It was at the words of her young fledgling that Phact moved forward and placed a warm, yet firm hand on Sabine's shoulder. The older senshi did not need to speak to Sabine. Her actions said it all: stay calm.
"Venicewas it?" Phact said, turning to gaze at the knight in question as well as the new knight joining. Her smile never faltered as she offered him a welcoming nod. "And you as well Havasu." She said looking back at the male now behind her with a half smile. "I wish I could say not killing was an option. And in all manner of speaking, it is the route I too have choice. However..."
She released Sabine's shoulder and gazed around once more. "It is something everyone in this war must face. None of us know when we will be faced with a choice that results in the lost of life. But that moral battle is neither here, nor now. I just ask of you all to keep in mind that the line between black and white may not be as define as we wish."
Now she looked at those who held up their crystals. "Now, if memory serves me correctly, these crystals are unable to kill." She added, this time removing her own. "A sleep aid, Caedus called them." She used that moment to nod towards Slievenamon in agreement with her memory. But her face shifted ever slightly into that of of worry. "Though I do hope you used it safely and have recovered some? If you are not feeling back to yourself, please, have a seat near Havasu. The big lug can help keep you warm." She motioned behind her before gazing at Havasu with a wink.
"I say there is something here. While I too wish we had more information, I believe there is a way to use this chance for that. He has offered us a chance at a strong hold. A place where not only agents are but...information." She added gazing around, eyes finally resting on Sideour looking for confirmation. To which the creme haired senshi nodded her head in both agreement and encouragement for her to continue.
"I believe we would be foolish to pass up this chance. To learn what makes them tick. To see their world. Peace can only exist when two sides come to an understanding. We have warriors. Those who stand here tonight..."
And with that Phact stopped and looked down at the newest member of the group. A rather large, talking feline. She have expected it to be Isis until the voice turned male. "Those who stand here tonight, I believe, do not seek to spill more blood but peace through other means. And I believe Caedus is giving us another means."
It was then she saw the confusion on some of the new pages faces. A smile and Phact slipped into teacher mode for a moment. "Another guardian cat. They have more abilities than to just speak mind you." She motioned to both the one behind her and the one in the middle of the group. "And now that we magically appear to have two, one of the better perks is being used. Aura blocking."
Had Phact not placed her hand on the younger senshi's shoulder, Sabine would have more than likely gone into a full on tantrum. Her cheeks had puffed up and her right boot was tapping hard against the stone beneath her. Her arms and come to cross under her chest, tea held in her right hand as she stewed at how much people seemed to accuse her of trying to lead them down an evil road.
It was a fact of warfare. People died. She'd read up enough on tactics and war to realize that it would invariably come to pass that she was going to have to make the choice to kill someone. She knew - deep down - that she was ready to do so if it meant keeping the rest of the people around her safe.
She would do it.
But, Phact's light touch extinguished the quickly burning fuse, and Sabine had to sigh slowly to force herself to relax and stay calm.
"Think what you wish..." She said softly then. "But, I spoke with Caedus... Just a while ago in fact. He assured me the crystals are harmless. It's up to us to decide how to use them...." She said, watching the group. "I don't think he's dangerous. Alone, a stranger in a strange land, sure, but not a danger."
She looked around the group, noting the two cats. Well that was good at least.
"But... I think I've said my piece, three times over... So I'll give the floor to whoever wants to speak...." She took a step back and also away from Phact, sipping at her tea as she watched the group in silence.
---
Benedict, Guardian Cat
Benedict sniffed and flicked his tail as the second cat appeared, running through the group after a squirrel of all things! "So unrefined." He sniffed, sticking his nose a bit up in the air. "Please, Miss, do not lump me in with his base lot!"
Walking along the edge of the fountain he stopped again to ensure that everything was perfectly in place, taking a moment to lick his paw and pat down a few stray tufts of fur. "Really... chasing a squirrel..."
Erebus came to a stop by Venice as Sabine started to talk and voice her opinion on what had happened the other day. As she spoke he nodded thoughtfully to himself, agreeing with what she was saying for the most part. "Venice." He whispered back in greeting. It wasn't until Venice spoke up that he thought about whether they would be killing them or not. He thought about the times he had fought Negaverse agents and tried to picture himself killing any of them and just, couldn't. When the other Knight turned to him with the question he gave a nod and a smile. "Yes, sounded good to me."
At the Pluto Squire who passed out the bagels and gave Venice is jacket he gave a smile and a quite thank you. He kept quite as couple more of them started to speak up as well as another Guardian Cat joining them. He listened to the explanation the apparent leader of the meeting gave about their intentions and a quick glossed over overview on the cats. "I think at this point, no matter if we trust or distrust Caedus, we have to wait and see how events play out." He said, finally speaking out a bit to the group. "And I'm Erebus, Squire of Saturn." He gave a belated introduction, almost calling himself a Page instead of Squire for a moment.

