Shesha gave a bright smile, "That's nice of you to say, here's to making them all a bit envious of the fun that we are having." The idea that Shesha himself had admirers was something that pleased him quite a bit. How he hoped that such a thing were true since it meant that he might have that many more 'friends' that he could make use of in the coming days. It wasn't as though he was content to just sit still for long after all. Instead he would continue on with his own games. As Damissan asked him about what history he might change he gave a humming sound, "That is a good question, there are many things I wouldn't mind seeing changed, though mostly just little things here and there that will make me look good." Like writing the first part of his life out completely, that was something he could go for. Reaching out Shesha took Damissan's hand in his, "Let's." Shesha said simple, more then eager to get back to the party, wanting nothing more then share the dance with Damissan. It would be fun to see all of those who would watch the dance, certain that there would be many. Definitely a way to strike up both envy and interest, both of which were useful in their own ways. Here was just to hoping that some fan of Damissan didn't attempt to pull a knife on him. Such a waste of a good night that would be.

As Shesha’s hand slipped into his, Damissan felt a single moment of—regret? Want? Conflict? Something. It plucked at him, from the corners of his conscious, reminding him that moments like this, opportunities like this and the experiences that came with them were rapidly fading into his history, and there was a desire, if ever so slight, to brush his thumb up over the other man’s fingers. He curbed it.
Instead he smiled, and stepped with his company, out off of the balcony, back between the wide arch of the doors leading to it, and into the dance hall once more. The music washed anew over them, along with all the sounds most familiar to him: the hum of chatter, the tinkering of wine glasses, swishing of dresses and tapping of heels. This, for all his life until now, had been home. Familiar. Safe.
And soon, he would leave it all behind. Even if it were for a greater, larger purpose, he could not assuage the first threads of what could only be termed homesickness as they formed—and he had not even left the capitol. He ushered the thought away, and focused on the man before him, stepping in to him, guiding Shesha’s hand up to rest it on his shoulder, and then trailing his own down, to come to a perch on his company’s hip. This, he could do. As the music rolled into the next stanza, he moved them out to the rhythm of it.
“Who last danced with you?” he asked. “When we finish, you will have to be honest with me and tell me if their technique bests mine.”

Shesha gave a smile as the two of them stepped onto the dance floor, starting to move the moment their hands were in place. It was a nice feeling, dancing, the way that one almost floated across the dance floor. It was in that one moment that Shesha would enjoy himself without thinking about everything else going on around him, his mind normally working over time when he was at a party. Who was there, what they were up to, who they were with, and the gathering of rumors... but for now he'd enjoy the dance to the fullest since it was a special sort of dance. "Who I last danced with? My Lady Alhana, of course, I think she was feeling especially eager to annoy Lord Fiath so she made sure that we shared a dance upon our arrival." After that they had gone their separate ways, both mingling but separately. It made him wondering for an idle moment what she might be up to but decided that he would rather save those thoughts for later. Giving a smile he said in a promising tone of voice, "Once our dance is over I will be sure to let you know which was better though." While Shesha already had Lady Alhana he couldn't help but to think of how much a waste it would be for others that Damissan was leaving. He seemed to be quite an interesting fellow, handsome and well spoken, also quite a good dancer. He bet there would be quite the void left behind when he left, making him wonder who among the upper crust was going to try to step in and fill the void. It would be be something worth watching given that Damissan seemed to have many attractive admirers that others would want to make their own once he was gone. It would be quite the battle between various parties, the sort that Shesha would greatly enjoy watching as it played out.

Damissan hummed, his smile warmly amused as he listened. As Shesha finished, he tipped his head, eyebrows arching with subtle curiosity. “Do you prefer to…” He left just enough of a pause there to leave room for innuendo in interpretation, “…dance…with women? Or any who spark your interest?”
Not that it was especially his business, Damissan supposed, but there was no harm in asking, particularly when he would be out of the scene so soon himself regardless. A question born purely of curiosity—and on any other night, he might have accompanied it with a shift of his hand along Shesha’s hip or a tug to notch their bodies closer. On this night he did not. He did, however, let the tips of his fingers shift up to rest at the small of the other man’s back, just near enough to feel the heat of his skin through the silk of his robes.
His chosen path would certainly be an exercise in self-restraint.
As the current song ended and the floor came to a temporary standstill, he caught the stare of Adaj — familiar company — and redirected his gaze back to Shesha. He leaned, dipping as though whisper, lips near to his ear and a scant half inch from the upper rise of his jaw. “Your beloved rumors, I believe, are underway already…and I should see my way out. But rest assured I have enjoyed this night.” As he moved back, he brushed the barest kiss to Shesha’s cheek, and just as quick, was standing before him again with a respectable amount of space between them. “May fortune favor your determination…” A hint of amusement worked its way back into his smile, “…and God be with you.”

Shesha gave a bit of a grin at the question, "Come now, that isn't the sort of question that one should ask in polite company, Lord Damissan, you might chance to offend my delicate consitution." Shesha said in as serious a tone as he could muster, though it didn't really match with the amusement that was shining in his eyes. Shesha saw no reason to announce that he was the sort who'd 'dance' with anyone after all, though it was likely something that was already obvious to anyone that had heard much about him. It was more fun to to answer the way that he had, at least for Shesha. As Damissan leaned in closer, to tell him that his rumors were already underway, he gave a little laugh, "Now to see what tmorrow brings as far as what those rumors will be saying exactly." It was likely to be interesting, that much he was certain of. As he was given the kiss Shesha gave a little jump, his face showing genuine surprise for a moment before he gave a smile, "Well now, aren't you the daring sort." He murmured, watching as Damissan stepped back, bidding him a kind fair well, "Mmm, yes, thank you, Lord Damissan. Do have enjoy the rest of your night." Here was to hoping that Damissan's singular God didn't get him in trouble with the Oba's pantheon Shesha thought to himself. Now there was a fight that would be interesting to see but at the same time even Shesha wanted no part of. Giving a smile Shesha said, "Oh! Before I forget, I think I might have enjoyed the dance with you best, Lord Damissan." He gave the man a wink before parting ways with him. Now, to figure out where Lady Alhana had gone, as well as to see what rumors he might pick up on along the way.
