There was no talking them out of it..why was he even trying to talk them out of it!? He was loosing his mind, this was the proof of it, he would die, crazy and 'nice'. "Fine! Geeze..You two can do whatever you like. I don't get it, but if your insane little hearts are set on it. I can't actually stop you." A small smile on his face, he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon and he was secretly grateful for the offer of kindness. It gave him a little bit of hope for surviving the otherwise bleak situation.
They knew what they were getting into, and they didn't appear to have any higher expectations of them. They seemed to at least understand that there were kinder ways to kill a person. Especially since their captors didn't seem to be openly seeking to save any of them. At least not him, he couldn't speak on the state of his fellow captives. "Thank you...both of you.." Muttered softly, eyes darting to the far wall even as he spoke. He couldn't believe himself, his own weakness. They deserved some praise though, he wasn't sure he'd be able to match them in their decency were the positions reversed. He wouldn't forget, the kindness of the offer; of the calculated risk on their end.
"Maybe next time, if we meet outside this s**t hole, I won't try to stab either of you too hard?" Prehnite joked darkly, fidgeting a bit more in his space.

Erebus nodded when Venice spoke of balance, getting a flash of memory of when the Code spoke of it. Light would always cast shadows and you could always find light in the dark if you looked hard enough so it was logical that it wouldn't work in trying to destroy one or the other completely. "You're welcome, though you don't need to thank us for having decency." He said with a small smile. The dark joke almost made the Squire chuckle but he held it in. He glanced over at Venice and gave a raised eyebrow. "Do you know how many captives there are? I hadn't gotten the change to find out though if need be we could ball park how much water to bring."

Shaking his head at the officers words he felt a small smile tugging at his lips. "Might be on other side. Torture is not right though - to anyone. Kill fast or not at all. No torture - is dishonorable. Won't be part of that, would dishonor name and family." And that was something he wouldn't do. he had a reason for being as he was, for the offer of water. It wasn't to get on the others good side but because it was right thing to do and it was honorable. He had a set of morals and followed them, as much as he could anyway.
Laughing he nodded his head once. "Would be nice. First must see you well so you can be free when others come for you." They would need to see to his health, keep him with food and water, so he could get out of here when his fellow officers came for him. He would do his best to help the officer, to see that he had strength enough to get out safely when the time came.
Looking to Erebus he shook his head. "Just came...we can find out...would be good. need to check on others too. Some may be worse." He didn't like the idea of that. This would bother him, especially since he was on the side that did this. This wasn't right.

That at least he could agree with wholeheartedly. Torture didn't make sense unless one was looking to yield certain results. It was better to kill someone quick, not drag it out over days..That was just cruel. He didn't exactly have any family to dishonor, or much of a name, it was the principal of the thing though. There were better ways. Even for the purpose of revenge.
"Yeah, the gratitude isn't something I offer lightly. I think you undervalue the idea of human decency." Prehnite shook his head, blinking blearily at the pair, ******** he was tired. He'd really been too panicked before to even register it. The idea of doing anything more than dozing with one eye open had seemed terrifying..
"You two have fun working on that." He wasn't going to think about numbers. He didn't even know how many of them they had, more than one, less than a hundred? Surely they hadn't taken on more people than they could cage. No one was that stupid.
"I think-I think I'm gonna nap...Just for a sec." He couldn't help himself, he yawned, and hoped that their presence had bought him some time. "Try not to piss off anyone powerful in the meantime yeah?" He was a mosquito working in a hornets nest. He knew well enough that he wasn't as much a threat as he was a nuisance, at least to some.
Sleet Tempest Snape We can probably wrap this baby up! Natsuko-Neko You guys are always so fun! Thank you!

When Venice mentioned others coming to get the captives he couldn't help but wish it wouldn't have to end like that and instead they would be let go. However he wasn't naive enough to believe that would actually happen so he kept that wish to himself and instead nodded with the other Knight. "Alright, lets try to do that fast so we can get them the water they need quickly." He said, while agreeing that there were probably others who were worse off then Prehnite. He looked back at the Lieutenant when he spoke up and gave a nod when the other said he was going to name. "Rest, we will be back soon with water." He said then gave a small smile that was almost a smirk. "No promises on the last one." He joked then turned back to Venice.

Shaking his head he sighed. "No...just not here." Was it that rare, or uncommon, for people here to be decent? That idea was sad but people were people and prone to such things. But to expect it or seem like it was just...normal.
"Will work on it...and be back." He was sure of it. They'd help him, and the others if they could. Watching as the Lieutenant went to sleep, which was likely needed, he sighed and shook his head. Turning to Erebus and nodded his head and pet the others face gently. "Yes, must be quick. Cannot let them go without." Especially water, it was such a vital need! How could these people, who were good, be so...so uncaring!?
"Wish for good sleep..." He said to the Lieutenant, wishing him a good sleep. This was a sad state of things and as he made to leave he turned his dark eyes onto Erebus, he wasn't happy with any of this. Actually he almost wanted to go home and curl up in his bed. If it wasn't for the need to help he was likely to go do that...or wander around the city as he'd taken to doing lately.