Nirvana stood there in silence, watching, listening to the others as they spoke their minds and opinions of the situation. He could sympathize with many of them, mostly those the voiced their distrust of this gift that they were all given.
He reached his hand into his pocket, rolling his fingers over the crystal that he hid there. They had been told that they were harmless, told that they could not kill. But what was the guarantee in this? They were simply words, and in the end, even he could promise that anything was safe, it just took the right person to believe it.
He waited until the others finished their words. His nerves already on edge from the talk of death and battle. It was something he signed up for, this was true, but that did not mean that he had to like it, or hell, take part in it. He would do what he could to weigh the fates of those they came across. If they were able to be saved, they deserved that chance.
"Sabine, I think the only thing we worry about is that if we go in all guns blazing, that we will forget that which makes us the light in this darkness. We are to be the ones that keep the balance, and killing those that could very easily be our allies rather than our enemies is a foolish action."
He gave a gentle smile, his words careful and guarded, he did not want to explode on the young senshi, but he was a protector, a guardian, and that was his main calling before being a fighter.
He turned his eyes to Phact, he drawing her attention for but a moment to speak his only concern. "I only think, that, since we know so little of tihs man that gifted us these lovely crystals, that we cannot know for certain that they are harmless. He owes us nothing, and in that he does not owe us the full truth. I would like to think that we can trust him, but I do not know if he will not turn on us the moment the scales tip in his favor."
He took a slow, deep breath. "You know that I will do what is right, and I agree with Phact, this is an opportunity to learn, not just strike a blow. If we can learn their technology, their operations..." He ran a hand through his hair, closing his eyes for moment, breathing slowly. "..,That alone is worth doing this."
The night prior had been a defining moment for Kastra. She had never been to a meeting of so many order aligned people before, let alone a meeting that could mean so much for them all as a group.
She had spent the rest of her night, and that day talking other mother, trying to work out what was best for her as far as following her own believes of doing what might have been the only chance they would have at this.
As always, her mother had been right, offering her wisdom in the most caring and precious of ways. A large hug, a kiss on the cheek and a softly whispered word. 'Do what you feel in your heart is right.' She had said, and it was with that that Kastra had made up her mind.
She would help where she could, but she would not go against her beliefs. She would deal no harm, cause no injury, but she would go with her comrades and discover what she could, and perhaps find a peaceful means to end this war.
She moved now through the park, she powered up and keeping mostly to the shadows when she could. It was as she continued on that she saw them, gathered there and speaking amongst themselves.
She remembered some of them from last night, and many of them she did not remember seeing at all. But, dare she come closer? Was she intruding? She lingered back, watching them for the time being, leaning against one of the large, sturdy trees.

