he blinked as he looked down at Laqui. "Maybe. Not sure what a adult Janarim and a adult Snaptrotter could do to each other."

Draven listened as Abie talked about all the other critters that he got to interact with. It sounded really fun, more then what he was doing at current. With a chuckle that almost caused him to choke on the piece of meat he was chewing Draven looked back at the infant snaptrotter.

"I have a feeling it might be a stalemate if the two kinds were to come together." He commented, "Janarim do sound like little rascals, wanting to cause trouble. Must take a firm hand to handle them when they are older."

Watching the infant a little longer, Draven turned his attention towards the weapons merchant. Looking at what weapons he could see from where he was. He could see swords, pole like weapons, even coils of whips.

"So what type of weapon you thinking of picking up?" Draven looked back towards Abie, having no idea what types of arms a rider would take up.

Abie blinked as he looked over at the weapons stall. He swallowed before answering. "Lance, Spear or Trident....I think. I gotta ask my Mentor again." He tilted his head watching the other. "What caught your interest? I would think you would of stayed a merchant with your Dad."

He leaned back, letting little Laqui poke his little head out more and more. The infant chirped at Draven, sitting on Abie's knee as if begging for food. Abie wanted to see Draven's reaction...

Draven gave a weak glare towards Abie, the mention of staying as a merchant was the last thing that Draven wanted. Sure the thrill of travel was there, but it was boring! Doing the same thing day in and day out, arguing with people that want to pay less for an item that was clearly worth more. It was a headache he was ready to get rid of. The sooner the better, in his honest opinion.

"That life is boring, and just one great big headache. i have a habit of biting off a customer's head if they want to try and haggle something down to almost just taking it without paying. I would rather not be a merchant." He looked away a bit. The swords look interesting to me, just I think I might hurt someone or myself when trying to swing one around." This brought another small chuckle from the teen.

Draven looked down at the small snaptrotter as it chirped at him. Blinking a couple of times he tore off a small bit of meat and offered it to the infant. "Being a rider sounds like it would be fun as well. It'll be something to think about at least. Move on from an upbringing and onto something else. I will be green at it, but it will be something other then dealing with people on a merchant's level."

Abie was all smiles till he heard a familiar whistle, sitting up a little. He glanced down as Laqui chewed thoughtfully on the small piece of meat it was given. Abie leaned out a bit. Then smirking looked at Draven... "Dray. I think I mentioned before that I had a Mentor...if not, then quick explanation. He's the man who saved me and my brother from a abusive master. He's a experienced Rider. He's walking down this strip now...with him is his partner and my brothers teacher. My Mentor's name is Laofay, he's pretty well known among some of the more regular merchants. Next to him is Orroi."

As Abie spoke he shifted to lean on a barrel to wave down the street. The two males walking up were impressive. The taller of the two males was a pure blood Oban. His darkly colored skin made his bright red eyes and blood red hair stand out all the more. Half of his waist length hair was weaved tightly together in several overlapping locks, the rest flowed out underneath and around his upper body in loose spirals. The complicated tribal patterns which covered his shoulders, chest and midsection were the inspiration for the ink which covered a few of Abie's own scars. Unlike most Riders however the ink was a rich sky blue, much like the twins there was a band across his eyes to help reduce Sun glare. Though Laofay's band was skinner than theirs. The male's fiery crystals were scattered among the markings. One either side of the imposing male were twin red and blue Janarim. Abie knew them well. One was the prized breeding female of his Mentor's pack, the other was her twin Brother. Laofay's personal mount.

Standing at the left side of the imposing male was a half-breed. Orroi, was high born on both sides of his heritage. Though his skin was a creamy caramel tone, his knee length hair was a rich blue. All of the male's hair was in several braids all braided back tightly together. The most standout thing about the graceful male had to of been his eyes. One eyes was a melted gold, while the other was a rich ruby. Given that. Orroi actually disliked the color of gold, so he dressed mostly in silvers, rustic reds and deep blues. Another standout thing had to of been his pale blue crystals which were scattered in a few key places.

Abie glanced to Draven. "Their a perfect match...in a sense they became our Parents...and live up to that many times."

Draven looked up and gave Abie a bit of an odd look when he was called 'Dray', that was certainly a strange name to call him. Shifting on the barrel that he was seated upon, Draven looked back towards the two older men that were headed in their direction, impressive, yes, but also a little intimidating at the same time.

"They look the sort to take in others that need the help." He frowned at the idea of Abie being under the care of an abusive master, it also kinda puzzled him. "Abusive Master? Someone was mean to you?"

Tilting his head a little, he soon shook it and turned back to what was left on his plate, not exactly hungry anymore. His safety bubble seemed to grow smaller out here and with these men coming closer to where Draven and Abie were, It was making him feel a little small. He was also feeling that he should get back to his father's market stand.

Abie blinked as the two males stopped at another stall. "Draven. If you wanted to go back to your Dad, feel free to. I know my Mentor is sorta imposing to most people. He's even harder to get along with." the youth chuckled. "I wouldn't be upset. I know where to find you if I wanna bug ya again." he smirked. "Next time, I'll teach you a thing or two about using a weapon. Though I'm learning to use a pole-arm. Same basics."

Laqui gave a long whistle-trill. Abie looked down with a smile. "That's their family call. Its a good sign. Laqui really likes you. So...that makes two of us excited to see you again." The youth stood up, Laqui slipping back into his shirt.

"Its probably time I got back to the stand anyways," Draven chuckled as he slipped from the barrel and headed around to walk past Abie. "Get back before he thinks someone has carted me off to some unknown place under his nose."

Draven looked down at the small Snaptrotter as it whistled at him. This cause the teen to smile even more, giving another quick pet before it slipped back into hiding in its master's shirt. "Next time we meet I might have a companion of my own." He skipped almost backwards waving before dashing down the alley the came back towards his father's area.

It wasn't that he really wanted to leave his new friend, but the day was passing quickly and he didn't want his father to fret. Perhaps the next time he met up with Abie, he would have something for the snaptrotter as well, he would have to see. Anything could happen.
