Moving his head back, so he could look at the other, he blinked dark eyes at him. "Mmm." Nodding his head once as he hummed his agreement. "Yes, don't want to fall on ice." No, he didn't want to hurt himself, or leave himself bruised up and sore afterwards. That was one thing he didn't care to do, deal with a bruised tailbone and a**, as it would possibly bother him if he got into a fight as Venice or other things...
Staring at the other, his face only a scant few inches from the others, he smiled gently at him. "You'll keep me from falling though." And he was grateful for that. And one hand moved, his right, and went to ruffle the others hair.

If there was a bit more coloring to Terry's cheeks then normal then he was blaming it on the room temperature. It certainly had nothing to do with Seung's closeness, smile, or anything of the like. Really. "Of course. I would be a very bad host to invite you only to let you fall when teaching you how to skate." He agreed with a small smile. He would have fixed his hair but at this point he wasn't sure he wanted to let the other go just yet, not fully trusting his balance.

Which was just fine by Seung who was content to remain right where he was, balance or not, instead he moved again in order to now watch some other group of people. "It's not as cold as I thought it would be." He said after a moment before he slowly decided to step back, he did want to learn to skate after all.
"I think I'm good...but walking...like normal or no?" How to get from here, where it was carpeted, to the ice? Did he take big steps, little ones, shuffle? Or just walk like normal? He sort of wondered if he'd just fall right over onto his face, could he even reach the floor with his face, like in an anime, if he fell forward? He really hoped he could keep his balance, at least most of the time. Taking off the northface he wore, the under armor shirts sleeves came up as the northface was removed. Letting the northface land on the bench he'd been using to get the skates on.

Terry relaxed a bit when Seung moved back a bit. "It's always a bit warmer when you aren't right on the ice and even then it's not as cold as you might expect." He said with a half shrug, careful so his movements didn't throw Seung off. "For now the easiest way for you to walk would be to take short steps while keeping your feet parallel to the ground. This way you wont throw yourself off until you are more used to it." He said and moved one of his feet to the side to show the other man how to keep his foot when he stepped. "Once you get the hang of it then you can walk a bit more normal."

"Oh? So then not needed?" He asked motioning to the discarded northface that now lay on a bench. He had almost considered bringing something warmer and heavier, but it would hinder movement. He also figured given what pro ice skaters wore on the ice, and practiced in, he should be fine as he was.
Nodding his head he sort of understood and did take a few little, very short, steps though had to correct his balance a few times as he did so. This would be easier once he was on the ice - right? Oh he hoped so, and he figured it would be as it made sense - right? As he copied the others movement he found himself getting his balance easier and quicker as he made his way toward the opening that led out to the ice. "Thank you." He had thus far not rolled his sleeves back down but now, as his hands finally hit the wall separating the sitting area and the ice, he reached with right hand to pull down left sleeve and vice versa. He had started to feel his arms chilling a bit as he reached the ice.
Fingers brushed over a bruise, actually two close together, on his left arm at the juncture point for his elbow. Right inside the crease. It wasn't anything he'd worried about it was something which was fading slowly, as such tings tended to take time, and had been ignored since he'd gotten them. They were really nothing to him.

Terry looked at the northface then back at Seung and nodded. "It shouldn't be needed. Once you start to move around freely on the ice you will start to heat up as well." He moved with Seung when he started to head towards the ice, keeping close so he could either catch him, or be used as a stabilizer for his balance when he needed it. At first his attention was just on making sure that Seung didn't fall so he didn't notice the bruises really, if he had he might have dismissed them as bruises possibly caused by a fight when he was powered. Or he would have until he actually looked at them better which he did when the other man pulled his sleeves down and unintentionally drew attention to the bruises briefly. Terry frowned for a moment but didn't say anything about them just yet, instead focusing on keeping Seung on his feet. "Once you are on the ice, stick close to the wall at first. Instead of walking, to move on the ice you need to keep your feet on the ground and push them forward while angling them slightly away from your body. This way you wont try to push in a straight line, possibly end up pulling your legs too close together and tripping." He made a mental note to ask about the bruises later but kept his mind on making sure he wont cause more bruises right now.

"Won't they go too far apart?" And then he'd wind up doing a splint? He hoped that wouldn't happen, as it was likely to hurt and possibly split his pants which would not be a good thing. Not only would it mean ruined pants but he really didn't need people seeing him with a hole, or tear, in his pants and seeing whatever they'd see.
"Ok...so like sliding?" He asked. Though without his feet close together so they didn't get too close as he skated. But he still wondered if they couldn't go too far apart somehow if his legs angled wrong. Hmmm...he'd have to work on it, tricky thing it would be really but he'd get it, in time anyway. "Ok, I'll keep to wall." Which he figured anyway. He didn't want to get in other peoples way or risk falling as he'd have nothing to use to keep his balance. The wall would help with that, he could rest if he needed it ,and he could hopefully use it to lessen any falls he might have. Yes, keeping to the wall was a very good idea.
He hadn't noticed the other gaze finding the marks on his arm but that was because he didn't think about them, not beyond the pouting when he'd gotten them, as they weren't something to be bothered about nor the cause for them. They weren't to be hidden and he didn't hide them when he wore short sleeves.

"Only if you let them. Try to only let your legs go a step or twos length in front of you at most first." Terry said with a nod. "You want the push but you have to remain in control." "Very close to sliding. You aim to glide over the ice after all." He said and then after making sure Seung was at the wall he put a tiny bit of distance between them. "Here, watch me so you can get an idea on what to do." He gave a couple slow pushes on the ice to for a few feet in front of Seung then turned and went back to him. "Once you get steadier and more control over the way your feet move, then you can start to keep your legs closer, but you need the control first so you don't trip yourself like I said."