Havasu glanced towards the blond in the teal tailcoat. "Sly.... Slieve...Slievenamon," He stumbled over her name before shrugging sheepishly. "Can I call you Sly? Took me forever to figure out how to pronounce Havasu right... hell I ended up using google translate and I think I still am doing it wrong." His smile was bright and urged the page to forgive him butchering her name.
"i'm not say Caedus is a bad guy," He continued, absently fiddling with the brim of his hat that he still had in his hands. "Just saying we don't know enough about any of this." He fell silent as Phact spoke up, only making a funny face at her when she called him a big lug. He might be a ham but he enjoyed it and most of the times he could get a rise out of the more serious senshi. He was only briefly distracted from the meeting when a large savannah cat appeared. For a split second he thought it was his cat who had somehow gotten out but then the cat spoke. That guardian cat is nearly big enough to sit on some youma, he silently observed as the meeting went on around him.
He nodded along to pretty much everything Phact said but kept his thoughts to himself and an eye on the big cat, but he did wince a bit at Sabine's reaction. She seemed to take the 'no killing' comments as a personal attack and that wasn't Hav's intent. He would have to talk to the younger senshi once the meeting was over to apologize. The squire still didn't like the idea of killing, even worse that Phact had to contemplate it as well, but they would have to cross that bridge when the got to it and with a little luck they would never cross it.
"Learning more isn't bad. I'm all game for a recon mission and you know you can't get rid of me if we go in for a fight so," He shrugged. "You got me no matter what we decide." It really didn't matter what he wanted to do with the crystals or if he trusted Death Warmed Over, AKA Caedus, since he was going to go with Phact no matter what. She could take care of herself, he knew that quite well, but he wasn't going to let any of his friends go in alone. "We don't have any 'good' negas we could ask for recon stuff? What about any purified?" He thought he saw one of those talking to Caedus at the meeting or was that at the last knight meeting where he ended up yelling at the code?

Mlinzi
Smiled up at the senshi in white and winked, "Hey pretty lady. In need of some Guardian assistance." He purred and did a quick twine about her legs before something else caught his attention. The large guardian bounded up the fountain and placed his front paws on the edge looking at the other cat. "Hey! Another Guardian! Whats up man!" He hadn't yet run into another guardian so it was a novel experience for Mel.
"Squirrel! Where?" His tail started to twitch as he bounded up onto the edge of the fountain and proceeded to circle the water... trampling Havasu in the process. "I so don't see a squirrel. Are you sure you saw a squirrel?" He glanced over his shoulder at the smaller guardian before once again his attention was grabbed by something, or rather this time someone. The large savannah cat guardian had spotted someone lurking in the shadows (Kastra).
"Hey! Hey, how are you? Whats your name? Are you here for the meeting? Or did you chase the squirrel too? I lost the squirrel" Mel had started out his greeting by shouting from the fountain rim but as he galloped towards the lone senshi he toned down his volume. He came to a stop by her feet and noticed the sandals. "Oh it is way too cold out for sandals, or are those considered flip-flops? Come on lets join the meeting. Its warmer around all the people.... and they have warm drinks. I can smell them!" He twined about the bare legs of the long haired senshi, purring loudly.

At this point, after the arrival of not one but three new faces and a cat, Sidouer was like a live wire writhing on the ground ready to zap the s**t out of the next person that wandered by despite her attempts at remaining calm and collected. While she did pay attention to the conversation, making mental notes of things she wanted to address when it came to her time to speak, most of her concentration was set on the outer limits of her aura sensing range.
However, with the addition of the second Mauvian, her annoyance level seemed to grow exponentially every time he said the word ‘squirrel’. Jade-pink ombre colored eyes fixated on the large feline as he approached the shadows still talking distractingly loud. Unable to let this last any longer than it already had she followed after him matching the cat step for step till she stood directly beside Mlinzi. “Listen!” Sidouer said in a firm yet oddly calm voice. “While I appreciate you being here to help manage our growing presence. If you’re not going to be a contributing factor in this conversation then please be quiet. Your loud shouting can… and will… end up grabbing the attention of someone we don’t want walking in on us.” The Senshi of Static left it at that then turned her attention to the newcomer.
“It is unwise to remain apart from the group. Come join us.” She motioned with her head indicating that the seemingly timid girl was to follow.
Once she had rejoined the group, the creme haired senshi resumed her spot near Phact before giving her thoughts on the matter. “My name is Sidouer. I am the Senshi of Static. I’ve been a part of this war for about two and a half years.” She introduced herself while committing to memory each face that stood around them. “I can tell you first hand that this talk of balance is nothing more than an ideology or wishful thinking. Until you’re in the thick of a battle, not these one on one skirmishes, but an actual battle you’ll continue to live in ignorance until you are able to see for yourself exactly how far the Negaverse is willing to go to achieve their agenda.”
“It is so easy to say that you are or are not willing to take a life but I know first hand how easy those lines are crossed and the repercussions of both following through and not.” She looked over at Phact and her eyes softened a bit. They had both been in that place more than once. And she could see in the other woman’s face the softening of her eyes. It was a choice both knew would happen again.
Food for thought and so she posed a question to the lot of them to emphasize her point. “Let me ask all of you this question. How absorbed in this conversation were you that you completely missed that we had a new guest standing over there?” She gestured over to where Katra stood in the shadows. “A word of caution, never become so use to your surroundings or slip into the thought process where, just because you’re stronger than normal, or have magic, that you’re safe; because you’re not. Things can change so quickly and before you know it the person next to you is dead.” There was absolutely no reason to sugar coat anything; the war in Destiny City between order and chaos was a real as the fights going on over seas in the Middle East.
The longer Sidouer continued to speak the more frustrated she was becoming and so she paused for a moment and took a deep calming breath before continuing. “As for Cadeus, I can’t get a good read on him; I don’t know if he can be trusted or not. He speaks of possibilities we could only dream of in the past, but it could also be an elaborate trap. A rose looks pretty and inviting but you can’t forget about all the thorns on the stem. He could very well be telling the truth or it could be an elaborate facade; a trap. Sure, he might be able to get us into their stronghold but it falls on us to trust that he will get us out.” She emphasized the distinct possibility that they could all be mislead into thinking that they actually had a chance to gain the upper hand, but at what cost? Everything was on the line.

