"I won't stop you from staying," she replied quietly feeling like a weight had been lifted off her chest at his insistence. "I do feel better when you're here," she admitted, so quietly she was nearly inaudible.
I am happiest with you, and that's all I need!
Her breath caught in her throat and she quickly turned away, hiding the reddening of her cheeks beneath her hair, despite Altais pushing it back. Her heart thudded in her chest and all she could think was, do you even understand the implications of such a statement?
When she looked back at him, it was after she felt the heat dissipate. "I wouldn't pick someone that didn't like you." She said firmly. If they didn't like her best friend, they had no place in her life. "I don't know if Crims would do that, but - who knows. Come on, let's go rest."

"That's good! I would hate to be trouble for you!" His eyes sparkled, saying much different things. Of course he'd want to be trouble, and of course he wanted to stay and of course he wanted....things. He just wanted all the things.
Somewhere deep inside him, perhaps he knew what he asked, but for now, his most important concern is to stay by the most important person in his life.
"Well you could, but It'd be awkward." He laughed and then followed after her, "Crims might! I don't know, I could fight but I am still weak you know." He nodded, "Can you teach me to fight too?" He chattered at her until they were in the villiage and they could rest and catch up.
The dragonfly parked their for a while longer.