Ok, so baby steps from the sound of it. That he could do and decided to do just that. Taking a little step, or rather sliding a little ways with one foot he went to move the other slowly. It really was going to be a learning process but one he was more than willing to go through.
Watching the other gave him a better idea of what he needed to do, and he was just a bit envious of the others ability to turn and not fall. He was sure if he were to try and turn while skating he'd be right on his a**. He was stuck going in one direction, not that he wanted to go against the oncoming people anyway as that could cause issues. But as he'd seen the other, and having tried a tiny step or two already, he continued pushing, or rather sliding, a bit with the skates as he tried not to look down at his feet as he figured that might be a bit detrimental, sort of like driving how you didn't look right in front of the car but further ahead. Looking down at your feet he figured would only cause him to do something wrong, or not see something. "You skate well." And the other did, how long had he been ice skating he wondered.

Terry kept a close eye on Seung's movements to make sure he wasn't going to pitch forward, backward, or sideways any time soon. So far it looked like the other man wasn't having too much difficulty but he knew that could quickly change at any time and he would rather be safe then sorry. "Thank you." He said with a small smile as he made short movements that kept him at Seung's pace. "I've had years of practice, though I will admit that you are the first person I have tried to teach to skate so fair warning I have no idea if I'm good at said teaching." The warning was probably over due but oh well. "My mother is the reason I got into skating in the first place." He offered up.

"You are fine teacher." And so far he did seem to be, but when he reached out to place a hand on the others shoulder, a smile already in place. he seemed to pitch forward just a bit and in an effort to right himself he over did it and went backward, arms moving about to try and balance himself but instead he landed on his a** as his feet slipped out from under him.
Staring up at the other from the ice he blinked, that was unexpected and surprising, a small rush even as he'd tried to save himself from the fall. "Your mother?" He questioned, what he would have asked right before his loss of balance. As he asked this he was getting onto hands and knees and slowly working one foot under himself and slowly working toward climbing up onto his feet. He really wasn't sure how to do this without failing or seeming very stupid and clumsy.

"Well thank you for tha-...!" Terry cut himself off when Seung over balance and started to fall. He tried to grab him in time but he just managed to miss the other man and winced when he his the ice. He was about to ask if he was alright when Seung's expression and question registered and startled a laugh out of him. He reached down to help pull him up off the ice. "Are you okay?" He finally asked as he took hold of one of Seung's arms. "And yes, my mother taught me when I was little."

Letting the other help him to his feet, where he almost lost his balance again, he wound up clinging to the other and pressed close to Terry for fear of falling again. It wasn't that it hurt but the startle it caused by falling and the sudden impact with the ice - that all he'd like to avoid.
"I'm good - was startling." He answered as he slowly drew back from the other in order to see if he could manage on his own, well sort of on his own. Without clinging to the other he had his balance back, though he was now holding the wall with one hand and holding onto Terry with the other.
"Very nice thing to learn - to skate." He said honestly, and it was. He had learned to cook from his and Terry had learned to skate. He liked his mother, they were close, and he couldn't picture her not around. He often felt for his cousin as she had lost her parents, all in one night, he couldn't imagine loosing his mother much less his mother and father. So far his cousin seemed to be doing better here in Destiny City, away from Seoul and away from where it had all happened. But he did wonder if she didn't miss her friends and the familiar as from the familiar one could gain comfort while in a foreign place a person could lose them self...drown and have to re-find the,self...a changed them. To not have the support she would have back there, not that she had none here, but it had to be hard on her. He often watched her, closely, and worried he might be neglecting his sister some because of it. perhaps he should, once he got good at skating, take them both for an afternoon spent together? That meant he really needed to get the hang of this.

Terry kept his grasp on Seung's arm as the other first clinged to him and then found purchase on the wall. "Good. On the bright side, now you know what will happen if you fall so you wont be dreading worse." He said as he visually checked the other man over just in case. "That it is. She started to teach me how to roller skate when I was six and then to ice skate when I was ten. It has always been a good way to spend time with her." He said with a smile. It had always been an activity between him and his Mom, just like Matt shared soccer with their Dad. Not that the entire family didn't do both together at times it was just that every so often they would split off in the two groups and have some one on one time.

"Mmm, it's good." It was though he might still brace for impact and be startled each time he fell, how could you not? Not sure how hard you'd hit or just which instant you'd make contact with the ground. Even if he'd already fallen it would still have it's issues each time, as if it were new each time.
"That is good, spending time with her. You are close?" He asked casually. His fingers racking through his hair and his head moving to toss the hair on the left side of his face out of the way, as if it would work. His hair style was different and the left side fell down into his face, all his hair dyed but in two different colors, there was no way to get that section on the left side of his face to not hang there in the way as it did. The length, the parting of his hair, all of it lent to that. But he still tossed his hair from his face fairly often, or brushed it aside but never tucked it behind his pierced left ear.
Had he remained home, back in Korea, he'd eventually have to let it all grow back and the natural color come back in. he'd have to cut it short, into a respectable style, and remove his piercings. He'd decided that between graduating high school and graduating university he'd look however he wanted. He wouldn't' be able to after university when he entered the work force, nor when he served the mandatory two years military service. Now though he had a chance to look as he wanted, till he had to serve anyway, and so his hair and piercings would remain as they were no matter what anyone said or thought. He might change things, with his hair, eventually but it would be his choice not a need or requirement and he did like that. it was one thing he really did like about this place.
Placing his hand back onto the others shoulder to steady himself he moved a bit closer to him as he moved one skate in front of the other.