The more she listened, the more her mind was being made up about her coming actions.
As those around her spoke, Phact began to shift the crystal she had in one hand ever so slightly to the side so she could use her fingers to pull at the glove on her other arm.
She only stopped a moment to gaze towards Sidouer. All too well she knew the choice of having to decide to kill or not. Sidouer had stopped her. But to this day Phact questioned if putting that agents life truly on the line would have helped them get Acrucis back sooner...
It weighed on her. But it had made the senshi face reality.
"Then let us all put this matter to rest shall we?" Phact did not wait for a single response as she exposed her forearm and placed the crystal to her own skin. As soon as it touched her skin it began to glow. Her eyes cased towards Slievenamon, the only one to admit having tried it.
Visually they could all see her tense and then she calmed her body when she spoke. "Over my years as a senshi, I have spoke to just as many agents as I have those of the White Moon. And I will tell you all flat out that for as much as their are members who will speak to you one day, those same people will attack you the next." She winced for a moment as the crystal continued to work.
Righting herself, Phact continued"I have nearly had to take a life of another to save the life of one I love. " She closed her eyes a moment, inhaled and spoke again. "And I will do it again."
This time she stumbled backwards, bumping into Sidouer who reached up to keep her friend from falling into the water.
"I will fight to protect every single one of you who has come here tonight. I will not let you face this war alone." Now she dropped to a knee and let out a groan. Still, she did not remove the crystal and she shook off anyone who reached out to her.
"We cannot move forward if we do not take a risk or realize that the line between light and dark is not defined. For as much as we believe we are heroes, they believe the same. Ask anyone one of them...especially their Captains and Generals..."

When Phact went down, Sidouer was quick to catch their falling dove and help ease her onto her knees yet she did not attempt to pull her glove hand away. Instead she kept one arm wrapped around the raven haired girl's shoulders to help keep her upright.
While most would object to what she was doing it was unfortunately necessary to fully understand the crystals so when the first person stepped close the Senshi of Static was first to speak.
“Don’t.” she warned, fixating her eyes on the group she paused a moment before continuing. “Before any of you try and stop her understand that what she is doing is removing skepticism by showing you the extent of these crystals.” Without understanding the effects there was no knowing if they were even using them properly.
“If you’re going to take energy from someone then you need to know what to expect.” Sidouer side glanced at Phact and though she knew this had to be done there was no hiding that flash of worry that crossed over her expression that seemed to ask if she was okay.

