Rishima Post 8Train her? Rishima's antennae gave a little bounce at the the thought. It wouldn't be the first time that he'd offered training to a sister before but somehow the request felt a lot heavier then usual. Was it the fact that it was Jerarda's child that caused him a moment of hesitation? When he was talking with one of his sisters it was one thing, and though Shima was as well it felt very different. It was... an odd thought, making him wonder if he might be as hesitant were it his own child requesting such a thing of him were he to ever have one. He turned to look over at Jerarda, then to Shima, and then back and forth for a moment, his mind whirling. After a moment he lifted a hand to tap a finger against his lips before he said, "Once your mother feels that it's the right time for such a thing. I am sure that training wasn't the purpose behind your visit today though." He said, wondering exactly how impossible it was to get a youngling to change the subject once their mind was set on something. Thus far it seemed quite difficult, but surely not impossible? He supposed he'd see soon enough he thought to himself. "Until she decides you are ready we can always work on other things, fishing perhaps?" He offered, trying again to use his favorite hobby to distract the girl.

Jerarda Post 9 When Shima demanded that Rishima train him so felt herself groan inwardly. It wasn't that she didn't think that Rishima couldn't teach, it was more that her daughter was putting him in a very awkward position. She was thankful that he pushed the responsibility back towards her in a gentle way. Allowing her to have the final say in the end. "Aye...when you are of age you can train under Rishima..if you desire it." She managed with a sigh, picking up on the fishing lure she tried to match his pace so to distract little Shima from asking more questions. "Do you spear fish Rishima? I say its been a long time since I've fished with you. I think last I was catching them by hand to feed ourselves." She managed bringing up fond memories of the past.
Shima Post 9
The pouting continued, it looked as if she may loose her temper at being told no. She had to be 'older' before she could train. Shima wanted to stamp her feet and throw her fists into the air and it looked as if she was about to do so when the conversation returned to fishing.
Still pursing her lips she looked both to her mother and Rishima. There were different ways to fish? Her curiousity got the better of her and she wanted so badly to know how to do such things. She would bother momma later about training. Fishing right now sounded much more interesting.
"You can catch fish with your hands???" She proclaimed with wide eyes to her mother, "How do you catch fish Riri??" Shima inquired going up to him and grabbing onto a leg. Looking up at him with wide eyes.

Rishima Post 9Giving a nod Rishima said, "The method that I use tends to depend upon the day. If I am in a hurry I will see about just spearing them, but on days when I have time and want to just do something relaxing I will catch them by hand." There really was nothing more relaxing then hand fishing since it involved a lot of waiting still and silent in the water, "It might not be the most efficient manner to catch fish but at the same time if you're patient enough you can catch some pretty big ones." He said, giving a smile. Turning to look toward Shima as the girl came to cling to his leg. He laughed and said, "I can, yes. It's something I've been doing since I was a prentice, so something that I have a bit of practice with. It can be quite fun. How? Well, that's not to hard. I will wade into the water, usually up to my knees, lean over to cast a shadow over the water, then it involves some waiting. The fish will be drawn over to the shadow, seeng me as something to hide under, and then it's just a matter of catching one." He explained to her. "Using your antennae you can feel the vibrations in the water when the fish get close as well, it's something that we can use to our advantage." It might seem a little like cheating since other tribes didn't have the same option, but Rishima still took advantage since it meant getting fish for Gerraden and himself.

Jerarda Post 10 The older sister began to relax as the subject turned towards fishing rather than the dying forest. She was also glad that Shima seemed to understand when to drop the subject, though she was sure to hear about it later. "Aye catching by the fish by hand can take quite a bit of patience, but very fullfilling when you did it that way. " Jera summed up with a nod of her head, crossing her arms over her chest as Rishima went about explaining the technique. She wasn't entirely sure if Shima would understand the complexities when it came to fishing. Seeing how her daughter clung to Rishima and given him a rather cute nickname she tried not to laugh as 'Ri Ri' had Shima latch onto him. "Come on Shima, you shouldn't cling like that. We should probably head back home."
Shima Post 10
Shima listened to Riri with large eyes her admiration for Rishima had grown quite a bit in just the short while they had been together.
"woooooow" She whispered as she then did a little prance with her feet as if trying to contain her excitement. "I wanna catch fish with my hands!" She exclaimed "I wanna do it!" Shima continued though when her mother announced it was time for them to go home her giddiness quickly turned to anger.
"Nooo!! I don't wanna go! I want to fish with Ri Ri!" Shima declared rather loudly.