Slievenamon set her coffee mug on the edge of the fountain and chewed the last bit of bagel she held. Looking to Phact, she shook her head, but dipped it next in gratitude for the senshi's offer and concern. "Oh, I'm quite all right," she said, saying her words more to Havasu rather than the senshi of doves herself when she reflexively looked to him. "It wasn't for a long time, only enough to provoke a yawn. I'll be fine."
Her aqua eyes landed on Sabine next and her sudden words. While she said nothing, she did purse her lips a bit in understanding. Slieve was still very new to the war and didn't quite know how to go about much of what was being said and done. The most she could do now was watch and learn; the lack of experience putting her on edge a bit because she wanted to contribute more.
More fellow knights... the redhead thought when Erebus introduced him. "Slievenamon, Page of Neptune," she returned come his introduction. There was some comfort knowing she was not the only knight amidst the group, especially when there were others there and joining them. "Nice to meet you."
"Yes... Yes, to learn," Slievenamon said after Nirvana, a slight glint overtaking her eyes. She wanted nothing more than to learn, being such an endowed philomath, and wanted to swallow whole all of the knowledge being exchanged in the group. Despite the dangers, the information flow was plentiful, and satiating her hunger to learn with each word said.
Suddenly, her eyes snapped to Havasu again. "Oh, sure!" she said with a nod. "It is a bit of a mouthful, huh? Though I believe it is pronounced Sleeve-na-mon. Wish I had a choice what my name would be... It makes me sound like a sweater monster."
"A-ah, Phact!" Slievenamon cried when the senshi of doves pressed the crystal to her skin and began to waver. She almost rushed forward, her heels clicking against the park pavement, as she continued to speak despite the fatigue overcoming over. Her words throbbed her heart; such devotion to someone like her, someone she just met, was both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Slievenamon felt she didn't deserve such kindness. She stopped come sensh of static's warning. "A-are you all right...?"

Even as Sidouer moved to catch Phact she would find the Senshi of Tactics on the other side of the Senshi of Doves, helping her ease the woman to the ground. Sabine had cast the hot tea to the wayside as soon as she had seen Phact begin to get shaky. As put out as Sabine might have been with the group at large - as much as she had been feeling isolated and attacked - it was good to know that there was more than one person (Sidouer included) that was willing to see things with a pragmatic eye.
Still, she looked to Sidouer as they helped Phact to her knees, a task a bit more difficult for Sabine due to her lack of height, heels or no heels. "I wouldn't dream of stopping her," Sabine said in a quiet voice.
"I do know it can be quite draining, I tested it myself last night as well..." She said gently.
Looking at the rest of the group she didn't say anything else. Only dropped to a knee next to Phact and offered as much support to her as she could.
"I don't know about the rest of you, I know some of you haven't met Phact before today - I know some of you have known her for a long time..." Sabine finally spoke. "But, she doesn't do something unless it makes sense for it to be done. She's the closest thing to a leader I've seen or heard since I became a senshi - so if she says jump, I'm gonna jump."
She shot a glance at Havasu then, and motioned with her head for him to come give his girl a hand as well.
Cetus had remained still, and close to his cousin, until Phact acted as she did. He understood what she was doing, and why, and as much as he disliked it he bent down instead to support his cousin and keep close to her.
"I do not like killing, you know that." He studied martial arts and took it seriously, including what was and was not honorable. He did not like to do things that were not right and proper but he was also a rather negative person, often not seeing the positive in things, so this war...well he understood those who mentioned a balance but he also understood what this other side did. He had spoken with his cousin, upon finding out their were both involved the two had talked over many things. He had been learning from her and listening. She would not guide him wrong, not knowingly anyway, and he trusted her and her words because he knew her - they were family and you don't betray family - ever.
"I will help against the Negaverse, because they harm other people who are innocent." Or as innocent as anyone ever was or could ever hope to be. People were not, by nature, innocent unless they were very young. People did all manner of things wrong and as they grew so too did the misdeeds, not that he was some pure as snow person. He wasn't thinking in religious terms either. More in the terms of hurting people, back stabbing, cheating, stealing, and other acts that hurt others not to mention hurting the environment and animals. No, people were inherently this way. The Negaverse however had many members who leaned more towards the dark, did more harm than they should.
"I also want to make sure you are safe. If we do get in there...keep close." He might not be a super senshi but his years of martial arts training would help and he knew it. He could rely on his hands, and feet, as much if not more so than his magic. "I won't be going home to tell the family you've been hurt or killed." He whispered to her, even while giving her arm a squeeze. His golden eyes looking to Phact and the demo she was giving them all. "Certainly takes a lot out of a person...and fast."

Kastra stood there, kneeling down on the cold ground as the large cat came toward her. She had always found comfort in cats. She had found that she liked them more than people some times and that, in itself, made her all the more happy as the guardian talked to her.
She pet his ears, stretched his back and only stopped when the other female neared them. She stiffening at once as she heard the woman's voice call her out and then shout at the cat near her. She tensed, holding the cat to her chest for a moment, trying to calm herself and secretly protect the cat.
She did not speak as the other left, but she rose, walking slowly over to the group, only staying as far as the young feline companion went. When she was used as a reason to speak to the others, she curled in on herself. She was not the type to seek attention, and certainly was not one to deal with strangers. "Forgive me...I didn't mean to intrude at all. I just, I was listening." She spoke with a gentle voice, pointing it at her shoes. "I am Kastra...of Meditation...I ask your forgiveness..."
She took a slow breath, waiting, watching the others as they spoke. She gasping as the pale woman fell to her knees before her. She wanting to move and help her. But what good could she do? There were already two others holding her in place. "I...I'm sorry..."
Nirvana stood there, stoic, and watching the new arrivals. He gave each a nod, he smiling softly as they took up their places. He even dared to moved across the group to where the new young Senshi stood, giving her a private smile and a gentle touch to her shoulder. "You are welcome here, Kastra, do not fret. I have learned that there are many that are blunt in this war, and many do not take into account that others might not be the same."
He sighed and turned to Phact as she spoke, watching her go down, but not making a move to stop her. He knew why she was doing it, and he praised her for it. He looked to Havasu and then to Sabine, he knew he would be the same as they. He would follow Phact, no matter what. She was a leader, and he a protector, he would watch over this group if nothing else.
"I will be here at your sides...I will admit that I will look for a more peaceful solution, but I am not so naive as to think that a punch or two might not be thrown." He shook his head, lowering his eyes and taking a deep breath. "But I give my word as a knight. I will protect each and every one of you here tonight, with my life if need be. All i ask is that you have my back as well."

After he'd spoken he had moved himself to Erebus' side, keeping close to the other. His dark eyes watched as he listened to them all. They kept talking about striking at them and the opportunity this was. But all he could think about was how some were not that bad - they couldn't be. They should be saved...and to kill them all, as some would want to do (as he'd heard at the gathering the previous night) would throw off a balance possibly and than what? How big was this war even? How off was the cosmic balance? He need to know these things, had to understand and grasp things better. He couldn't ask, he doubted they even knew. But maybe he could find something, answers, somewhere. He didn't know where but he hoped they were out there. He couldn't make a decision, couldn't go in and hurt or potentially kill people without knowing some things. It left him unsettled and torn so much that when his arms went about himself it wasn't due to the cold. The jacket from Havasu had helped in keeping him warm, or at least warmer.
The tea he had warmed him inside even as he felt like turning and leaving. He didn't understand everything, how could he? But he understood enough to get the general idea of everyone talking.
Biting down on his bottom lip, normally something some might find cute, he closed his eyes for a moment as he felt a wave of tiredness sweep through him. he had been using the crystal as well, on himself, since getting it. He had already used it twice since last night. It wasn't something he said, or planned to mention at all, but he was tired and not just because of that either.
"I won't kill..." He whispered for just himself, and perhaps Erebus, to hear. "Not unless I have to." In order to save someone else...a family member or close friend - he would. But he didn't like the idea and he didn't like the idea of going down there and hurting and killing people. He would donate his energy though as it might help Caedus return home in the end, and everyone deserved to be happy and someplace they could call home - right?
But, that tone word people always disliked hearing, there was a part of him which did think some of the Negaverse did need to get hurt, or rather punished and maybe killed, but again he didn't know how it could or would throw things off. He just couldn't shut the voices up in his head which pointed him in both directions and gave good reasons for both. He needed answers and soon...before things happened if possible.