Rishima Post 10Turning to his sister he gave a smile, flushing a bit, "Yeah, it's always fulfilling when I am able to catch a good sized fish by hand. Of course then there are the times I catch a fish that is either too big or too feisty to catch easily." Having to wrestle with fish was never easy, and instead sometimes embarrassing when he got knocked over into the water by one. Giving a laugh he said, "I'd suggest if you try fishing in that manner, Shima, that you start with smaller fish first so that they don't knock you in." Rishima glanced between the pair as Jerarda mentioned that they should head back home, "Already, sister? A shame since you just got here, but I understand. You do have more little ones waiting for you to get back, as well as your mate." He doubted that Jerarda wanted to be without her family for too long and he did appreciate her visiting him even if the visit was a short one. Looking down at Shima he said, "How about you visit me again? When you do we will definitely go fishing together."

Jerarda Post 11:
Jerarda sighed as Shima protested rather loudly against leaving Rishima's side. It seemed that often it was Shima who got super cranky when she was tired. She also tended to be the most excitable and extreme of all her siblings as well. Seeing her stifle a yawn she stretched her own arms and rolled her shoulders. It was going to be a long trek back with the little one on her back, she would certainly feel it in the morning. Leaning over she then went to scoop up Shima who gave a small cry of protest as she did so.
Shima Post 11
"Nononononono!" She shouted although she was starting to sound tired she could sense it in her own she didn't want to leave Rishima. He was just so cool! Twisting in her mothers arms she reached for Rishima pathetically as if hoping he would save her from the terrible world of naps.
"I wans Riri!!" She cried out again tears starting to gather in her eyes.

Rishima Post 11
Rishima gave a little smile as the girl started to protest over the fact that she had to leave, looking a bit on the over tired side. He reached out, giving her a gentle pat on the head, "You can come visit again in the future, Shima, and perhaps I will go and visit you at your home as well." He might have to bring Gerraden along as well if he wanted to go, so that they could visit with Jerarda's family together. It would be a nice thing to do, one that would help to lighten his heart.
"Perhaps when we next visit we can go out, go fishing, or the like. It will be fun." He said, glancing toward his sister, giving her a smile.

Jerarda Post 12 :
There was still a lot of protesting and Jerarda knew she would just have to leave and then shima would calm down. Giving her 'brother' a apologetic smile she shifted Shima onto her back with some juggling as she was attempting to get out of her grasp.
"Come on Shima behave or you won't get to see Rishima again. You will make him sad acting like that." Jerarda tried to reason with her daughter.
Shima Post 12:
Shima was still in the midst of protesting when Jerarda threatened not to bring her back to see Rishima. She quieted nearly instantly, as she did want to see Riri again.... Giving him a big eyed look as it silently pleading with him to take her away from her mom.
"o..kay...b..bye Riri.." she managed in a whisper looking irritated and sad at the same time. Burrowing her head into her mothers back as if acknowledging that it was time for them to leave.

Rishima Post 12
Rishima lifted a hand, giving a little wave, "It was nice to have you, please visit again, Sister." He said to Jerarda, then looked over at Shima, "You as well, Shima." The visit was nice if short. It made him smile a bit as he watch them as they headed on their way. It was a little sad to see them leave, he'd been enjoying the visit, but he knew he'd see them again.
Now it was time for him to get back to work, perhaps he'd see about making a meal for Gerraden and himself to share once he got back.