Erebus' eyes went to person to person as they gave their opinions and another Senshi joined the group. From what he could see for the most part the main two problems everyone was having that stopping the group from agreeing was trusting Caedus and the possibility for killing any Chaos member. With Havasu he agreed that protecting one another was important and something he would do no matter what ended up happening, with Sidouer he could agree that the Negaverse could go pretty far but disagreed that balance was only an ideology. He could respect Phact for the way she took charge and decided to help put some of the strife to rest even as he was worried she could get hurt. And to Slievenamon and Kastra he gave a small smile in hello.
However he didn't react beyond an aborted movement when Phact fell, aborted as she had two helpers there to catch her, until Venice whispered. He brushed a hand against the back of the Page's and gave him a nod. "I'm pretty sure no one here wants to but would do much the same if they had to." He whispered back. He still couldn't imagine himself killing anyone but then again, he refused to be the reason another person died. Not again. So it wouldn't be a stretch that if it came down to it, he would take a life to save someone else.

Havasu couldn't help but snicker at the antics of the guardian cat, even when he got squashed when the cat climbed all over him. It was the feline was a child or that dog from the movie Up. His amusement faded when Sidouer basically chewed the cat out and pointed out how the senshi who had been hiding off to the side had basically snuck up on the whole group. Hav mentally cursed and closed his eyes for a brief moment to see if he could sense anyone else close by. It stung that the new girl had slipped by his improving senses, and wider range, since he had gotten a lot better at it. Atleast he thought he was. He nodded absolutely as Sidouer continued, warning about possible unseen pitfalls regarding Cadeus while continuing his mental area check.
The sandy blond squire finished up just as Phact started to talk again and to his surprise she pulled out on of the crystal's and started to use it. He got to his feet faster then one would have expected but hesitated joining her at her side. She was already flanked by Sidouer and Sabine, he knew she was still pretty peeved over his PDA from yesterday so going over protective on her now would just make it worse. That hesitation evaporated in a instant when Phact stumbled into Sidouer, he scrambled to her side only to be shaken off by Phact' herself...well more like he hadn't quite reached her when she took a knee and waved others from coming to her aid.
He nearly told Sidouer and Sabine to shove their 'don't stop her' comments where the sun don't shine and physically remove the stone before scooping up Phact and whisking her away. Two things held him back, Phact's obvious determination regarding proving the stones were harmless and something his father said a long time ago: 'don't yell at another person while in the presence of others. It tends to make them angrier and much more vindictive.' So rather then blow his top he stood back, his teeth clenched, and for the very observant ones, a small vein jumping in his neck from the tension. Once this meeting was done he and Phact would be having a meeting of their own.
His emotions played tug-a-war between his worry and his anger as he watched Phact lose more and more energy. Worry won out by the time Sabine glanced at him, he was still steamed but he was more worried about just what the crystal was doing to Phact right then. He joined the other two senshi crouched by her side, a gentle hand shifted a few strands of hair out of her face. Once he was certain she was as well as could be expected he got to his feet and stood behind the trio, giving his support to Phact silently. This was her rodeo and he was just there for the ride... as this stunt proved.

Mlinzi was about to ask more questions of the girl cuddling him when a senshi, Sidouer, told him to hush. Apparently he was putting them all at risk so he snapped his mouth shut with a audible click and mimed zipping his lips, as much as a cat could at least.
With a last rumbling purr he detangled himself from the Kastra and followed her as she joined the group. He stuck by her side since she gave good pets as she introduced herself. Mel opened his mouth to ask more questions when he remembered Sidouer's instructions and closed it again. So many questions were running around his head he was practically bursting with them. He sat by Kastra's feet, his tail flicking across her bare legs as he tried to stifle the questions he wanted to spit out.
When Phact collapsed Mel gasped before physically muzzling himself with his own front paws over his nose. He wasn't allowed to talk! Was the lady ok? Why did she fall? Was there an attack? Mel couldn't stay sitting on his hind legs alone so he got to his feet and stalked up to Phact, practically sticking his face. She looked tired and drained but not hurt.
Puzzled, not that it was really hard to do to him, Mel turned and bounded away from the small group... his tail absently smacking Sidouer lightly. Once on the edge of the larger group he started to circle everyone, looking for anything out in the darkness that could have hurt Phact. "Nothing..." He muttered to himself before catching his slip and he snapped his mouth closed again.
